Shu has been known for its many extraordinary people since ancient times.
During ancient Shu, there were Can Cong, Yu Fu, Du Yu, and later the Eight Immortals of Shu, including Rong Chenggong, Li Er, Zhang Daoling, Dong Zhongshu, Yan Junping, Li Babai, Fan Changsheng, and Erzhu Cave.
But this is only a small part; there are also some remarkable people from the Mystical Sect that can only be glimpsed in anecdotal and strange records.
For instance, in "Youyang Zazu," it mentions an extraordinary person from Shu named "Fei Ji Shi," who had blood-red eyes without pupils, remarkable medical skills, and was adept at using chickens for rituals, divination, and evil exorcism.
Then there's the "Grey Robed Mad Monk."
Xing HePu was famous across the Four Seas, with many disciples. When asked who could inherit his mantle, Xing HePu remained silent for a while and said, concerning the "Grey Monk" of Shu, "I am no match for him, you'd best not provoke him."
