About a quarter of an hour later;
"Pl..Please, stop. I told you. I know nothing of what you ask." The Kiri Shinobi begged desperately as he couldn't take the torment anymore.
Ryuu sighed mentally as he looked at the Kiri Shinobi who was being interrogated by his clones. This Kiri Shinobi was very easy to break. The clones had to beat him up for a bit before going for his bones. By the second bone, he started to deny knowing anything. And Ryuu believed him as his senses told him that his prisoner was telling the truth.
"Prime, what do we do with him?" One of the clones asked.
"Finish him off. He is useless. Don't make it messy." Ryuu replied, making one of the clones walk behind the Kiri shinobi
"What? No, no. Please, I don't want to die. Taicho, TAICH….."
CRAAACK
The Kiri shinobi head dropped loosely as his neck got snapped by the clone.
Ryuu then looked at the Jonin and asked: "So, are you going to answer?"
"You wouldn't get away with this." The jonin said with gritted teeth as he looked at Ryuu with hatred.
"But I already did. Nobody knows you are still alive. To Kiri, all of you, you, your Comrades, and Pakura have died. So, you can wait as long as you want, shout as much as you want, but no one will come to your rescue." Ryuu said with a blank tone as the dark eyes of his mask looked into his prisoner's eyes.
"So let me give it to you straight. You can either give me what I want, and I will give you a quick and painless death like you subordinate here. Or I can make your last hours as hellish as possible." Ryuu said
"The easy way for you and me or the hard way. The choice is yours." Ryuu said
The Jonin stayed quiet for a moment. What Ryuu had told him made him worried. He doesn't know where he is held. Is he still in the land of water or somewhere else? Does the village really think he is dead? Even with all these questions unanswered and the extreme uncertainty of his situation, His pride and the Young voice of his captor made him double down on not saying anything. If Ryuu interrogated him the same way as his Subordinate, he is sure he can hold on as long as possible. So he didn't reply and kept silent.
"Hard way it is," Ryuu said with a blank, ominous tone as his clones approached the jonin.
A couple of hours later;
Ryuu sat silently, thinking, as his clones sealed the bodies of his two dead prisoners.
The Jonin was tough to get any information from. But Ryuu is a very talented doctor and medic who knows the secrets of the human body. He knew where it hurts the most on the human body. The Jonin was able to endure for a couple of hours before he broke down and told Ryuu all he wanted.
It seemed that the whole treaty thing was a cover-up. The whole thing was orchestrated so that Pakura would reach and be ambushed and killed. There was no treaty. Rasa has sold Pakura to Kiri in exchange for a no-aggression pact between Suna and Kiri.
Ryuu sighed as he shook his head. Only an idiot would kill off one of his village's few S-rank Ninjas.
But as Ryuu thought deeply about it, He could see the cause.
A while ago, Iwa caused problems for Suna on the Land of Wind border. Pakura was sent on a mission to deal with Iwa's intrusion and had done the mission successfully to the point that she was hailed as the Hero of Suna. That of course, caused problems for Rasa as a lot of Suna's people and Shinobi were dissatisfied with him, especially with how the Third Shinobi war ended.
Fearing instability for his position, Rasa orchestrated the whole treaty thing so he could get rid of Pakura.
And why would Pakura refuse such a mission? If she secured a treaty with Kiri, she would increase her popularity in Suna. So, she took the mission without looking deeply into it, not knowing it was a trap to kill her.
Ryuu stood up and walked towards where Pakura lay asleep. The Other two clones healed her enough so she would be out of danger.
"I will deal with you as soon as you wake up," Ryuu muttered as he looked at the unconscious Pakura, then at the Saline and nutrient solution connected to her arm.
Ryuu then turned to his clones and said, "Three of you keep watch while one watches over Pakura. I am going to rest as I haven't slept in days. If she wakes up, inform me."
The clones nodded and spread out as Ryuu lay on the ground in a dark corner of the hideout.
Early in the morning the next day;
Pakura's eyes slowly opened as she let out a low groan. After blinking a couple of times, her eyes looked at her dark surroundings with doubt and disbelief. She can feel that she is still alive, but she is very confused about how she is alive. Then panic started to take hold in her heart. She couldn't move her body or feel her Chakra. She dreaded the thought that Kiri may have gotten their hands on her and kept her alive. That would be a fate worse than death.
Pakura then spotted movement in the dark to her right. The figure approached her and glanced at her for a moment before stepping away and opening a door that she couldn't see, as she couldn't look downwards beyond her nose. As the door opened, light entered the room she was in, allowing her to see the wooden walls and the two solutions connected to her body.
"Prime, she is awake." Pakura heard before she could see more light enter the room. The light seemed to be flickering, which meant it was from a candle.
"So, you are awake." Pakura heard as a masked individual entered her vision.
Pakura's eyes narrowed at the sight of the mask. An Animal mask, a dragon mask. Only one village has these masks as a part of their Anbu uniform. Konoha.
What is she doing in the captivity of a Konoha Anbu? Better yet, how did she fall into his hands?
Pakura opened her mouth to speak, but only a hoarse noise came out before she started to cough. She felt as if her throat were a part of Suna's desert.
"Here," Pakura felt a hand lift her head slightly and a flask put near her dry lips.
She looked at the Konoha Anbu with narrow eyes and kept her mouth closed. Even though she is very thirsty, what kind of Shinobi drinks water presented by a foreign shinobi
"I saved you and treated your wounds. I didn't go through all of that just to poison you through water. If I wanted you dead, I would have just let you bleed out. Drink, we need to talk." The Anbu said to which she reluctantly agreed after a moment of hesitation.
After she had her fill, the Anbu laid her head back and waited for her to speak.
"Why can't I move?" She asked as she feared that she had sustained an injury to the top of her spine, as she could only move her eyes and mouth, and nothing else.
"I sealed your Chakra and mobility. You are an S-rank Kunoichi after all. I can't take any chances." The Anbu replied, making Pakura quiet for a moment. A small part of her was happy that she wasn't paralyzed from the neck down.
"Why save me?" She asked after staying silent for a bit. Why would a Konoha Anbu even bother with her?
"I didn't intend to save you. I was sent here to see what type of treaty Suna was trying to make with Kiri and if it had any negative effects on us. And during that, I witness your attempt to flee Kiri. Let's just say that I was able to take two prisoners for questioning along with your dying body," the Anbu replied, making Pakura's face darken
"I am sure you are aware of your situation. To the outside world, Pakura of the Scorch release is dead. But you are pretty much alive. Let's say that I let you go, the moment you are sighted, you will be branded as a deserter by Suna after what your Kazekage had done. So, you can't return to Suna, and I won't set you free, as Konoha doesn't need a rogue ninja of your caliber to be out there." The Anbu said as Pakura listened silently with a bitter look on her face.
"So as of right now, you are a prisoner of mine, and I will take you to Konoha. You have until then to think of something that you can say to the Hokage to save your skin." The Anbu said as he stood up and was about to leave.
"What if I decided to join Konoha? Wouldn't that be a problem? Konoha is allied to Suna after all." Pakura asked.
"In the case that the Hokage allowed you to join our ranks. You would be under strict supervision for some time before you are tasked with something that wouldn't expose you to the outside world. Anbu most likely." Ryuu said as Pakura agreed mentally.
That would be the best outcome for her current situation. She doesn't want to be a rogue ninja, as that would stain everything she had worked for. Not like it mattered now, she can't return to Suna anymore. She also can't escape this Anbu operative even if she wanted to. She can't move anything in her body, let alone access her Chakra. Her best choice is to let herself be taken to Konoha and hope for the best. She hopes everything goes fine and she can keep her life. She knows very well what could happen to her if she wasn't allowed to join Konoha's ranks. Best case scenario, she would escape somehow, but that was very unlikely, if not impossible. She shuddered at what would happen otherwise. The grim reality of captured Bloodline users. Experimentation or a baby making.
She hoped with all her heart that it would come to any of those two. She would hope for the merciful release of death instead.
To be continued.
Guys and Gals, show me those powerstones.
