Near the cave's Main entrance;
Naruto and Anko appeared near what is left of the intruding genin team. They were missing one teammate, with one slightly injured and coughing, and the last looking fine.
As soon as Naruto and Anko arrived, the intruding team turned towards them.
"Iwa genin, huh?" Naruto said simply as he saw the Iwa symbol on the two genin's headband
"That trap was your doing isn't it you damn tree huggers. You couldn't face us, so you resorted to dirty traps. I thought Konoha had more honor than that." The uninjured Iwa Genin said angrily.
Naruto looked at him as if he were stupid, and while Anko snorted, she said in a mocking tone: "We are Shinobi. If you are looking for honor and fair fights, you should have joined the Samurai in the land of Iron."
That seemed to increase the anger of the two Iwa genin as they pulled out their Kunai and dashed towards Naruto and Anko.
Using their own Kunai, Naruto and Anko fell into an armed Taijutsu showdown. The uninjured Iwa genin took on Naruto, while the slightly injured one took on Anko. The two Iwa genin seem to want to separate the Konoha team from each other, which, for some reason, Naruto had no problem with, as he allowed himself to be pushed away with the Iwa genin right after him.
In a slightly flat area, a bit of a distance away from the cave, full of grass and surrounded by trees, Naruto appeared on one side, and the Iwa genin appeared on the other.
As soon as the Iwa genin set foot on the ground, he started doing some hand seals.
'Earth release, flying stones jutsu.' The Iwa genin's hands slammed to the ground, making stones and pieces of the ground fly towards Naruto's position.
Naruto gave the incoming debris a blank look before disappearing in a body flicker and appearing next to the Iwa genin.
The Iwa genin got startled a bit before reengaging Naruto with Hands, feet, and Kunai.
In a couple of moments, frustration and a bit of worry began to surface on the Iwa genin. Throughout the fight, he received cuts all over his body, with aching bones and muscles from the hits and kicks received from Naruto.
What infuriated him was that he couldn't even touch a hair of his Konoha opponent. He is the only one receiving the heavy attacks and the Kunai slashes. He needed to do something.
The Iwa genin disengaged from Naruto by jumping back, creating a distance between them. He then started another set of Hand seals.
'Earth release, rock armor jutsu.' The ground underneath the Iwa genin moved as if alive and started moving up the genin's body till it formed an armor made out of rock that covered his whole body, but his head, giving him more height, weight, and protection. After the armor fully formed, the genin looked at Naruto with a smirk and hurried towards him.
Naruto looked at the approaching genin with a bit of disappointment. The Iwa genin just sacrificed his agility and movement for protection.
To Naruto, the Iwa genin's movement is very slow and sluggish as he reaches Naruto and throws a punch.
"Wrong choice of jutsu." Naruto said as he weaved gracefully, dodging the punches and wild hooks.
"Shut your mouth, filthy tree hugger. I will show you how strong we Iwa shinobi are compared to you." The Iwa genin said proudly as he raised his two fists, intending to smash Naruto's head.
Naruto saw the attack coming a mile away, so he simply jumped back and let the attack hit the ground, making it shake slightly as it is filled with cracks and threw dust up in the air.
"You need to move faster than that, Iwa nin." Naruto said before disappearing in a burst of speed as the Iwa genin stood upright, revealing a hole in the ground where his fists struck.
"Speed is life." Naruto said as he appeared on the left side of his opponent, making the Iwa genin's eyes widen.
The Iwa genin didn't see Naruto when he moved, he only knew that Naruto was beside him, when Naruto spoke. He turned his head towards Naruto, only to find him throwing a punch towards the left side of his abdomen. For a second, he felt relief as he had complete confidence that his rock armor would take the hit. But that confidence evaporated and was replaced with extreme pain as his rock armor shattered under Naruto's fist impact before it sank into the genin's side and organs.
The impact was so strong that the genin was sent flying before crashing to the ground multiple times. Each time he hit the ground, a chunk of his rock armor broke off.
He soon came to a stop against a large rock. His breath is severed as he tries to take in air but can't. what was left of his rock armour peeled off his body onto the ground.
He soon could take a breath in, but that shot a wave of intense pain through his body. The genin rested his back against the large rock as he wheezed while talking in short breaths. His body hurts badly all over. His attire is almost destroyed, with most of his belongings scattered along his flight path. The nearest thing to him was a Kunai that he tried to reach out to, but his body refused to move.
His body shuddered in fright when he heard the sounds of footsteps approaching him. He watched with no small amount of fear as Naruto walked towards him. The Genin desperately tried to reach for the Kunai, but his body refused to move.
Naruto saw what he was trying to do and walked towards the Kunai before kicking it lightly. The Kunai tumbled a bit before stopping right beside the genin's hand.
"Pick it up." Naruto said, but the genin didn't move only looked at Naruto with terror.
"Pick. It. Up." Naruto said with slight emphasis on every word.But the genin couldn't move any muscles to respond or do anything.
"Where did all that bravado from earlier go? Didn't you want to show me your Village's power?" Naruto said with a head tilt. He only got blood-filled coughs as a reply. He could see a steady stream of blood start leaking from the genin's mouth.
The Iwa genin felt his body going cold as he looked at Naruto, overwhelmed by different emotions: fear, despair, regret, and hatred. His body felt as if it were shutting down, and he could do nothing about it.
Naruto stood there watching the Iwa genin as his skin got paler and paler with his breaths going quieter and quieter, before his head leaned forward and he breathed his last breath as blood dripped from his mouth onto the ground between his legs.
Naruto stood there for a second before his eyes changed to the Sharingan under his lenses. He looked the recently deceased genin and cringed slightly at what he saw.
The Sharigan can look through clothes, skin, and some obstacles, it can also help in looking at far objects. Just not as good as a Byakugan in that regard. For anything else, the Sharingan is objectively superior.
Looking at the body in front of him. Naruto spotted various injuries throughout the genin's body. But what stood out is major red and purple bruising on the left side of the chest and the whole abdomen area.
Under the skin, the left side of the ribcage is broken in several places. Most of the broken rib bones have punctured the left lung, deflating it and filling its cavity with fluids and blood. But the most damage was done is the abdomen area as the punch was directed there. The organs there are almost, if not completely, destroyed. Almost no blood or chakra vessels are intact. The damage also reached the spinal column. Damaging the bones and the nerves.
Naruto deactivated his eyes and sighed. His opponent is confirmed dead from blunt force trauma, shock, severe internal bleeding, suffocation, and multiple rapid organ failures.
'My strength continues to surprise me.' Naruto thought to himself
'That is to be expected, Kit, you are a different breed of shinobi compared to the others. I have never seen a boy or girl your age with power nearing yours.' Kurumi said from within him.
'It is just my first time examining what my punches do.' Naruto replied
'I know that you barely use half your punching power. But your fists have fallen on weak opponents till now. You will soon find it different when you fight strong opponents.' Kurumi said
'We will see about that. Got to go, Kura. Talk to you later.' Naruto said
"Are you going to stay there, Anko?" Naruto said out loud, cutting his conversation with Kurumi
Anko came through some bushes and walked to Naruto's side.
"Sheeesh. I never want to be on your bad side." Anko said, looking at the unfortunate Iwa Genin.
"What happened to the other genin?" Naruto asked
"He was done before I had my fill of fighting him. And about that." Anko said before turning toward Naruto.
"What the hell was that paper bomb you put on the cave entrance? The genin I fought was affected by something from it. As he fell, paralyzed shortly after you left. I finished him quickly before returning to the cave to look for their third teammate. I found him dead near the destroyed cave entrance. His body was shredded, with metal pieces all over his body and around him. Tell me what was that?" Anko asked intrigued
"Let's talk while on our way to the peak. We should reach there before afternoon." Naruto said before disappearing into the trees with Anko right behind him.
"The paper you saw was a modified paper bomb." Naruto said as he moved fast through the trees.
"It is quite complex as it is a stronger paper bomb combined with a storage seal. The moment a person moves near it, it releases what is inside the storage seal, a split second before the paper bomb goes off." Naruto explained
"The one I put in the cave was filled with metal scraps, nails, and damaged Kunai. They were also laced with a paralyzing poison." Naruto said
"So, upon the triggering of that trap, the storage seal is opened, releasing its content before being scattered with great speeds due to the explosion that follows." Naruto finished explaining
"You are saying that if the explosion doesn't get them, they are met with a wall of flying sharp metal objects. And if that fails, they would get poisoned if at least one nicked them." Anko inquired
"Yeah, that sums it." Naruto replied
"That is definitely my kind of deadly. Can you give me some?" Anko asked with expectation and excitement
"I will think about it, there are some things I need to improve in it. When I am done, we can talk about giving you some." Naruto said with a small smile.
After that, the journey continued smoothly as they approached the midpoint of the second phase. The outpost at the peak of Mount Taka.
