Chapter 667: Might of the Demonic Thunder
Demonic qi surged as Seven Kings Hall strode through the air. He glanced at Lin Dong standing in his way and at the heavily wounded Five Kings beside him, a cold light flickering in his eyes.
"Impressive strength. To think you're not much weaker than Lin Langtian."
Killing intent thickened in his gaze.
Somehow, Lin Langtian and Lin Dong both possessed the exact same three Ancestral Symbols, and both had monstrous talent and power.
Now was the perfect chance to eliminate them together and erase two of Abyssal Prison's greatest threats.
"If you want to kill Brother Langtian, you'll have to pass through me first," Lin Dong said, his expression grave as his hands flew through a series of seals.
Eight thousand purple‑gold dragon patterns coiled around him, and ancient dragon roars shook the skies.
"Hmph. Courting death.
"Even Lin Langtian couldn't last a single exchange. How long do you think you can hold out?" Seven Kings Hall sneered from within the Demon Emperor Armor.
Bang!
Lin Dong launched himself forward, his fists swelling into enormous purple‑gold dragon claws that crashed down toward him.
Seven Kings Hall's eyes remained mocking.
He didn't move an inch.
Clang, clang!
Crisp metallic echoes rang out as the blow landed.
The Demon Emperor Armor didn't even show a mark.
Lin Dong's pupils tightened at its resilience, but he did not falter.
His sleeve flicked out.
A ray of light shot forward, expanding into a massive stone stele laden with ancient, desolate power.
"The Great Desolate Stele?" Seven Kings Hall murmured, then shook his head.
"So that treasure is in your hands as well.
"Unfortunately, it has yet to recover its peak.
"Otherwise, this might have been troublesome."
Buzz.
The stele rumbled as it fell, radiance pouring from its base as ancient patterns lit up beneath it.
Lin Dong did not stop there.
A multicolored arc flared from his fingertip.
The Mysterious Heavenly Palace appeared, its frame shimmering as countless divine artifacts flowed from within in a roaring torrent that swept down toward Seven Kings Hall.
"Mysterious Heavenly Palace, too?"
Seven Kings Hall blinked again.
Two of the top ten divine artifacts in the Ancient God Artifact Ranking, both in Lin Dong's hands.
Yet he only smiled.
"You're full of tricks…
"But like Lin Langtian, it's all useless."
Raising his hand, he braced the falling stele with brute strength and kicked out.
The divine torrent shattered, countless artifacts crumbling to dust under his might.
Bang, bang!
Laughing, he hammered the Great Desolate Stele with mountain‑heavy fists, forcing it back step by step while his armor withstood everything the Mysterious Heavenly Palace could unleash.
Wrapped in Demon Emperor Armor, he was untouchable.
Neither Lin Langtian nor Lin Dong could truly threaten him.
"You've played enough."
His smile faded.
He stepped once—
And appeared before Lin Dong like a ghost, his demonic palm tearing through the air toward him.
Roar!
Eight thousand purple‑gold dragon patterns exploded into a colossal dragon that hurled itself at the blow.
The instant they met, its radiance shattered and the dragon was torn to pieces.
Lin Dong rode the impact backward, but the rolling shockwave still forced a muffled groan from his throat.
The armored Demon King's power was terrifying.
No wonder even Brother Langtian had been overwhelmed.
Seven Kings Hall's killing intent burned brighter.
He flashed forward again, fists swinging as demonic tides surged around him.
Bang, bang, bang!
They collided in mid‑air once more.
But just as Lin Langtian had before him, Lin Dong was driven further and further onto the defensive.
Boom!
Another brutal clash left his throat tasting sweet.
He spat a mouthful of blood, yet his eyes only grew fiercer.
"Not bad.
"Give you two some more time and even I might struggle to deal with you.
"But I won't be giving you that time," Seven Kings Hall said, shaking his head.
Killing intent surged within him.
To erase two threats of this caliber in advance was no less valuable to Abyssal Prison than gravely wounding one of the Eight Ancient Masters.
"Hehe. Seven Kings Hall, you won't be getting what you want today," a light laugh drifted up from the forest below.
A sharp sword light shot into the sky.
Though powerful, it was far from enough to truly harm him.
Seven Kings Hall only smiled and crushed it between his fingers.
"This level of power—"
His mocking words died in his throat.
A figure in green appeared before him without warning, Firefeather Phoenix Sword in hand.
It lanced forward like a fire phoenix, so fast it was almost invisible.
"How foolish."
Strange, unsettling power suddenly flowed along the blade.
Seven Kings Hall's pupils shrank.
He moved to retreat—
But the sword abruptly accelerated, stabbing straight into the crack on his chestplate.
Sssht!
Armor that could withstand the full power of a first‑Tribulation expert's strike sank half an inch under the sword.
Black blood trickled down its edge.
"You—!"
Agony flared in his chest, twisting his face.
He lashed out with a palm—
And the man before him met it head‑on.
To his shock, the old, familiar sight of simply overwhelming his opponent did not reappear.
A strange energy rippled across Lin Langtian's palm—
Not pure yuan power.
There was something else there, cold and sinister.
Bang!
They both crashed backward.
Anyone watching closely would have seen that Seven Kings Hall had retreated half a step farther.
For the first time—
Lin Langtian had taken the upper hand.
"Your power…"
Seven Kings Hall stared at him, his expression growing uglier by the moment.
At some point, Lin Langtian had reappeared at the front, and now an eerie, familiar aura was flowing from his body.
Familiar—because it was of the same nature as his own.
"Brother Langtian, you…"
Lin Dong rushed to his side, wiping the blood from his mouth.
He too could feel the strange force churning within his brother's body.
Lin Langtian's gaze remained calm as he watched Seven Kings Hall.
Then he turned and patted Lin Dong's shoulder with a faint smile.
"Thanks for holding him off.
"From here on, he's mine.
"As long as I'm still the Lin Clan's patriarch, no one will hurt a single clan member in front of me."
Lin Dong stared at the familiar green figure.
Somehow, in just half an hour, Brother Langtian felt different—
As though something terrifying now slumbered inside him.
"Then I'll leave him to you… Patriarch," Lin Dong said at last, his tone half‑teasing.
It was the first time he had ever addressed him that way.
Lin Langtian blinked, then smiled and turned his attention back to Seven Kings Hall.
The Demon King frowned slightly.
Something felt off—but he could not say what.
He dismissed the thought.
There was no way someone could grow that much in half an hour.
It had to be a bluff.
"Next, the two of you can die together as the 'heroic brothers' of this little play," he said coldly.
Demonic qi surged into his palm, coalescing into a terrifying sphere of power.
"Is that so?
"Don't be too quick to decide who's dying here," Lin Langtian replied lightly.
He smiled—
And his yuan power abruptly vanished.
In the next breath, a vast, suffocating demonic aura erupted from his core.
"Demonic qi?!
"That's impossible!"
Seven Kings Hall's eyes went wide, sheer disbelief etched across his face.
The power spilling from Lin Langtian's body had clearly reached the level of a Demon King.
"How can a human cultivate our kind of power?!"
The five wounded Demon Kings in the valley below were equally stunned.
Lin Langtian was clearly a native of the Xuan Domain Continent—yet the demonic energy flooding from him was scarcely weaker than their own.
"How did you do this?!" Seven Kings Hall demanded.
It was not unheard of for humans to wield demonic power.
The Abyssal Prison had nurtured groups like Yuan Gate, whose experts had abandoned their own cultivation in exchange for demonic force.
But for someone to fuse yuan power and demonic power so seamlessly—and to control the corruption without being consumed by it—was almost unheard of.
"How I did it is none of your concern.
"Once you're in hell, you won't need to know," Lin Langtian said with a faint smile.
The corner of his mouth curled further as he felt the immense might of his newly forged Yuan Demon Power.
With Lin Dong's help buying time and Aunt Ling's guidance, the Golden Spirit Wheel Mirror had fused his yuan power and demonic power into a new force altogether.
In their brief clash, even he had been shocked by its strength.
On their own, both his yuan and demonic power were only at the threshold of Samsara.
Yet combined, they let him contend head‑on with a Demon King who had crossed two Tribulations.
This was power far beyond a simple sum.
"Whatever you've done to fuse your power with ours, once I've captured you, those secrets will belong to Abyssal Prison," Seven Kings Hall said, eyes glittering.
He wanted Yuan Demon Power as badly as Lin Langtian himself.
With it, his own path might soar to new heights.
"Hehe. Then come and see if you're able."
Lin Langtian only smiled.
He flicked his finger and a thunder rune shot into the sky, vanishing into the heavens.
A few breaths later, the world darkened.
Endless demonic clouds rolled in, smothering the land for nearly a million li around them.
Thunder rumbled dully within, carrying a strange, chilling tone.
The very earth shook with every peal.
Seven Kings Hall's body tensed as an unprecedented chill crawled up his spine.
His face turned more serious than ever.
Lin Langtian watched him with placid eyes, as though looking at a dead man.
He drew in a deep breath and slowly brought his hands together.
His voice, calm and merciless, rolled through the heavens like a god of destruction pronouncing judgment.
"Heaven‑Slaying Demonic Thunder."
Boom!
Lightning exploded within the demonic clouds as a terrifying power gathered above.
In the next instant, countless bolts of pitch‑black demonic thunder plunged downward.
Each bolt carried not only devastating lightning but an endless tide of sinister, corrupting demonic qi.
A storm of demonic thunder fell upon Seven Kings Hall like the wrath of a dark heaven.
Each strike shook heaven and earth to its core.
