About half an hour later:
The OR's red light turned off with the doors opening a moment later.
That got the attention of Hiruzen and Inoichi, who were waiting outside the doors.
Shizune and a couple of nurses walked out the doors while pushing a mobile hospital bed that Naruto was unconscious and sleeping on, gone his jonin attire, he was wearing a hospital gown that hid the bandages on his body.
"Shizune," Hiruzen called, as he and Inocihi walked with them.
"Hokage-sama." Shizune greeted
"How is he?" Hiruzen asked as he looked at Naruto's slightly pale face.
"He will be fine, Hokage-sama. As soon as we removed the foreign chakra plaguing his body, his healing factor, along with the Kyuubi, took care of the rest." Shizune said
"Do you know what caused this?" Hiruzen asked, to which Shizune shook her head.
"No, Hokage-sama. Naruto-kun's clones were focused on him the entire time. And when the Kyuubi's chakra was able to heal him, they dispelled so that he could finally sleep." Shizune replied as she and the nurses pushed Naruto into a private recovery room.
"Leave him to rest, but as soon as he wakes up, send someone to inform me," Hiruzen said before looking at Naruto one last time before he and Inoichi left the room.
A few hours later, somewhere unknown;
"Where is Hidan, Kakuzu?" Pain said, looking at Kakuzu's mirage.
"Pretty sure he was blown to smithereens in that damn desert," Kakuzu said with an extremely annoyed voice.
"I take it that the mission failed." Pain inquired
"Don't state the bloody obvious." Kakuzu snapped.
"Tell us what happened." Pain said
"The brat is a nightmare to go against alone. He is very fast. His skills are top-notch. His elemental jutsu is monstrous, and he can use Shadow clones without stopping, and their coordination with him is flawless. And that exploding clones surprised me too much, making me lose my own heart. He decapitated Hidan easily, which was the only way we got to injure him in return. And the boy figured out Hidan so fast, too. Hidan was able to give the boy a fatal wound, which made me assume that this was the end of it, but no, he had to use the Kyuubi's chakra." Kakuzu ranted angrily before looking directly at Pain.
"This isn't what we agreed on. Not only did I not get anything out of this, but I lost three hearts. One to the damn brat and two to the explosion of the bijuudama. If you want the brat, go after him yourself." Kakuzu said before his mirage disappeared.
The rest of those present were silent for a moment before a hoarse chuckle was heard.
"Sensei really lucked out on his last student, huh? Now I want to meet him." Orochimaru said with amusement and a sinister smile.
"No. For the time being, we will lie low for some time. We made a lot of noise by interacting with the Kyuubi jinchuuriki. I don't want any more attention to be given to us or for the villages to have us in their sights this early. When the time comes, I will go after the Kyuubi jinchuuriki myself." Pain said before his mirage disappeared, followed by the others.
Somewhere in the land of Water;
"See if you can find anything at the battle site. And have your clones at Konoha double their efforts." 'Madara' said to the two-colored Zetsu, who nodded before disappearing into the ground.
"Where did Konoha get that brat from?" 'Madara' muttered darkly and angrily. Until now, he still has no idea where Naruto came from.
The next day, early in the morning;
Tsunade is confused right now. She walked out of her home just before sunrise as she wanted to go to the hospital and finish her work early, same as yesterday. While Shinobi wakes up around this time, there shouldn't be this amount of movement that she is seeing right now.
This looked like a mobilization, but that can't be. She didn't get any news or summons from Hiruzen. Did something happen yesterday?
Tsunade shrugged as she made her way to the hospital, noting to herself to go to Hiruzen a few hours later to inquire about what was going on.
In Konoha's hospital near the reception;
"Haaaaaah, I can't wait to go home and sleep." A nurse said as she sighed tiredly
"Yeah, last night was hectic." Another said
"When are the nurses of the morning shift coming?" the first nurse said, looking around for a clock.
"In about an hour. It still isn't six in the morning yet." The second nurse said, looking at the clock behind the first nurse.
"Ahhhhhhh, why is time going so slowly?" the first nurse complained.
"Well, not as slow when we were working on Naruto-sama. I never thought I would see him injured," The second nurse said
"You don't say. Those injuries were horrific. But still not the worst I have ever seen." The first nurse said
"But have you seen any shinobi stay awake while his own clones work on him?"
"Emi."
"I mean for kami's sake, Naruto-sama had a hole through his body..."
"EMI," the first nurse shouted
"What? Why are you interrupting..." The second nurse felt her breath leave her, though seeing who was standing near her and her colleague
"What is th..this?" Tsunade choked a little, "What is this about Naruto ha….having a h..hole in his body."
Tsunade's eyes looked unfocused as her emotions went haywire while she watched the two nurses, having overheard the last part of their conversation.
A couple of minutes later, in Naruto's private recovery room;
The door opened ever so slowly as if the one opening it didn't want to see what was inside.
Tsunade choked back a cry that wanted to escape her as his eyes fell on the still form of her son, sleeping in his hospital gown with monitoring machines and solutions attached to him on the hospital bed.
She walked slowly to his side, falling to her knees as she looked at his sleeping face, and her tears started to flow freely from her eyes while she looked all over his body to see if everything was all right.
For a few minutes, she made sure he was well before standing up and walking to the foot of the bed, where a clipboard with all the information was.
Her body shook as she read the descriptions of the injuries that her son sustained and the details about his surgery.
Her sad, stricken eyes turned blazing with fury as she returned the clipboard to its place before walking out of the room and closing the door quietly before walking away quickly from the recovery ward.
"SHIZUNE," a fury-filled scream was heard through the hospital, startling the staff and making the name holder feel a chill climb up her spine.
