Chapter 672: Hammering Nine Kings Hall to Death
The Reincarnation Mark?
Lin Dong stared at the clear sigil on Jiang Yinyin's smooth forehead, utterly stunned.
He had never imagined that this little girl… was also a reincarnator.
He glanced at Lin Langtian and saw only calm on his brother's face, as though he had known of Jiang Yinyin's identity all along.
Drawing a breath, Lin Dong forced himself to set the shock aside.
The pressing matter was still the Great Desolate Monument.
The three of them leaped forward, landing atop the peak and turning to the figure shrouded in demonic qi.
Roar!
The shadow was in obvious agony.
His fists hammered his own chest as he knelt, eyes glassy with confusion yet filled deep down with aching attachment to this place.
The guardian.
"Hey, big guy, are you okay?" Yinyin asked anxiously, seeing his torment.
Soft light flowed from her, wrapping around him and steadily burning away the demonic taint.
Lin Dong's brows knitted at the sight.
He clenched his hand, summoning boundless lightning that crackled in his palm.
Pure, ferocious thunder power surged forth.
The lightning gathered into a bright orb and shot into the guardian's body.
Bolts sizzled through him, ripping the demonic qi from his flesh and soul.
As the miasma faded, pain and confusion drained from the guardian's gaze.
Scattered awareness slowly coalesced into something like clarity.
He bowed deeply to Lin Dong.
The latter flicked his sleeve, stopping him.
"You once erased the Nirvana Dan curse for me.
"Consider this repaid," he said quietly.
Lin Langtian's eyes swept over the ground, where thin threads of demonic qi seeped up without end.
"His corruption was far too deep to be rootless," he said.
"Relying on Yinyin to suppress it won't last.
"If we want to solve this, we have to cut out the source."
Lin Dong nodded.
His hands blurred through seals as thunderclouds roared together overhead, bolts of lightning filling the sky and locking down the entire space.
Boom!
The storm crashed down in a blazing torrent, slamming into the earth below and flooding it with cleansing thunder.
The miasma swirling through the air was torn apart in an instant.
Deep below, something finally stirred.
A dragon‑like surge of vile demonic qi erupted from the depths, smashing into the descending lightning and holding it at bay.
"So you couldn't keep hiding after all.
"Get out here!" Lin Dong snarled.
Lightning flashed in his eyes as he lifted his hand.
The clouds above writhed, pulling all the thunder into a blazing core.
When the haze cleared, a thousand‑zhang thunder sun hung in the sky.
Its buzz of terrifying power made the very realm tremble.
"Go."
Lin Dong flicked his finger.
The sun plummeted, trailing a storm of lightning that scorched the very air on its way down into the abyss.
Hmph.
A cold voice rose from the pit as waves of demonic qi congealed into a massive shield below.
The thunder sun crashed into it, and the impact ripped the chasm wider still, webs of cracks racing across the ground.
Light flared, the thunder roaring like a sea.
Cracks soon spread across the demonic disk.
With a final boom, it shattered.
A colossal demonic hand lunged from the depths, smashing through the broken sun.
Thunder still tore at its flesh, leaving it mangled and bleeding.
"So you've obtained the Thunder Ancestral Symbol as well?"
The icy surprise in the voice echoed from below as the demonic sea surged up, carrying a figure slowly from the chasm.
As the black fog peeled away, a pale, handsome face emerged, twisted with eerie malice.
His chilling laugh rolled through the ruined space.
"The previous bearer of the Devouring Ancestral Symbol died in this hall's hands.
"And now, today's bearer of both the Devouring and Thunder Symbols will also fall to me.
"It seems this hall is the bane of your line," he said.
"And you are… which of Abyssal Prison's Kings Halls?" Lin Dong asked coolly.
"Ranked ninth," the shadow answered.
"Nine Kings Hall, then.
"So you were the one who led the Demons to destroy the Great Desolate Sect," Lin Dong said.
Nine Kings Hall only smiled coldly.
"Yes.
"It was this hall that wiped them out—
"And killed the last Devouring Symbol master."
Lin Langtian clasped his hands behind his back.
"So you've nearly broken free of your seal.
"Trying to push your miasma out to signal Abyssal Prison, are you?" he asked.
Nine Kings Hall's pupils tightened, though he neither confirmed nor denied it.
"Too bad your plan failed.
"From the look of it, you're still badly hurt.
"This is a good chance," Lin Langtian said lightly, though his eyes brimmed with killing intent.
This was a two‑Tribulation Demon King.
If he could feed that power to his Eight Heavenly Demons, the gains would be immense.
"Kill this hall?
"Do you really think you have the right?" Nine Kings Hall spat.
Boom!
His killing intent flared.
He stomped once and demonic qi burst from the ground as hordes of demonic corpses crawled forth and lunged at Lin Dong in a tide of claws and teeth.
"Someone of your status shouldn't need fodder like this," Lin Dong said coldly.
A thousand‑zhang black vortex spun into being before him, swallowing the corpses whole in a storm of devouring force.
Boom!
Nine Kings Hall's hand clenched.
The devoured corpses compressed together, their blood and flesh melting into a massive black bone sword that reeked of hatred.
With a flicker, he was suddenly above Lin Dong, stabbing down at his skull with vicious precision.
Sssht!
A green figure surged between them, fist slamming into the bone blade.
Sparks flew as the space around them warped.
Lin Langtian.
"Brother Dong, keep Jiang Xue and Yinyin safe.
"I'll handle this one," he said without looking back.
Lin Dong hesitated only a moment, then nodded and moved to stand beside the two girls.
With how close Lin Langtian had come to killing Seven Kings Hall in the Northern Xuan Region, leaving Nine Kings Hall to him was the safer choice.
"Corpse Demon Thunder!"
Seeing Lin Langtian rush in, Nine Kings Hall smirked.
The sword shattered into dozens of black thunder orbs that screamed down at him.
Each bolt pulsed with filth and decay, reeking so strongly of rot that even a Samsara expert would suffer grievous harm if struck.
"Oh?
"Let me show you what real demonic thunder looks like," Lin Langtian replied calmly.
He clenched his hand, calling forth a blast of thunder that was darker and far more sinister, laced through with Ancestral Symbol power.
His arm blurred into a fist of roiling demonic lightning that smashed head‑on into the swarming corpse thunder.
Boom, boom, boom!
The pure, wicked might of his thunder devoured the fetid bolts like snow under a blazing sun, erasing them one after another.
Nine Kings Hall's face shifted.
"You… can use demonic thunder?
"And it carries the scent of the Thunder Ancestral Symbol?" he demanded.
Lin Langtian ignored him.
Black lightning crackled along his arm as Ancestral Symbol power and demonic force fused tighter and tighter, golden scales rippling into existence over his skin.
With a deafening crack, his Dragon Kun Thunder Arm roared forth, the demonic thunder blazing in its claws as he swung it straight at Nine Kings Hall.
The Demon King's expression twisted.
His hands flew through seals, and demonic light congealed over his body into a jagged suit of black armor.
"The Demon Emperor Armor…" Lin Langtian murmured.
"At least you recognize its worth.
"It was bestowed by our Emperor.
"If you surrender now, I might spare—" Nine Kings Hall began.
"Sorry.
"Already broke one set recently," Lin Langtian cut in dryly.
Before the Demon King could react, demonic lightning erupted around him, cloaking him like a thunder god of darkness.
Boom!
The Dragon Kun Thunder Arm crashed down, its force tearing space apart as it hammered into Nine Kings Hall's defenses.
Roar!
The Demon King roared, pouring power into a wall of demonic portals before him.
They shattered one after another beneath the blow.
In just a few breaths, all his protection collapsed.
The thunder dragon's fist filled his vision.
Clang!
The impact rang like clashing steel.
Cracks spider‑webbed across the Demon Emperor Armor's surface before the blow punched straight through, bursting from Nine Kings Hall's back in a spray of black blood.
Boom!
He flew backward for tens of thousands of zhang, the armor crumbling piece by piece, his screams echoing through the ruins.
When he finally crashed to the ground, he lay drenched in black blood, staring down blankly at the shattered armor still clinging to him.
Once, the previous Devouring Symbol master, Old Man Black Eyes, had thrown everything he had at this same armor without leaving a mark.
And now, Lin Langtian had broken it with a single punch.
The Emperor's most prized gift, crushed.
"How… is this possible?"
Nine Kings Hall muttered, disbelief twisting into savage hatred.
He tried to move, and agony detonated in his core as bolts of demonic thunder burst from within him.
Boom, boom, boom!
Explosions rippled through his body, each blast draining more of his strength and color.
By the final thunderclap, his form could not endure.
His flesh blew apart into a storm of gore that splattered across the ground, staining it black.
The blood began to seep into the earth, a faint strand of demonic light slithering downward in its wake.
"I told you.
"Today, you die," Lin Langtian said coldly.
He swept his hand and a dome of black lightning crashed down, trapping the fleeing wisp.
Sizzle.
White steam rose as tortured shrieks echoed within the thunder.
When the light faded, a palm‑sized demonic shadow hung in the air, face twisted in terror and stripped of all its former arrogance.
It was unmistakably Nine Kings Hall—
Reduced now to a trembling remnant.
