Chapter 440 - Right in Front of the Mistress?

Chika Fujiwara was still far too naive—she completely misunderstood Ai Hayasaka's intentions.

In Chika Fujiwara's mind, doing what was best for Kaguya Shinomiya meant making Shin "reform his ways," to stop his "philandering" and properly marry Kaguya.

After all, Chika Fujiwara had little interaction with boys and no experience with romance, leaving her with a somewhat innocent, shoujo-manga-esque view of love.

She believed Kaguya Shinomiya should have a pure, two-person romance with Shin, just like in the stories she read.

But Ai Hayasaka was different. She wasn't some naive romantic like Chika Fujiwara—she had seen just how chaotic Shin's household was.

In Shin's mansion alone, there were multiple women with intimate ties to him. Hayasaka had even been on the same bed with them, resisting Shin together.

Given this, Hayasaka had no illusions about Kaguya Shinomiya "taming" Shin. The best way to protect Kaguya's interests? Have her join Shin's harem as soon as possible.

In short, Hayasaka wasn't trying to break up Shin's existing relationships—she wanted Kaguya to become part of them.

And so, as Hayasaka quietly plotted her next move, the four of them were driven to the cinema by their chauffeur.

Inside the theater, their seats were perfectly centered—the best possible viewing spot.

But Shin couldn't help but sigh. Whether it was the Shinomiya or Fujiwara family's doing, the screening was nearly empty, with only a handful of other viewers.

Aside from Shin, Hayasaka, Kaguya, and Chika Fujiwara, the only other people present were a few women in suits and sunglasses sitting in the far corners.

Anyone with eyes could tell—those were bodyguards, likely from either the Shinomiya or Fujiwara families, there to ensure no one disturbed their "date."

Hayasaka noticed immediately, exchanging a resigned glance with Shin before looking at Chika Fujiwara and Kaguya Shinomiya.

Unsurprisingly, the two were oblivious, eagerly watching the screen as they waited for the movie to start.

Truly, sheltered young ladies like them were blissfully unaware of the real world—but perhaps that was for the best. At least it preserved the "romantic" atmosphere.

As expected from Chika Fujiwara's clichéd tastes, the movie was a romance.

The leads' acting was decent, and the plot was passable, so both Chika Fujiwara and Kaguya Shinomiya were quickly engrossed.

Shin, however, was in a slightly different situation.

It wasn't that he disliked romance—he wasn't some edgy teenager who refused to watch love stories. In fact, he'd read plenty of romance manga.

But this time, Ai Hayasaka was seated to his left—and she seemed far less interested in the movie than in Shin's body.

Not long after the film began, he felt a pair of soft hands sliding along his waist.

"...What are you doing?"

Shin glanced to his right, confirming that both Kaguya and Chika Fujiwara were still absorbed in the movie, before whispering to Hayasaka.

The theater's audio was loud enough that his hushed words went unnoticed.

"You haven't come to me in days. Did you forget about your maid?"

Hayasaka's expression remained calm, but Shin could see the resentment in her eyes.

It had only been a few days since he last "visited" her, yet she was already this impatient—youth really was something.

"We're in a movie theater."

Though Hayasaka's touch was stirring his desires, Shin still had some sense of propriety.

Sure, fictional works often featured couples fooling around in theaters—but those were usually in secluded corners.

Right now, Kaguya Shinomiya and Chika Fujiwara were right beside them. Even if they were engrossed in the film, that didn't mean their eyes and ears had stopped working.

Not to mention the Shinomiya and Fujiwara bodyguards sitting in the back—all women, but still awkward to have an audience.

"Can't you do something about it?"

Hayasaka's voice was soft, her gaze expectant.

In this regard, she was just like the Stand users of the Kiryuu Group—treating Shin as if he were omnipotent.

The ability to freely awaken Stands in others did make him seem almost godlike to those accustomed to mundane lives.

Most of the Kiryuu Group's Stand users revered Shin with near-fanatic devotion, treating him as a figure of worship.

In terms of absolute trust in Shin's abilities, Hayasaka would fit right in with them.

"You really are..."

Shin sighed but couldn't deny it—Hayasaka wasn't wrong. He did have a way.

Since she was this desperate, he might as well indulge her. Under Hayasaka's expectant gaze, he summoned Black Bird Requiem.

Though Kaguya Shinomiya had the potential to develop a Stand, she remained unaware of its presence.

Then, Shin used Black Bird Requiem's ability to enforce a single outcome:

"No one will notice what happens between me and Ai Hayasaka from this point onward."

Almost instantly, he felt a portion of his ki drain away as the cost of maintaining this reality.

While negligible to Shin, the energy required this time was noticeably higher than before.

Understandable—with Kaguya Shinomiya and Chika Fujiwara sitting right there, ensuring their obliviousness demanded a steeper price.

"Alright, come here."

Once the condition was set, Shin gestured for Hayasaka to climb onto his lap.

A rare smile—one Kaguya Shinomiya had never seen—curved Hayasaka's lips as she obeyed.

"As you wish, Young Master Shin."

She rose smoothly, pressing herself against him without hesitation.
