[I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you. . .] I heard Rose's voice as our magic entwined.
When I looked at her, her lips weren't moving. She was just looking at me with her usual attentive stare and eager smile. Creepiness aside, I think it's pretty obvious what's going on here.
"Is something wrong?" Rose asked. The 'I love you' chanting didn't even pause as she spoke aloud.
"Oh, uh, it's nothing." I said, noticing the expression on my face.
I was eyeing Rose in surprise mixed with a little shock. I don't think I want to tell her I'm reading her mind right now.
I untangled our magic and let go.
"Why did you stop? I think I felt something."
"I think I need a break. Let's try again later." I said as I got up to leave.
It sounds like Rose didn't hear my thoughts, thankfully. I don't know how she would react to hearing my thoughts about her being kind of creepy. I peeled her and a few other fairies off of me as I got up to leave.
