Six months remain until the Imperial Examination, yet the tutoring classes in Chang'an are not as popular as in previous years.
In past years, during the months leading up to the Imperial Examination, teachers from various academies would secretly offer additional sessions to students. Notable calligraphy masters, painting masters, music masters in Chang'an would also offer courses, and even though their fees were very high, spots were still hard to find.
This year, however, the situation is different, with the major prep classes struggling to attract students.
The five hundred most talented students of Chang'an all joined the tutoring class of Li Nuo, the Six Subjects' Scholar; who could possibly teach better than him?
