Kamiya, Naru, Kinjo and Elgar sat back down at the table. "Well, what's your decision? Will you hand over Miki?" asked Elgar.
Kinjo took a deep breath, then began writing something on a piece of paper. "Yes," said Kamiya.
"Good, I'm glad we could come to an agreement," said Elgar.
"However," added Kamiya. Elgar paused.
"You will sign a treaty with us. Consider this as a promise we make to each other. Also, there will be certain things we require in exchange for giving Miki to you," Kamiya explained.
"Elgar, listen carefully to what I'm saying," said Kamiya. "The city of Iori will open trade routes to us and won't charge extra taxes on our products. We also want a military alliance—we'll help each other in case of war. And we want you to supply us with the Lunaria flower, which is a remedy for all pain."
Elgar frowned. "A military alliance? That makes no sense. Iori is already the strongest military settlement in the region. What benefit could you possibly provide us?"
