Chapter 135 - Second Phase - Combat replicas

On the surface above the underground portion of the base, several dozen warships stood on platforms. These ships were built using the fused knowledge of all the races currently in Lisia's database. Their size was between that of an A-Class and a B-Class warship. However, it was made to be more agile than the A-Class warship as well as more powerful than a B-Class Warship.

Each of these warships could probably go toe to toe with a C-Class battleship if the situation called for it, and even survive a direct strike from a D-Class battle ship. Several engineers inspected each and every one of these ships to ensure they followed the blueprints exactly. Once they were satisfied, they moved on to the next.

A large door opened on the side of the mountain's base and several hundred Lisia replicas marched out onto the surface in uniform formation. They had all received massive upgrades and their humanoid forms had been completely overhauled. They were currently being powered by hybrid cores of dark matter, mana and plasma.

There were two versions of the replicas.

The first version, making up two-thirds of their number, stood at heights of close to thirteen feet, with two pairs of arms each, a large and long reptilian-like tail and bodies made up of almost impermeable armour made from the combination of shape memory metal specially produced in the Japanese branch of the research Institute and salvaged alien alloys. This metal, though extremely tough and durable, still allowed for smooth and flexible actions without the fear of wear or tear. These replicas were essentially giant female Mechas.

Each of this version of the replica had an arsenal of autonomous retractable tracer weapons imbedded within their armour-like bodies. While one pair of arms held beam lances made of a combination of tungsten and other high entropy alloys for close quarters combat whilst the other pair of hands held on to weapons that appeared to be specially made torpedo canons and miniature railguns. Their tails had stinger-like blades, made from the same material as the lances, meant for close combat, with cannons that fired high intensity lasers capable of shredding metal attached to it for mid to long range combat.

The other version, made up of the remaining one-third, stood at heights of seven feet, also with two pairs of arms and a tail but with a sleeker body structure also made with shape memory metal-alien alloy mix, with proportions in the right places. These replicas were tasked with piloting the several scores of warships built by the Guardians.

The entire replica squadron marched directly under the previously constructed warp tunnel and stood in formation.

"They are ready for transport. As planned, they will be making their base on the orbital satellite platform we launched just outside the atmosphere. They will remain dormant until the invasion starts", Emmanuel reported as he stood with the squad.

"Before they go, I believe it is the right opportunity to cast defensive and reflective barriers on them. It should increase their defense as well as their battle lifespan", Ang-Streum suggested.

"You're right. The longer they are able to stay in battle, the better our chances of victory", Emmanuel agreed.

"Judicara…please assist me. With both of us casting the spells, the effects should compound, making the barriers stronger". "Of course, I'll be happy to help", Judicara said as she joined him and walked towards the formation of Mechas and fleet of warships.

They stood before the formation and after lifting their arms, shouted, ""Tospringe-Vanitas!!"". The replicas and warships glowed as their surfaces appeared to be slowly covered in two silk-like films that fused, causing another glow before disappearing. "It is done. The hybrid cores should help maintain their strengths", Ang-Streum reported as they stepped back a little tired.

"Initiate!" Emmanuel requested and the warp tunnel hummed to life as it was activated, the wormhole fully opening and stabilizing a minute later.

"You have your orders, now prepare to depart!" Samuel commanded and with a salute, the smaller replicas split off from the formation and headed for the warships. Each warship was piloted by two replicas; their multiple arms giving them the ability to efficiently control the ship without any delays in operation.

The warships hummed to life as they were slowly raised off the platform by their thrusters. Once high enough, their noses pointed upward and with a forceful launch, all the warships shot upwards towards the tunnel followed by the mechas that launched off the ground with their miniature repulsion thrusters, flying towards the tunnel and passing through easily.

The wormhole exited outside the planet's atmosphere, on a large platform attached to a massive satellite. The Mechas arranged themselves in formation on slots etched into the platform to hold on to them firmly. The warships docked onto slots of their own. Once this was done, they all powered down, going on stand-by mode; watching and waiting.

...….

"Father, a thought just crossed my mind", Arsenaim said drawing his wrathful father's attention. They had been travelling at hyper speed and were just a few hours from the natural wormhole they had chosen to use.

"What is it?" Mamon asked with an angry glare stunning his son a little. "I suspect the Earthlings will be expecting us with their full force. The records in the federation mentioned that they were yet to explore space but even so, they managed to repel our first attack. I suspect the record is old or the Earthlings suddenly had a boost in the growth of their technology that the federation is yet to realize. I suggest we first send scouts to observe what they have in store for us".

"As a planet, Earth is very fragile. I suspect that is why they repelled the first attack instead of tanking it. If my guess is right, their forces will be waiting to meet us in combat outside the planet's atmosphere. With our power over the wormhole, we can split up our forces and have one distract their forces while the rest of us are transported directly onto the planet past their defense and easily wipe them out from both sides. This will make it so much easier in trampling them underfoot", Arsenaim delivered his plan.

"Hmm! That's not a bad idea", Mamon said after a thought. His face brightened in agreement after thinking through his son's plan. "That's a brilliant plan. We'll put it into effect immediately we exit the wormhole. Well done!" Mamon commended his son. "Thank you, father, I live to serve", Arsenaim replied with a bow; hiding a smirk.

"Patch me through to the generals", Mamon commanded and the helmsman in charge of communication quickly obeyed. The plan was quickly made known to them and they were charged with assigning the troupes for both teams.

"I'll be in my chambers. Call for me wen the time comes", Mamon said as he walked out of the control room. "Victory is within my reach. I can almost taste it", he said as he walked down the hall way, his guards saluting him as he passed by.
