In the roofless hallways once again I found myself thinking about how I didn't see any servants. It was the same when we had walked into the palace earlier making me wonder if there was a reason for that, A cultural difference or a personal one from Thorn. I had barely even taken a few steps forward before I heard the sounds of hurried footsteps making their way in my direction.
"Hero!" I looked over my shoulder at the shout and saw the figure of a boy who was franticly waving his hand.
He had wavy black hair that fell into his face slightly and a pair of fluffy wolf ears sitting on top of his head. The boy was quite short and I think only a few inches or so taller than Aria which wasn't a significant accomplishment, After all basically everyone was taller than she was. His face still had a lot of baby fat especially in his cheeks making him look very adorable, And with his fluffy ears it felt like I was looking at a small cute animal.
"Ha..ha..ha" The boy came to a stop in front of me and leaned down with his hands on his knees to catch his breath.
"H~hero I'm a big fan!" After a couple seconds the wolf eared boy finally managed to look up at me with adoration in his eyes.
"Thank you?" I raised an eyebrow while staring down at him with amusement until he widened his eyes.
"Oh I'm Drake!" The boy named Drake bowed his head in graceful way that made it clear he had been taught manners.
"I was ordered by grandfather to help you with whatever you need" Drake said with a beaming smile while standing up on his tippy toes.
