Julian whispered under his breath.
They've gotten very far in the castle, but now, they were standing in front of the entrance to the prison.

They weren't looking really interested in doing their guard duties, but Julian could tell that they were strong—Immortals easily.

His heart was literally hitting against his chest as he was feeling extremely nervous but also excited.
Nervous as if they got caught, they were obviously dead, and excited because they could be meeting with Kiernan after so long!
"I can't sneak through them, as I would have to open the door, and unless they are sleeping, they would see that.

Julian scratched Fen, and he wagged his tail and looked excited to help.
It had been a long time since Fen had seen his "Father," and if he could've, he would've tried saving Kiernan a long time ago.
