Chapter 1102 - Farewell!

Hello, I'm GodOfReader. You probably already know me by now. I'm not really sure how to begin, but I started translating novels about a year ago. My very first project was an apocalypse novel titled Apocalyptic Villain: Female Leads, Don't Even Think About Running.

When I first began, I was pretty naive. I thought I could make a lot of money just by translating novels without much effort. But reality hit hard—turns out, it's not that simple. So, I started working on more projects like Soul Land fanfics, One Piece fanfics, and High School DxD fanfics. Eventually, I came across hollywood type novel. Honestly, it wasn't something I liked at first. That's when I discovered Sayonara816 and read his translated work Rebirth as an American Tycoon.

That was the turning point for me. I became fascinated with the way he handled his translations. He would remove nationalism, racism, and excessive Chinese cultural propaganda from the novels he worked on, sometimes rewriting or summarizing those parts instead. I became a fan right then because I absolutely can't stand it when a good Chinese novel turns unbearable due to nationalism or racial bias.

After finishing all his translated works, I visited his Patreon intending to support him, but he didn't have any membership tiers. I noticed he was asking for suggestions on what to translate next, and someone mentioned Entertainment: Starting as a Succubus, Taking Hollywood by Storm. Unfortunately, that novel received the least votes and wasn't chosen. Out of curiosity, I read the MTL version. I liked it at first, but around chapters 500–600, I dropped it. Because of too much nationalism.

About a month later, I thought—why not translate it myself and clean up all the filthy parts. Remove the nationalism, racism, and China Namba Wan elements. So I announced my plan on my Patreon (which has since been deleted) and posted the first chapter of this novel which is eleven months ago. Initially, I only planned to translate around 200–300 chapters since I assumed I'd lose motivation eventually—and I did. When my Patreon got deleted, I stopped uploading for about a month or two.

But after reading the comments and receiving messages from my older readers, I decided not to drop it. I picked up the pace again (dropped all of my other works except this novel) and continued translating until now. And finally—I've finished translating the entire novel. Not gonna lie, I've grown really attached to it. Translating 3–5 chapters a day became part of my daily routine. Now that it's over, I feel empty, even though I was excited about finally free off this novel a few days ago.

As a reader, did i do a good job as a translator of this novel and cleaning the Chinese elements?

Thank you all so much for reading and supporting me along the way.

I'm GodOfReader, and this marks the completion of this novel.
