Mary probably wants to learn magic too. I know I would if I was her. I would have taught Mary to do magic at the same time I taught Suzan if I knew it would work. The main reason I taught Suzan to do magic was to better understand what sets me apart from human and elf mages.
Now, teaching magic to anyone else would be a favor, but it's hardly any trouble. So, I wouldn't mind teaching her.
"Come in." I called while Mary was hesitating to knock on my door.
"Good evening, my king." Mary said as she entered. "May I be alone with you tonight?"
Oh, that sounds perfect. I was trying to think of a way to dodge my conjugal duties tonight. I'm still feeling drained after what the fairies did to me yesterday. It's not that I couldn't do it, it just feels like such a chore right now. I have decided that Mary is entitled to some alone time with me, so I have a great excuse to keep the others away.
"Yes, of course."
