The divine power Odin entrusted to the Wonder Woman clone was now transferred to Anton.
The power of a god!
Anton clenched his fist. This was Odin's divine power—but now, it belonged to him.
He could clearly feel a warm current surging through his body. The energy was gentle, yet beneath the surface it held explosive potential when summoned.
At the same time, it continued to strengthen him from within. Power flowed through every cell of his body—gathering, energizing, and invigorating him.
"The gift of a god-king truly is extraordinary…"
Anton exhaled deeply.
Being so familiar with Wonder Woman's abilities, he knew exactly how much he'd changed. Under the influence of Odin's power, he had undergone a complete transformation. At this point, he was comparable to the gods of Asgard.
Most importantly, this wasn't power granted by his system. This power was truly his—it belonged to Anton.
He flexed his hand slowly, spreading his fingers.
Whoosh—
A sphere of soft, milky-white light formed in his palm, rising and falling gently with his thoughts. It radiated potent energy—enough to level a building with ease. Yet in Anton's hand, the sphere remained perfectly still, perfectly obedient, like a tamed beast lowering its head.
Whoosh—
The next moment, Anton flicked his wrist, and the ball of light vanished into thin air.
"Talk about a lucky windfall..."
He muttered to himself, a faint smile on his lips. "Makes me feel a little guilty. I guess I have to help Asgard with Ragnarok now—just to return the favor."
On the rooftop…
Thor and Wonder Woman had both witnessed Odin's death with their own eyes. His divine energy had been released and channeled into their bodies.
Thor's strength had increased as well, thanks to his father's final gift.
Meanwhile, the portion absorbed by Wonder Woman had long since been redirected—to Anton, who remained at the company.
"Thor..."
Wonder Woman finally broke the silence, seeing him still staring at the place where Odin had vanished.
"That's it. You heard what Odin said, right?"
"What?"
Thor blinked, coming back to reality. "You mean about Ragnarok?"
"Exactly."
Wonder Woman nodded. From his reaction, she could tell Thor didn't fully understand what Odin had meant.
"Ragnarok is just a myth."
Sure enough, Thor shrugged. "I don't know why Father brought it up. Does he really believe Asgard will be destroyed?"
"If you don't believe it, ask Heimdall."
Wonder Woman said calmly. "He teleported you here, which means he heard everything I said to Odin."
She paused, then continued, "I don't have time to explain it all. Let's head back to Asgard. That woman—Hela—will probably show up soon. I'll follow through on Odin's request and summon Superman to help defend Asgard. We can still change your fate."
Thor didn't respond, but silently gave the signal. A shimmering portal opened as Heimdall responded to his call.
He and Wonder Woman stepped through, returning to Asgard.
In truth, Thor wasn't entirely ignorant of Ragnarok. Odin had hinted at it before—briefly, vaguely.
But Thor, never one to dwell on cryptic warnings, had simply brushed it off.
The Twilight of the Gods was mentioned in several legends and prophecies of Asgard.
But perhaps only Odin truly understood that those tales were not mere stories—they were real. Over time, however, many important figures were lost to history, erased by the relentless flow of time. Words once spoken in pain or vengeance eventually faded into myth, reducing warnings to mere legends and omens.
Boom!
Soon, Heimdall activated the Bifrost. A brilliant beam of rainbow light enveloped Thor and Wonder Woman, instantly transporting the two back to Asgard.
All that remained on the rooftop was a faint magical imprint—evidence that they had ever been there.
Moments later…
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arrived at the rooftop, following tips from New Yorkers who had witnessed the earlier phenomenon. They spotted the mark on the ground and immediately recognized it as a trace left by Thor.
But they had come too late—they didn't know what had happened here.
The brothers exchanged glances.
"Forget it. Let's go back for pizza. Don't forget—George promised to treat the whole task force."
"Whatever's going on, Batman probably knows already. No point in poking around—let's just ask Anton later."
"Makes sense."
With that, the turtles nodded in agreement and left the rooftop.
These days, the New York Police Department was nothing like the one from the past.
After establishing ties with the Justice League, the turtles had joined the NYPD's special task force, quickly becoming one of the city's most recognizable and effective teams.
That said, their reputation wasn't built overnight.
After multiple attempts at redemption and "cleaning the slate," George Stacy and the turtles decided to make a bold move—they reached out directly to New York's most powerful underground organization, the High Table.
From then on, the NYPD task force began to secretly cooperate with the Continental Hotel and its network. While the partnership wasn't exactly built on trust, it had proven surprisingly effective.
The High Table's strict code of conduct brought a degree of order to the city's underworld—making life easier for the police, and giving everyday New Yorkers a bit more peace.
Asgard.
Thor and Wonder Woman emerged at the center of the Rainbow Bridge.
Heimdall stepped down from the control pedestal, looked Thor in the eyes, and said solemnly:
"From this day forward, you are the King of the Gods, Thor."
"Heimdall…"
Thor began to speak—but the words died on his lips. His face was unreadable, a complex blend of grief and resignation.
There was no joy in inheriting the throne.
Though he'd been raised from childhood to become Odin's successor, now that the moment had arrived—it felt hollow. The weight of the crown was overshadowed by the pain of loss.
His father was gone.
After a long silence, Thor finally spoke.
"Whatever else happens, we must first prepare a proper funeral for Father."
Heimdall gave a respectful nod.
"You are right."
Then, Thor turned his gaze toward Wonder Woman.
"Diana," he said after a pause, his voice low, "what do you plan to do about Ragnarok?"
Wonder Woman looked at Heimdall with mild surprise, as if she had read something from the look in his eyes.
"That's my responsibility," she replied calmly. "Since Odin entrusted this to me, I don't need to report to you. Just wait and see the results."
Heimdall's brow furrowed slightly.
As the guardian of the Nine Realms, he knew many of Asgard's deepest secrets. Regarding the Twilight of the Gods, he had his own suspicions—he had intended to share them with Wonder Woman, but her decisive dismissal of his offer left him silent.
Without saying more, Heimdall turned and led the two into the palace.
"Thor, give me a map of the palace," Wonder Woman said once they arrived, scanning the surroundings and briefly releasing her divine power. She then extended her hand to Thor.
Thor looked at Heimdall, uncertain.
Heimdall gave a sigh, then instructed the nearby palace guard: "Take her wherever she wants to go."
Turning back to Diana, he added, "We don't keep maps here. Every guard is a walking map—just ask if you need directions."
"Alright. I'll move on my own, then," Wonder Woman said with a nod. "Don't worry about Ragnarok—I'll handle it."
With that, the sound of her heels echoed through the halls as she walked away.
Thor and Heimdall watched her leave. Although they trusted her due to Odin's final wishes, they still couldn't fully understand her behavior.
She clearly didn't want them involved.
Did she think they'd only get in the way?
As warriors of Asgard—two of the strongest—such an assumption seemed unlikely to them. And precisely because they dismissed the correct answer, confusion set in.
"She knows something," Heimdall said suddenly, breaking the silence. Thor looked over, surprised.
"What do you mean?" he asked. "About Ragnarok? What is it, really? Will Asgard be destroyed? That's just a legend… Why would Father treat it so seriously? Is there something he didn't tell us?"
He paused, then recalled something else.
"Actually, Father once asked me to go to Earth to find Loki after he escaped from the palace prison. But I searched all over and couldn't find him. I'm sure now—Loki isn't on Earth. Maybe… he never left Asgard. Heimdall, do you think Loki is connected to Ragnarok?"
"Possibly," Heimdall nodded. "But there's something else I've discovered."
"Oh?" Thor perked up. "What did you find?"
"In our recorded history, there seems to be a figure who was deliberately erased. A ghost of history, drifting between myth and legend… I noticed some discrepancies long ago, but didn't give them much thought. Now, after hearing the All-Father's final words to Wonder Woman, it all feels wrong. Odin knew exactly what Ragnarok is."
"And he seemed… regretful."
Thor's eyes widened as Heimdall spoke, recalling Odin's expression in his final moments—peaceful, but tinged with sorrow.
"I get it!" Thor suddenly clapped his hands.
"You do?" Heimdall's eyes lit up. "You understand what Ragnarok really is? Or why Odin had regrets?"
"No." Thor shook his head. "I mean, since we clearly don't know anything and are just guessing… let's ask Mother."
"Ask the Queen…" Heimdall repeated, thinking it over.
Though the idea seemed almost too simple, he had to admit—it might be the best option they had right now.
While Heimdall and Thor made their way to Frigga's palace, Wonder Woman, accompanied by a palace guard, arrived at one of Asgard's most sacred places: the Hall of Eternal Records—a vast chamber that chronicled Asgard's great history.
This was, in fact, the main hall of the palace, though it hadn't hosted a full assembly of the gods in ages.
The towering walls and arched ceiling were covered in vivid murals, each one depicting Asgard's long and storied past, stretching back thousands of years.
But something was missing.
There was no depiction of Hela.
In all those grand paintings and carvings, not a single image, not even a shadow, gave any clue of her existence.
This may be why Hela decided to kill upon returning to Asgard.
To be honest, Odin truly broke her heart.
Moreover, Wonder Woman actually knew that Odin did not seal Hela within Asgard.
Odin was not that foolish.
Hela's madness and ambition were so vast that Odin found them terrifying.
Hela didn't just want to dominate the Nine Realms—she wanted to rule the entire universe, to make the cosmos bow at her feet, and force everyone to kneel and kiss her toes eagerly.
The real reason Wonder Woman came to the palace hall was that she was waiting for Hela to return.
As a symbol of Asgard's transfer of power, the palace hall was a place Hela would undoubtedly visit.
Not to mention, the frescoes on the surrounding walls and the dome chronicled the history of Asgard.
Hela would certainly want to see if she was depicted in history.
In this world, who knows her story?
Once the eldest princess of Asgard, Odin's first child, she helped Odin conquer the Nine Realms.
As Asgard's executioner and the former wielder of Thor's Hammer, she killed countless enemies who had threatened the peace of the Nine Realms.
"You can go."
Wonder Woman glanced at the guard beside her and calmly ordered, "I don't need you here. And make sure no one disturbs me."
"Yes."
The guard nodded and immediately retreated.
Frigga's Bedroom, Queen of Asgard, Odin's wife.
Thor had arrived to speak with his mother.
"Mother."
He looked at her with sorrowful eyes, his voice heavy. "Father is dead. He has returned to the embrace of the universe."
"I know."
Frigga was calm, as though she had known this day would come for a long time and had already prepared herself.
She embraced Thor and gently touched his face, smoothing the sorrow on it.
She whispered softly, "Thor, actually, you know… I should have been with him. I died once before, but something happened that changed all of this... You have your brother to thank for that."
"Brother? Loki?"
Thor frowned in confusion. "Mother, what does all this mean? What does Loki have to do with it? Before Father died, he mentioned the Twilight of the Gods… Is that related to Loki?"
"No."
Frigga shook her head calmly. "The Twilight of the Gods is indeed tied to your siblings, but it is not Loki who is the source of it. It is your sister."
"Sister?"
Thor was stunned. "I have a sister?"
"Yes."
Frigga nodded, lost in thought, her eyes distant as if gazing into the past. "That was many years ago, before Odin ruled the Nine Realms… Your sister was the executioner of Asgard and the former wielder of Thor's Hammer. She was extraordinary. Odin was able to rule the Nine Realms because of her contribution."
