"I'm finally back... I almost got myself trapped in Negative Zone. When I used the Cosmic Control Rod, I didn't use my brain; I mended all those spatial rifts without ever thinking about how I was supposed to get back."
In the Main Universe, Shin stepped back out through a massive rift.
Fortunately, a certain connection had already been established between Negative Zone and the Main Universe, allowing Shin to shatter the space over there and form a spatial tunnel to cross over. Otherwise, he would have been drifting there forever! Unless he continued traveling through worlds, he would have had to stay there for a lifetime.
The space there was absolute nothingness; the last of the matter had already been absorbed by Shin into his Dark Dimension. It was to the extent that one could search the entire universe and not find a single grain of soil.
The place where he appeared happened to be the location where the Main Universe connected to Negative Zone; after all, the space here had been broken before, making it the easiest to tear open.
Because the space-time tunnel had suddenly vanished, there were still many Zerg here scouting around.
Although Shin was small in stature, the energy index on his body was terrifyingly high. This naturally alerted these Zerg, and a large group of Zerg warships and massive insects aggressively charged toward Shin's position.
With a cold sneer, Shin opened his mouth and gently blew a breath. The entire void seemed to be filled with a storm, and ripples even appeared in space. Everything blocking Shin—whether they were cosmic warships or Zerg creatures—instantly turned into dust.
With a single breath, enemies within nearly half a light-year were annihilated, and at least several hundred million Zerg died. Shin felt a bit proud of his current strength, though he soon felt a bit of regret.
"What a waste, what a waste. I should have absorbed all of these guys and converted them into Chakra."
Now, after absorbing the God Tree—or rather, the World Tree—which had evolved to its limit and become spatialized, Shin's Dark Dimension was fully capable of converting living beings drawn into it into Chakra. Although they weren't chakra fruits but rather Chakra Pills, there wasn't much difference anyway.
The accumulation of Chakra is endless. Although the Chakra provided by several hundred million Zerg was less than a drop in the bucket for Shin, he still felt like he had lost out.
Besides, while the Chakra converted from these Zerg was meaningless to Shin, it could have been given to the Scarlet Witch to eat. If all else failed, it could have been used to power up his subordinates.
During the rest of his journey, Shin directly activated the power of the Dark-Dark Fruit to its maximum. Ignoring everything else, he jumped through space-time toward the areas with the highest concentrations of Zerg.
He absorbed an uncountable number of Zerg into his Dark Dimension in one go, until many large Zerg gathering points seemed to have received the news and began to scatter. Since the gains had become too small, Shin finally stopped the slaughter.
Shin absorbed the vast majority of the Chakra himself, while the remaining Chakra was fashioned into Chakra Pills, which he intended to give to the Scarlet Witch and his subordinates.
By the time he returned to Earth, he had several hundred Chakra Pills in his hand. Each Chakra Pill was condensed from the life force of roughly a billion Zerg, and their effects were not inferior to a chakra fruit in the slightest.
By now, the war was nearly over. The Zerg had suffered several major blows in succession: first, the Zerg Emperor died; then, their home base in Negative Zone was completely wiped out; and finally, they were subjected to a frantic slaughter by the empowered Shin. Their strength was greatly diminished. Even if they united, they could probably only rival a single galactic empire.
However, the Zerg possessed tenacious vitality, evolved rapidly, and had a powerful reproductive rate. Even if they were scattered, there was no hope of completely exterminating them in the short term.
Nevertheless, for the Three Major Galactic Empires, suppressing these scattered Zerg to a certain number was an easy task.
Thus, the Zerg had transformed from a crushing natural disaster into a major concern, and then from a major concern into a minor nuisance. The so-called multinational coalition had also completely disbanded.
Everyone basically went back to their own homes. Earth's Superheroes also returned by way of Asgard.
In contrast, Shin was arguably the last person to return among everyone.
Upon his return, Shin handed all the Chakra Pills in his possession to the Scarlet Witch, told her about their effects, and let her distribute them herself.
Given the Scarlet Witch's constitution, she could only eat these Chakra Pills one by one. Shin estimated that after eating about a hundred of them, the Scarlet Witch would be able to directly challenge Chthon outside of his home field.
Whether she would win or not was another matter, but there was basically no hope for Chthon to seize her body anymore. Chakra strengthened things very comprehensively: Yang Release strengthened the physical body, and Yin Release strengthened the spirit. It wasn't like most enhancements in american comics, which often left behind flaws or weaknesses.
Unless the Scarlet Witch sought death by barging directly into Chthon's dimension, she could be considered very safe here on Earth.
Shin actually quite wanted to test the strength of this God of Black Magic. However, after thinking about it carefully, he didn't seem to have a way to break into that dimension. Furthermore, a Dimensional Demon God was practically immortal within their own dimension. Even if he beat Chthon down a hundred times, it would have no practical significance.
And while Shin had long since overcome all of Superman's weaknesses through repeated evolutions, no matter how one looked at it, his magic resistance couldn't possibly be as strong as his physical resistance.
At most, it was like having 100 physical resistance and 95 magic resistance. Relatively speaking, dealing with the Dimensional Demon God Chthon wasn't a guaranteed victory.
If this Chthon was a Multiverse-level entity—the kind of monster that was unique across all universes—then even the current Shin couldn't say for sure that he would win.
Therefore, after thinking it over, Shin eventually abandoned the reckless thought in his mind and didn't go to ask Doctor Strange for the path to Chthon's dimension.
On another note, Shin learned the location of the Aether from Asgard. Then, using the power of the space stone, he directly extracted the sealed Aether and gave it to Wanda, the Scarlet Witch.
Wanda's abilities were naturally a great match for the Aether—the Reality Stone. It could be said that with the Aether, Wanda had truly ascended to the strongest level on Earth and could be called a top-tier powerhouse even in the universe. If the Thanos came to Earth again, he would probably get his head beaten in.
Shin had heard from Odin that the Thanos was collecting the infinity stones. Unfortunately, Shin was already prepared to leave this place with the space stone. If Thanos wanted to collect the infinity stones, he would have to wait until he developed the ability to travel through time and space.
