Over the next few days, Nick used various techniques, both magical and chemical, that he read about from the dozens of books to analyze various pieces of the wyvern's flesh and scales that he had it bite off itself. Because it was Nick's own split soul inhabiting the wyvern, it was easy to get it to self-mutilate since split souls absolutely followed the will of the soul that they were derived from.
During his examination, Nick's intuition started to kick at him regarding the jade-green wyvern.
"Since affinities are determined by the soul and the soul within the wyvern is my own split soul that has the same affinities as myself, doesn't that mean that the wyvern probably has lost its original affinities."
Nick frowned at the realization. A magic beast's affinities were largely what determined its developmental path, cultivation and even many of its talents.
"If that is the case, then this wyvern is likely crippled in terms of further development. It might have even lost many of its talents and without its original affinity, which I now suspect to be earth path, the wyvern can no longer use its magic powers."
This mean that Nick did not really have a rank 3 magic beast at his disposal. Although just using its body, Nick could bully rank 2 Magicians, he could already do that on his own. The magic beasts bare body, however, would not be able to resist strong rank 3 spells even with the passive resistance of the laws on its body, after all, the wyvern did not appear to naturally specialize in defense.
"Ha! I actually obtained a half useless rank 3 magic beast. While it looks imposing, even the weakest rank 3 magic beast would be able to defeat it as it is now. Sigh, it's good that I realized this before trying to use the wyvern in combat since it is unlikely that it will ever be able to fight like a real wyvern. It's still a useful mount, so there is that..."
Nick shook his head and decided to move on. A few days later, after using a soul path method of refining magic beast blood, the same method that he had used to obtain the blood that ultimately made him into a deep seeker dragon warlock, Nick was able to obtain a pure, jade-green blood sample that likely belonged to an ancestor of the jade-green wyvern. Nick held up the sample in a vial as he reasoned aloud:
"The jade-green wyvern's blood is red but this magic beast's blood is deep green. My soul path method uses magic to strip away degenerative fragments on DNA to produce its essence or essential core. I am assuming that means that my method also produces the blood of a purer, more primal magic beast."
Nick has been thinking of ways to use the information within magic beast DNA to help him increase his attainment level. He has conjectured that attainment level and other magic related information is passed down in DNA which led him to use the same method that helped him into becoming a warlock to generate a sample of blood of an unknown magic beast.
"I don't know anything about blood path so it is difficult to make direct use of this blood but I can make use of my other attainments to try and mimic the effects of blood path although it is difficult."
Nick decided that he would need to think how a particular kind of Magician would think in order to solve his problem.
"Let's start with space path since that is the path with the most utility. Hmmm...could I try to use the magical information in the blood to set coordinates for the space that the magic beast lived in. If nothing else, that would prove that it is possible to derive information from magic beast blood samples. There is a problem though...spatial coordinates leading to a place where a magic beast that has this kind of blood would take me away from Grand Earth to who knows where. Although during my past few months of cultivation, I made great strides in teleportation magic, if I ended up in a realm filled with powerful magic beasts or an extremely adverse environment, I could die without a corpse."
Teleportation magic was complex and when it involved inter-realm travel, it was even more so. Organizations could claim exclusive access rights to a realm if they had its spatial coordinates and no one else did. This was possible because spatial coordinates were so complex that there could be billions of variations of one correct spatial coordinate that does not represent a space in any realm. Each coordinate was unique and did not follow an exact format and could be represented by many different mystical languages.
"To create a teleportation formation, the laws representing the spatial coordinates have to be included in its design. Creating coordinates for this underground parking lot was easy enough when I laid a teleportation formation here but to use the blood like I intend to, I would have to derive coordinates from the blood's DNA. Doing that conceptually seems difficult and is something that I would have to diligently work out. Alright, I have my next goal."
Nick fed the wyvern with magic beast meat that he obtained from his walk-in-freezer located on the ground floor and then began designing a space path formation that could extract space coordinates from DNA.
"The hardest part is conceptualizing how exactly the magic reads the DNA and how it recognizes spatial coordinates. I know that even non-magical DNA has information stored in it and that is how animals even have instincts. Like animals, magic beasts develop according to their environment so much of their DNA relates to a certain realm's influence. I have to figure out a way to codify that influence into Valteese and somehow use that information to format the spatial coordinates..."
Since Nick found a direction to run toward and his space path attainment being what it is, he just needed time to make progress. One needed to at least be a space path master to create a teleportation formation and the more complex the formation's requirements, the more attainment one needed.
For example, creating a teleportation formation where the destination was a random but safe place in another location, this being without the use of a sub-formation was very possible for a space path master, albeit, still risky. Creating a teleportation formation where the destination was a specific place or had to have specific environmental or magical characteristics, without the use of main and subordinate formations was likely beyond what a space path master could do.
Nick worked on the formation day and night and only stopped to eat, shower and relieve himself; sometimes when his mind became hazy from working without sleep for weeks, he would get some sleep but otherwise, he did nothing but work on the teleportation.
During this time, Carla did contact him to give him updates on the progress of their business as Nick was still one of its shareholders and also to ask questions about magic formations so that she could more easily lay additional magic formations to produce the soul healing scrolls as their business grew. Carla did not say it, but with Nick's help, she saved hundreds of millions of pounds in labor and material costs by using Nick's magic formations.
She also probably saved even more by consulting with Nick about the further laying of magic formations as opposed to hiring a Formation Magician because Nick asked for no compensation even though he would receive no dividends from the business.
(Consider this my thanks for giving me a start, Carla.)
Like this, another year had passed before Nick was finally done designing his teleportation formation. Nick looked at the designs, which he had finalized on special canvas instead normal paper. The laws were drawn in Valteese and there were about 3,000,000 symbols arranged in complex patterns that would create the formation's effect.
At this time, Nick was wearing a pair of dark-blue jeans pants, a neatly tucked in long sleeved, red dress shirt, an opened black, leather jacket and a pair of hard, leather dress shoes. Nick had recently decided to start wearing dress shirts more rather than his usual polo shirts because he thought that red dress shirts in combination with jeans pants looked 'cool' for some reason.
Nick walked to the middle of the underground parking lot where there was a large enough space since the columns that held up the underground floor were located at its corners. Nick took another look at the design for his teleportation formation and then stored it within his space band. He then stooped down and placed his right index finger onto the ground and cast his method:
(Big Copy)
Within almost an instant, the design for Nick's teleportation formation appeared imprinted onto the floor using some kind of red pigment. Nick mobilized one of his ghost-white blades using his Blade Works formation that was still clipped to the right side of his waist. The blade appeared floating at Nick's right side with its tip facing the floor.
Nick willed and the blade was swung at an area of concrete where the red pigment used to create a part of the teleportation formation was imprinted. The sound of a piece of concrete being sliced away was heard as a chunk of it was removed from the before mentioned area. A layer of concrete had been removed but the red pigment remained and so the teleportation formation remained intact.
Nick stood to observe the entirety of the formation and he was satisfied. The teleportation formation had a square perimeter that covered fifty meters squared of space. Nick store the ghost-white blade into its adjacent space and mused:
(All that's left is the magic materials.)
Nick summoned many different varieties of magic materials and placed them at various points of the formation, the last being a vial of the jade-green blood that Nick had refined from the wyvern's blood a year ago; the latter material was placed at the teleportation formation's center.
(The teleportation formation looks ready. Big Copy saved me a lot of time; it would have been very troublesome to have redrawn the formation onto the floor. It's just an improvement of my spell, Copy, but it is rank 2 intermediate grade rather than rank 2 basic grade. The spell's effect is simply to copy laws and imprint them identically on a surface permanently until destroyed at my will. It's a handy rule path spell that I made because I was tired of having to draw complex formations multiple times.)
Nick was eager to use the formation since that was the only way he would know if it worked. Nick called Dewy and instructed:
"Hey Dewy, I'll be going on a trip for a while. Every few days, I need you to come down to the underground parking lot and throw some magic beast meat to my magic beast. Don't worry, it won't attack you but I don't want you to spend more than five minutes down here at any one time."
After giving instructions, Nick hung up the phone and called the wyvern over to him. It ran over quickly and laid at Nick's feet. The wyvern looked healthy and well fed; all the injuries that Nick had it self-inflict had long since healed. Nick said his instructions aloud:
"Behave while you're down here and if anyone tries to harm or capture you, fight them to the death."
The wyvern rubbed its cheek against Nick's left shoulder to indicate that it understood his command. Although Nick's split soul inhabited the wyvern, a rank 3 magic beast only had the base level intelligence of an adult human being but could not understand complex instructions that weren't its own instincts. The instructions that Nick gave it were sufficiently understood though.
(I can't bring the wyvern along with me because of insufficient fuel. Teleportation formations' fuel requirements were not based on their complexity or rank but based on the rank of what they had to transport; the formation I have designed is an advanced apprentice grade magic formation. If I wanted to bring the wyvern along, I would need rank 3 space path materials to fuel this formation but only licensed Magicians can legally buy those materials on Grand Earth and they aren't cheap. I don't want to rely on Carla or she might scheme against me again.)
Nick ordered the wyvern to go rest in one of the corners of the parking lot and then walked to the center of the teleportation formation. Nick breathed in deeply and internally prayed:
(Please, don't let me die at this point when I'm so close to something...)
Nick quickly spoke the teleportation formation's trigger phrase in Valteese:
"Begin."
The formation suddenly lit up with a bright, silver light which soon enveloped Nick's vision. For what seemed like a few minutes, Nick waited for the results of his yearlong effort. The silver light eventually faded and Nick appeared on a rocky plain that seemed well lit somehow despite the sky being completely dark and starless.
Nick looked all around him and saw nothing for hundreds of meters of empty space in all directions. His surroundings had nothing of note but Nick was overjoyed.
"My teleportation formation worked. That means that I was able to extract spatial coordinates from the jade-green wyverns blood which also means that I am right in thinking that magic beast DNA has magical information stored within it. The implications of this are huge for me."
After a few minutes of internal celebration, Nick decided that he might as well explore this place before he went back to Grand Earth. Nick looked at the horizon in front of him and unbeknownst to him, the light-blue spirals in his eyes picked up speed as he cast a space path method. Nick's body briefly sparked with bright-silver magic power and then his spell resolved:
(Space Rift.)
The space in front of Nick suddenly parted like a curtain where the edges warped continuously. Nick looked through it, then walked into the 'spatial gateway' to stand at the exact place on the horizon that he was looking at just a minute ago. The spatial gateway closed and vanished; Nick looked behind him for a moment before looking ahead of himself again. He mused:
(I traveled at least one kilometer forward but the area basically looks the same as where I was standing before. This rocky plain is large.)
Nick felt a headache coming on but he wasn't going to stop exploring.
(I'm not leaving without something to show for my efforts. Besides, with Space Rift, moving around is far easier that it was with Blink. Space Rift is the space path method that I had developed over a year ago to replace Blink that only allowed me to teleport a little over fifteen meters in any direction. Space Rift allows me to open a direct 'space gate' to anywhere that I can see; it even works in combination with Spatial Awareness although I am not sure how yet. I made improvements to the spell in recent months after becoming more knowledgeable about teleportation magic through working on the teleportation formation and its effect is so stable that I can say that its foundation is rock solid.)
Nick cast Space Rift again after looking at the horizon in front of him. Once the spatial gate opened, Nick stepped through it and he saw more of the same thing - a wide expanse of rocky ground and nothing in sight.
(Space Rift clearly requires minimal magic energy consumption in contrast to Blink but it is still a lot when traveling long distances and its base consumption is theoretically limitless since I could use magic to see thousands of kilometers in front of me but the spell would likely fail if I tried to get to a that place requires more magic energy than I can give.)
Nick used Space Rift three more times, each time heading towards the horizon in front of him. After the third time, he finally saw something besides ground and empty space. A few hundred meters from his right flank, a large collection of white materials that stuck out of the ground could be seen.
Nick used Space Rift to appear immediately at that the edge of that place and observed the objects that he was seeing closely.
"These are bones and there are many of them. They are very large so they definitely originate from some kind of magic beast. "
Nick proceeded to walk through the 'graveyard' and observed all the bones. Many of them were embedded into the ground but there were also bones that were completely above ground. Nick soon found the skull of the gigantic magic beast; if Nick had to loosely describe its dimensions, he would say that it was about the size of a house.
Nick walked up to the skull and rubbed his hand against the large object, internally asking himself:
(Should I miniaturize this and eat it to see what I can find out with my spell, Growth, like what I did in the undergrounds with the minor rage giant bones when I was within Never Ending Battlefield?)
Nick quickly shook his head, rejecting such a reckless idea.
(What I did then was reckless, I learnt and now it is no different. I should just collect samples of the bone to work on when I get back to Grand Earth.)
Nick did exactly that by storing pieces of bone that were not lodged into the ground. Although they were relatively large pieces, storing them within his building's underground parking lot would present no problems.
After he had collected about five pieces of what seemed like broken finger and rib bones, Nick tried to see if Eyes of the Fated was effective on these bones and after a few minutes of trying to examine the bones for laws, Nick saw none which meant that this magic beast was not of a path that Nick had an affinity for. Nick then moved away from the bones, ready to explore more of the realm.
Just then, he saw a bright, shining object appear in the sky to the north of him and fall towards the ground a long distance away. Nick became curious.
"That gives me something to chase at least."
Nick cast Space Rift four times, each time reaching for the horizon in front of him before he found something but that something also found him. A few hundred meters away from Nick stood a magic beast the size of an oil tanker that looked like a mix of a wolf and a hyena. It had dark colored fur and pure, crimson eyes.
The moment it saw Nick, it kept its focus on him as its body radiated a stifling aura that spread for hundreds of meters around it. Nick was alarmed.
(This is soul magic and this magic beast is stronger than rank 2 but I cannot tell what rank it is.)
After staring at Nick for a while, the magic beast seemed to lose interest in him and took wide steps in the other direction while retracting its aura. Nick saw this and felt relieved; he reasoned:
(Strong magic beasts have high intelligence and so only go after prey that they think will nourish them or they could have other reasons for ignoring or pursuing people and other magic beasts. Most don't only kill based on instinct alone. I know one thing for sure, I am not strong enough to take on whatever that was.)
Nick felt that the magic beast was probably far stronger than the jade-green wyvern, judging from its aura alone.
(That's enough, I don't want to be killed here from just walking around. As for what I saw fall from the sky, it's not worth sacrificing my life to find it.)
Nick quickly summoned a blue projection stone from his space band and threw it at his feet. A blue projection of a magic formation, complete with magic materials was immediately produced and upon Nick saying it's trigger phrase, the formation activated.
"Begin."
The magic formation flashed with silver light, which then enveloped Nick's vision and sometime later when the silver light faded, Nick found himself standing over his main teleportation formation for his underground parking lot. Nick quickly went to his computer to check the date and time and so realized that he had only been gone for a few days.
(It looks like the flow of time was faster in the other realm, meaning that spending hours over their cost me days of time on Grand Earth. That's not what I'm used to but I can accept it.)
Nick summoned a bag of butter bread from his space band and ate it while he mused:
(Now I know for sure that magical information can be obtained from magic beast DNA. That's actually a big discovery since I know that there is no research that has been documented about the topic. Hmmm...I tried approaching my problem from a Space Magician's perspective and that took me a year and the result was that I found out that I can use the DNA of magic beasts to find and explore other realms. The year of effort was worth it and no doubt, my space path attainment improved because of it.)
Nick finished the butter bread and after examining his teleportation formation in the middle of the parking lot, making sure to make a mental note of the coordinates of the realm that he had visited, Nick sat at his desk and thought about next steps.
(Now, it's time to approach my attainment problem from a Soul Magician's perspective. Can I somehow recreate a soul from a magical being's DNA? DNA doesn't just have information related to something's ancestors, it also has that thing's unique characteristics encoded in it. The soul is the thing that determines a magic beast's affinities and even some talents and those affect how its body develops. It would not be a stretch to argue that information related to a magic beast's soul is embedded in its DNA which means that I could possibly reconstruct a portion of its soul using its DNA.)
Nick felt a headache coming on, what he was proposing was far more complex than just suggesting that magic beast DNA could be used to derive spatial coordinates. The soul was a complex thing and was difficult to understand in its entirety. Although Nick's current conjecture would require immense effort to prove and would be difficult to theorize, his soul path scholar intuition was at work, filling his mind with possibilities in response to his earlier thoughts.
(I won't know if it is possible until I really try. I'll need to get blood samples from various magic beasts to work on...)
Nick immediately went to work on his ideas by making notes and plans. During the next period of research, he bought many blood samples derived from rank 2 magic beasts and experimented on using space path methods to obtain spatial coordinates for the realms that they came from. Nick did this to form basic principles on how magical information was encoded into DNA.
In this way, his yearlong efforts in space path helped him to form a foundation for further research. Nick obtained the spatial coordinates for many realms and it was easy to confirm their validity by creating a teleportation formation and sending inter-realm radio frequency devices to the realms which would be able to give Nick confirmation that they reached their correct destination. The latter devices could be bought from several large companies and although they were not cheap, Nick spared no expense on his cultivation
The devices worked similar to how inter-realm cellphones worked - by sending a signal along with spatial coordinates to a receiver in Nick's possession. All Nick had to do to determine whether the inter-realm radio frequency device was sent to the right place was by comparing the coordinates that were transmitted to the receiver with the coordinates that Nick obtained from the magic beasts' DNA. If the two were very similar in encoding, then it likely meant that the coordinates that Nick obtained from the DNA were correct.
Nick did this dozens of times until he began to understand how information within magic beast DNA was encoded and how he might possibly be able to encode and reconstruct other kinds of information. Nick stumbled at times during the research process but his scholar attainment in soul path and master attainments in space path and even formation path helped him overcome stumbling blocks in unexpected ways.
(This is the value of high attainment levels, of being familiar with your specialty like the back of your hand. Even if you don't know the answer to a question, you can design methods to find the answers from just keeping the right concepts and theories in mind.)
Nick worked on trying to restructure soul information from magic beast DNA for a long time, not leaving his commercial building for anything and so he became increasingly dependent on Dewy and Nate to handle his non-cultivation affairs.
Just like that, three years passed...
Nick sat on his work stool and observed his underground parking lot. The jade-green wyvern was peacefully resting in the corner and many pieces of magical and non-magical equipment laid around him. Nick's eyes were puffy and had dark rings around them resulting from his persistent lack of sleep.
"I have been working down here for three whole years. I've probably ended worlds with how hard I worked and you know what, no one is ever going to even know about it..."
Nick shook his head and rid himself of his useless thoughts because his work was not done yet. Nick turned toward his work table and dipped his right index finger tip into a bowl of blood that originated from a rank 2 magic beast. Nick then withdrew his finger from the blood and kept it raised, turning away from the work table.
Nick then cast the soul path spell that was the accumulation of three years of his efforts in research magic beast DNA:
(Manifest Soul.)
The blood on his finger tip glowed with a bright, white light before raising itself up to expand into a marble sized orb of glowing matter. Nick observed it closely and mused:
(My method clearly doesn't create a real soul but instead produces something akin to it using biological matter. The main differences are that unlike a real soul, this object can be touched without special methods and probably doesn't have any consciousness residing in it so it likely cannot be used to inhabit and control a living being like my split soul can.)
Those were all facts that Nick had derived beforehand from his theoretical work and the successful use of his spell just partly confirmed what he already knew was the case. Nick then attempted to cast his soul path spell, Read Soul, on the 'pseudo-soul' so that he could obtain the information that it had but it immediately 'popped' like a bubble and dissipated like vapor.
Nick frowned for a long time while he tried to determine why the pseudo-soul became unstable under the influence of his spell.
(...The magic beast from which this blood originates has too weak a potential for me to reconstruct its soul easily. Obviously the soul of a magic beast destined to be rank 8 would be different from a magic beast destined to be just rank 2. This was because unlike humans, magic beast development was usually closed ended and they were limited by their own lineage. The pseudo-soul that can be created from magic beasts with higher potential should be more stable when I attempt to read it.)
With that thought, Nick summoned a vial of pure, jade-green blood from his space band.
(This is the refined blood of the jade-green wyvern that represents its ancestor. No doubt that its ancestor would have had a higher potential than the jade-green wyvern itself but that is only my conjecture. I have to test it to make sure.)
Nick carefully placed a drop of the jade-green blood onto his right fingertip, then stored the vial into his space band. Nick cast his space path spell once again:
(Manifest Soul.)
The jade-green blood instantly began glowing with a bright, white light and was raised into the air to form a glowing white, marble sized orb. Nick did not waste time in admiring and moved to cast Read Soul on it. The moment that Nick's methods resolved, his vision became dark and a few moments later, light seemed to return to his eyes.
(What happened?)
Nick found himself lying on the hard ground of a large cave. The cave seemed to be made entirely out of a deep-green crystal. Nick raised his body in a panic but when he did so, he realized that his body had changed.
He was now several meters tall when he stood on four legs, he had bright-green scales all over his body, he had a long snout from which two green colored, flesh whiskers flowed towards opposing sides and looking behind him, two entirely scaled but flexible wings were hoisted and folded onto Nick's back but the wings actually grew out from his side, his now beastly body was as long as six train cars with just as big a tail attached to his rear.
Nick raised his front-right leg and clenched his hands that had five sharp, crystal like claws attached to it. Nick's panic soon subsided as he came to grips with his situation.
(This is similar to what I have experienced before because of my talents and cultivation but feels different somehow. The situation is now that I am some kind of dragon and I am residing in a huge cave made of some kind of crystal. There is nothing in this cave besides crystal wall so I might as well leave.)
The cave had a large opening that light emerged from and that was situated a few hundred meters from Nick so he assumed that the opening was its entrance. Nick walked towards the large opening with heavy and lengthy strides, reaching his target within a few minutes and walking through the opening into the light.
The moment that Nick's head exited the cave, he lost control of his entire body. The cave was apparently subterranean as Nick had to involuntarily adjust his posture to reposition himself on the flat ground that was positioned ninety degrees to the cave's entrance. Nick was confused.
(Why am I moving involuntarily? It's now like I am watch a movie from a first-person perspective.)
The area that Nick had wondered into was an arid land surrounded by massive mountains that reached up to the sky. The land was made of grey and dull-red rock and soil and emanated a thick metallic scent. The sky was orange in color and the clouds seemed like dull-grey, swirling fog. There was nothing within the area except Nick himself who simply looked up at the sky.
Soon, like a glorious angel descending from the sky, a human figure that radiated a glowing white aura descended through the swirling clouds and glared at Nick. The human figure was evidently a white male dressed in a white and gold patterned magician's robe. The man spoke in Valteese with hatred present in his tone:
"I'm sick of dealing with the abominations of this realm. Since I can only leave after I have cleansed it of you pitiful creatures, I will get rid of you next."
The dragon roared at the Magician that loomed high above it. Its roar was so powerful that the air vibrated in response to it. The Magician sneered and raised his right hand, following which an objected that seemed to be generated from the surrounding light was formed, having the shape equivalent to a medieval lance.
The dragon did not stay motionless and opened its mouth before generating a swirling torrent of magic energy within its throat; its mouth lit up like a deep-sea lamp. Magic power radiated from the dragon and bathed much of the area surrounding it in a deep-green hue. Nick, who still could not control the dragon's body, screamed internally:
(What the fuck are you doing, that glowing bastard up there is clearly not someone that you should mess with? Run!)
It was too late, however, and the Magician launched his weapon made of light toward the dragon and it descended like a magnificent, solid, white stream. The dragon also launched a deep-green, thick beam of magic power at the Magician in response. The two attacks collided and Nick's vision was then enveloped with a harsh mix of white and green light.
After a few moments, his vision went dark again and he then became filled with the light from the LED bulbs in his underground parking lot. Nick asked aloud out of sheer shock from what he had experienced:
"What the fuck was that, who was that Magician, that dragon stood no chance in a face off against that kind of magic power?"
After Nick said that, information flooded his mind and he frowned in response. He quickly noticed that his pseudo-soul had dissipated and summed it up to possible instability of the sample.
As Nick started reviewing the sudden and vast amounts of information appearing within his mind, he realized that it was all related to earth path. He asked himself.
(Since when do I know so much about earth path?)
He spent some time exploring his thoughts, then took out a large piece of canvas paper and a pen, following which Nick began to redesign one of his earlier magic formations that he had used to mine for ores within Forgotten Peril a few years ago.
After six hours, Nick put his pen aside and took a look at the complete formation in front of him. He was shocked.
"I actually managed to redesign my space path mining formation into a complete earth path magic formation. I've become an earth path master somehow."
Nick's emotions went from joy to confusion to suspicion.
"I only intended to read information from the pseudo-soul. How did I end up with a sudden increase in attainment for a path that I do not even cultivate?"
Nick thought for a long time before coming to a few conclusions:
"Clearly, the pseudo-soul is more than just a fabricated soul fragment. Based on my knowledge, you cannot gain attainment levels from reading souls. The vision that I experienced, if I can even call it that, is clearly related to my increase in earth path attainment. I already suspected that the jade-green wyvern was an earth path magic beast but I wasn't sure since I was never able to experience its earth path magic power first hand and since it cannot manifest it ever again. Assuming that the dragon in the vision is the jade-green wyvern's ancestor, maybe the earth path attainment is related to that dragon which would force me to assume that the dragon was an earth path magic beast."
Nick folded his arms and nodded his head a few times. He felt that his conclusions were close to the truth but still incomplete. Nick decisively declared:
"I need more magic beast blood samples."
Nick acted quickly by getting Dewy on the phone:
"Dewy, I need samples of blood from a few magic beasts..."
