As it was almost time to get off work, Kang Yong'an went to Chen Meijia's office again.
"Meijia, didn't you want to find something to do? There's something tonight," Kang Yong'an said with a smile.
Chen Meijia asked, "What is it?"
Kang Yong'an replied, "A client is coming, and I want you to accompany me in receiving them tonight."
Chen Meijia agreed, "Sure, when do we leave?"
Kang Yong'an said, "At seven in the evening at Meiyun Hotel. It's still early now; maybe you could go home and change your clothes?"
Kang Yong'an implied that he found Chen Meijia's attire too casual.
"Isn't this okay? If not, forget it, I'm not going," Chen Meijia's temper flared up, and she wouldn't give Kang Yong'an any face.
Kang Yong'an's attitude softened immediately, and he smiled, "Forget it, the client is an old acquaintance of our family; there's no need for such formality between us."
"Jiang Shao, I have to go home now, I need to change my clothes!"
