It seemed that because the mysterious mask of the Sorcerer Supreme had been torn away, Doctor Strange had completely let go of himself. His previously spirited appearance, after a faint shimmer of light, reverted to his original sickly, consumptive look.
"What's going on?" Tony Stark asked with a look of surprise. "How did you end up like this? Is learning magic really that terrifying?"
Doctor Strange replied with a bitter smile, "Magic always has a price. If it weren't for the nameless ones at Kamar-Taj helping me share the cost of magic, I'd probably only be able to talk to you while lying in bed."
Tony Stark sucked his teeth. He had originally been somewhat interested in magic, but now he didn't dare to mess with that stuff at all.
Better to go develop anti-magic armor! That was his true path.
"I was originally going to invite you to help deal with those big bugs, but looking at it now, never mind!" Tony Stark looked at Doctor Strange's pale and exhausted face, which looked as if he might drop dead at any moment, and recalling the series of ailments Shin had just mentioned, he thought to himself that this Sorcerer Supreme had better just rest on Earth!
It was just strange, why did Doctor Doom seem to have no problems?
Of course, Doctor Doom wasn't entirely without problems, it was just that he was nowhere near as reckless as Strange. Although he practiced dark magic, he didn't dare to borrow power from just any Dimensional Demon God.
At the same time, with the power of science at his disposal, he didn't need to use magic for everything, and he could even utilize science to help share a portion of the price of magic.
A large part of why Doctor Doom created so many clone robots was to use them to shoulder the magical price he would otherwise have to pay, whereas Strange was just a pure mage, so naturally, he couldn't compare to Doctor Doom in this regard.
After hearing Tony Stark's words, Doctor Strange finally felt relieved; at least he didn't need to come up with excuses to stay on Earth anymore... although his reputation had completely plummeted.
Originally, he had even intended to use the excuse of protecting the Earth and resisting the Dimensional Demon Gods.
Very quickly, the group of Superheroes obtained the entry points for the spatial portals from Kamar-Taj. There were no direct portals to Asgard on Earth, but there were still some portals leading to other Nine Realms. By transiting through these, it wouldn't take long to reach Asgard.
These spatial portals were either located in remote places like the deep sea, underground, or the polar regions, or they were the type that could only connect for a very short time once a month or a year. It was precisely because of this that humanity had never discovered those places.
However, the magical arrays created by Kamar-Taj covered almost the entire Earth and were particularly sensitive to space, so these portals naturally could not escape the eyes of those mages.
After obtaining the coordinates for the spatial portals, the group of Superheroes set off immediately. With the help of various teleportation superpowers, the Superheroes preparing to head into space passed through several spatial portals in a very short time and arrived at Asgard.
"Is this Asgard?" Dr. Banner took a deep breath. "It feels like the air has become very fresh."
"Indeed, this is certainly no longer Earth. The energy content in the air far exceeds Earth's maximum value." Doctor Doom said, measuring the energy levels of Asgard.
"Someone is coming!" Professor X said with his eyes closed. "There don't seem to be many people here on Asgard."
"The stronger a race's vitality is, the weaker their reproductive ability tends to be. Asgard is roughly the size of the Australian continent, but the population is only a little over a million." Iron Man explained, looking at the information in his hand.
"However, Asgard has a guy named Heimdall, who is said to be able to see through the Nine Realms. He is roughly equivalent to our high-definition electronic satellites, so our movements cannot be hidden from the Asgardians."
Shin stroked his chin; in fact, he was quite interested in this Heimdall.
One must know that Shin's range of vision was, to date, only a thousand light-years. Compared to this Heimdall who could see through the universe, he was worlds apart. What was even more terrifying was that this Heimdall could also clearly see everyone's movements, and whenever someone called out, no matter where they were, he would directly use the bifrost to pick them up.
And this job was non-stop, day and night... Thinking about it this way, what was the difference between this Heimdall and a robot?
Standing on the bifrost forever, not eating, drinking, or sleeping, and not even having a personal life; Shin thought it was incredibly perverse.
A moment later, the group of Superheroes saw the person approaching from a distance. Walking at the very front was a man with golden hair and a small mustache. He was likely one of the Asgardian warriors.
"Asgard welcomes you, warriors from Earth. My name is Fandral." The man bowed politely to the group. "The All-Father has prepared a grand banquet, and you are all invited to attend."
"Uh... do you know this guy who looks like Robin Hood?" Tony Stark whispered to Shin, asking.
"No. I'm the same as you. In all of Asgard, I only know that guy Thor." Shin rolled his eyes and said.
"Oh, you know Thor?" A sincere smile appeared on Fandral's face, looking very much like he considered anyone who knew Thor a good friend. "I heard that Thor met several powerful mages on Earth; could it be you?"
The expression on Shin's face was a bit strange. "We do know Thor, but I am certainly no mage. Perhaps only Wanda could be considered a mage."
"Ms. Wanda? Thor did mention that there was such a beautiful lady, and a gentleman named Kevin, who helped him unleash the potential within his body." Fandral looked at the two again and said with some gratitude. "Thank you for your help. After visiting Midgard, Thor's strength has indeed grown much stronger."
"Otherwise, Asgard might have been in real danger. It was precisely because of Thor's outstanding performance this time that The Serpent's conspiracy did not succeed."
"The Serpent?" Tony Stark asked with some surprise. "Could it be Jörmungandr, the Midgard Serpent from Norse legend that encircles the world?"
"So, you have something like Ragnarök here too?"
Fandral sighed slightly: "The rising and setting of the sun is the rule of the world. Besides, that Jörmungandr is actually our former All-Father. He is also the brother of our current All-Father, Odin, named Cul."
