I understand now. When spies act independently, it is almost always to protect themselves. Perhaps she thought I would trade information about my spies and informants to save my own skin. She should know that I would not do such a thing, but perhaps she would if she were in such a position. My spies are often as untrustworthy to me as they are to their targets.
I won't have much need for my spies in Oswald Kingdom, now. In the Fairy King's service, I can collect information from the Oswald Kingdom's nobility, directly. I may reassign those spies or release them from my service. I should release that maid from my service. She can continue being a maid for the Everett estate.
