Kamiya was very tense. "Kase, please... I've lost too many people, I can't add one more to that list."
Kase looked at Kamiya one last time with tearful eyes, then turned toward the ground below.
From below, Kinjo thought, "If I try to slow his fall, I'll probably die too." He wasn't as agile and strong as the others.
"Please sto—" Before Kamiya could finish his words, Kase had thrown himself off. Everyone watched his fall in tense shock, as if time had stopped.
Even though Shisen opened his eyes and lunged with all his might, he realized he would never reach Kase. His hand remained suspended in the air as Kase was already falling.
Suddenly Midra appeared. With agile movements, he jumped from the ground to the building wall, then used that force to leap toward Kase. The wooden floor of the building collapsed inward as it broke. The momentum was enough to catch Kase; when he made contact with the ground, it cracked beneath him.
