Chapter 665: Demon Emperor Armor
"Spatial Shift!"
As the five shadowy figures appeared, their hands flew through a series of seals. Space twisted to its limit as a formation of light flashed.
The five figures, along with Seven Kings Hall and the two brothers Lin Langtian and Lin Dong, vanished into thin air, leaving behind only trembling space to prove anything had happened.
A dense forest stretched beneath a silver moon hanging high in the sky. Soft moonlight poured down, draping the woods in a veil of pale silver.
Buzz.
The once‑calm air suddenly rippled violently. Black light flickered, and when it faded, several figures stood suspended in mid‑air.
"Hehe, this place isn't bad. Good enough to serve as your grave," Seven Kings Hall said with a smile, looking at the brothers.
The Dark City was still the Dark Hall's domain, and its Palace Master, Qing Tan, bore both the Darkness Ancestral Symbol and the fully restored Dark Saint Scythe.
Starting a fight there would have meant endless complications.
So they had shifted the brothers away, ensuring nothing would interfere with their plan.
Lin Langtian and Lin Dong regarded the terrifying line‑up before them with blank expressions.
Seven Kings Hall, whose strength had at least reached the level of passing two Samsara Tribulations, and five Demon Kings all comparable to Samsara‑stage experts—
Even for them, this was a truly dangerous formation.
"When the fight starts, leave Seven Kings Hall to me. The other five Demon Kings are yours, Brother Dong," Lin Langtian said softly.
Lin Dong frowned. "Brother Langtian, Seven Kings Hall has likely passed two Tribulations already. Facing him alone is too risky.
"Let me hold him off while you break away and get Qing Tan."
Lin Langtian shook his head. "It's precisely because he's so strong that we can't drag Qing Tan into this.
"Don't worry. He's not the only one with hidden cards."
Lin Dong glanced at him, half‑doubtful. But he knew Lin Langtian—once he made a decision, there was no budging him.
All he could do now was take down the five Demon Kings as fast as possible and then rush to help.
"Judging from what's to come, this fight will be noisy. Best make some preparations first," Seven Kings Hall remarked pleasantly.
He raised his hand.
Boom!
A tide of demonic qi erupted from the five Demon Kings, fusing into a massive barrier that sealed off the entire forest.
No wave of power would escape this prison.
Seven Kings Hall clearly had no intention of letting the brothers leave alive.
Once the barrier formed, he nodded in satisfaction and looked down at them.
"So young, yet you've cut down so many of my Abyssal Prison's elites.
"You are a true thorn in our side."
His gaze slid to Lin Dong.
"Other than Symbol Ancestor, you are the first person I've seen to control so many Ancestral Symbols.
"You might not yet have stepped into Samsara, but on our must‑kill list, your name is no lower than Lin Langtian's."
"It's just a pity that after today, your names will be erased," he finished with a gentle smile.
As his words faded, torrents of demonic qi gushed from his body, thick and oily as a sea of black sludge.
The forest below withered to dust. Even the yuan power in the air cried out as if in pain.
Swoosh!
Seven Kings Hall pointed lightly.
A beam of viscous demonic light tore through space like a bolt of liquid night, lancing straight toward Lin Langtian.
At the same time, the five Demon Kings met each other's eyes before exploding into motion, their demonic power rising like five storms.
Together, they charged at Lin Dong.
Seeing Seven Kings Hall attack, Lin Langtian's killing intent flared.
Golden thunder scales burst from his right arm, weighty and ancient, as terrifying power surged through his fist to meet the oncoming beam.
Clang!
Sparks erupted in mid‑air as space cracked. Lin Langtian was driven back dozens of zhang.
"Oh?
"What a resilient body.
"Unfortunately for you, it won't save your life," Seven Kings Hall said lightly.
His eyes slid closed as the demonic sea behind him churned, a monstrous pressure rolling outward.
He was finally done playing around.
Lin Langtian clenched his fists, his black eyes fixed on the demonic figure looming above the waves of black energy.
A ruthless light slowly surfaced in his gaze.
He had been through too many brushes with death to fear any opponent now.
This foe was terrible—but if Seven Kings Hall thought he could kill Lin Langtian so easily, he was sorely mistaken.
Rumble.
Thunderclouds boiled together overhead, and the rumble of thunder echoed through the night.
Lin Langtian's eyes became strange.
One pupil darkened into a yawning void, while the other blazed like molten lightning.
Black and silver—calm and rage fused into one.
"Heh."
Seven Kings Hall watched his transformation with mild amusement, then lifted a finger.
Boom.
The demonic sea behind him surged upward and condensed into a titanic nine‑headed demonic serpent.
Its roar shook the heavens as its magic breath blackened the sky.
The serpent lunged, its vast body tearing space apart with every thrash.
Rumble!
Thunder collapsed from the clouds like a river of molten silver, slamming down on the serpent's body in roaring torrents.
Lightning danced wildly across its scales, burning away demonic miasma in chunks—
Only for more to gush forth and corrode the thunder into nothing.
Its nine maws ripped open the air as they descended upon Lin Langtian, ripping the void into fragments.
He stared back at the charging beast, lightning blazing in his eyes.
Raising his hand, he called down a thousand‑zhang bolt of thunder, which twisted into a colossal spear of solid lightning.
At the same time, ancient golden Kun wings and dragon horns emerged on his body.
The Dragon Kun Thunder Body fully awakened.
Grasping the spear, Lin Langtian flared his Kun wings and shot forward like a streak of light—
Straight into the serpent's gaping maw.
Thunder exploded within its body.
Its roar turned to a shriek as lightning speared outward from its insides, shattering its massive frame into shards of demonic flesh and blood.
Bang!
With a deafening boom, the serpent exploded.
Lightning ripped through the air, and Lin Langtian stepped from the storm like a thunder god incarnate.
"Dragon Kun Thunder Gale!"
He tore through the storm and beat his wings.
A thunder gale thousands of zhang wide spun into existence before him, every gust filled with arcs of annihilating lightning.
In the next instant, the gale howled toward Seven Kings Hall.
"Hahaha."
Seven Kings Hall only laughed.
His demonic power surged outward in a tidal wave.
Boom, boom, boom!
The thunder gale was smashed apart before it could reach him.
His strength was simply on another level.
"Great Heaven Demon Eye!"
His hand clenched into a claw.
Darkness swallowed the world as a gigantic demonic hand descended from above, as though breaking through from another plane.
At the center of the palm, a pitch‑black eye slowly opened.
With a single blink, a burning beam of demonic light shot forth, locking onto Lin Langtian.
He raised his own hand and summoned a spinning black vortex, a devouring hole that swallowed the beam whole.
The vortex buckled as explosions shook it from within before it finally shattered with a boom.
Lin Langtian slipped through space and reappeared tens of thousands of zhang away just as the shockwave tore through the air he had occupied.
"Oh?
"Even my Great Heaven Demon Eye could not crush you.
"No wonder you killed so many of ours.
"An ordinary first‑Tribulation expert couldn't take that head‑on," Seven Kings Hall said with a smile.
Lin Langtian's eyes remained cold.
He said nothing—he simply charged again.
Roar!
Golden lightning burst forth as dragon and Kun roared together.
The sheer ferocity of his aura bent space and shattered the ground below into dust.
Scales of golden thunder rippled across his skin as he locked onto Seven Kings Hall, the air itself twisting around him.
In a flash, he was upon his foe, his fist roaring out like a falling star.
The punch carried the full might of the Dragon Kun, turning everything before it to shards.
Bang!
Seven Kings Hall did not retreat.
Thick demonic energy coiled around his fist as he struck back.
Their fists met.
For a moment, space shattered across thousands of zhang as the heavens screamed.
Bang, bang, bang!
They traded blows at blurring speed, fists colliding like thunderclaps.
Lightning and demonic qi flooded the sky as their battle turned the forest below into a wasteland in a breath.
Another devastating clash sent Lin Langtian flying, blood dripping from his torn and dimmed golden fists.
If not for the Dragon Kun Thunder Body's monstrous resilience, his flesh would already have been powder.
Even so, his blood and qi were in turmoil, his body aching from the repeated collisions.
He dug in mid‑air, stopping himself, and fixed his gaze on Seven Kings Hall.
The Demon King's fists were also bleeding black.
The cheerful expression on his face had darkened.
He had not expected to suffer even minor wounds in killing a single Lin Langtian.
"You truly are something.
"That only makes me more eager to personally end you," he said with a twisted smile.
His mouth opened wide.
The demonic sea behind him surged back down his throat in a single gulp.
Buzz…
His body shook violently.
Thick, black material seeped from his skin, slowly forming into a suit of jagged black armor that encased his entire frame.
Every line of the armor was sharp and cruel, radiating pure malice.
The moment it solidified, a horrifying power spread outward, like the arrival of some outer‑world calamity.
"Do you know what this is, Lin Langtian?" Seven Kings Hall asked, his smile dripping with killing intent.
"Demon King Armor? No… Demon Emperor Armor," Lin Langtian replied, his expression hardening.
"Oh?
"So you've heard of it," Seven Kings Hall chuckled.
"You're right.
"This is Demon Emperor Armor, personally bestowed by our Emperor.
"We only don it when facing the Eight Ancient Masters themselves.
"Today, I've chosen to use it on you.
"So even if you die here, there's no shame in it."
His grin twisted further.
"After all…
"How many can say they forced Seven Kings Hall to wear the Demon Emperor Armor?"
Lin Langtian drew a long breath, steadying himself.
He knew then that the true battle was only just beginning.
