"Who is it?"
Jiang Xiaobai got up and put on his clothes.
"Jiang Bai, open the door, it's me."
Outside, it was the voice of the Holy Maiden's maid, Xiaohong.
"Oh, Xiaohong sister," Jiang Xiaobai quickly went to open the door, "Why are you here so late?"
"What, you're not welcoming me?" Xiaohong stood outside, smiling sweetly.
Jiang Xiaobai laughed, "Not at all, just surprised you're back so late. Xiaohong sister, please come in."
Stepping aside, Jiang Xiaobai invited Xiaohong into the room.
Without a word, Xiaohong sat directly on his bed, silently slipping one hand into Jiang Xiaobai's bedding.
Jiang Xiaobai noticed Xiaohong's subtle action and felt alarmed inside. The Holy Maiden must suspect him, and Xiaohong's late-night visit was to verify her suspicions. If Jiang Xiaobai's bedding was cold or not very warm, it indicated he had just gotten into bed.
"Xiaohong sister, have some water."
Jiang Xiaobai poured a cup of water and brought it over.
