But the moment Damon gently patted her back, all the anxious thoughts in Charlotte's heart began to fade. "You did nothing wrong," he assured her. "On the contrary, I think Miss Nara wants to tell the Elder just how well you did today."
In the end, Damon's words turned out to be completely true.
Charlotte noticed that not a single harsh word left Nara's lips while she spoke to the Elder. Instead, she kept repeating, "You won't believe this, Elder," as though the words were some kind of spell.
Her excitement was almost childlike. At times, she even looked as though she was fighting the urge to bounce on her toes. Charlotte never imagined Nara could act like this since the first time they met here, Nara looked like a strict, calm, and composed young woman.
A little while later, Nara finally ended the call with the Elder and came back toward them, her face glowing with joy.
