Chapter 335 - Chapter 335: Collision

Chapter 335: Collision

The flame breath, amplified through magical fission, burst forth like a torrential storm. A dazzling blue pillar of fire shot straight into the sky, with an outer layer of terrifying blue flames and a blinding white core.

Wherever the flames touched, the air twisted under the intense heat, as if even time itself was being distorted by the extreme temperatures.

The Silver Dragon's breath, meanwhile, was a fusion of magical forces like frost, gale, and radiance, interwoven into a beam brimming with holy order and immense energy.

A flawless white breath descended from the heavens, like divine punishment delivered personally by Bahamut.

The two breaths closed in rapidly across a distance of over a kilometer, on the brink of collision.

The wasteland fell silent for a moment, as if petrified by the terrifying magical reaction.

Then, the two opposing forces finally collided, triggering a violent magical explosion. A massive mushroom cloud bloomed high in the air.

Next, blinding light tore through the smoke, instantly illuminating the entire sky. The sky became extraordinarily bright, as if a second sun had risen.

The light was so intense that people couldn't look directly at it.

"Boom—"

The deafening roar reverberated across Anzeta, causing everyone around to experience ringing in their ears and even bouts of dizziness.

As the light spread, a massive energy wave began radiating outward from the explosion's center. It surged like an invisible tidal wave, sweeping across everything at incredible speed, leaving nothing but destruction in its wake.

"Whoosh—"

The previously intact tents disintegrated instantly under the impact of the energy wave, reduced to rubble. Trees were uprooted, their branches and leaves scattered. The soil and stones on the ground were thrown into the air, forming massive tornadoes of dust and debris.

Had both armies not retreated several miles away, they would have been annihilated, possibly suffering complete destruction.

A dozen or so players, unbothered by the unfolding chaos, were consumed by the aftermath.

"Help—"

"Oh gods, is this divine punishment?"

"Get down! Everyone get down! Don't go near it under any circumstances!"

Yet, even so, many were blown over or sent flying by the wave. Those still standing struggled to maintain their footing, clinging desperately to anything nearby to stabilize themselves.

Leo Bosk, shielded by his guards, crouched behind a small dirt mound in an undignified posture, staring up at the magical calamity unfolding in the sky.

"Look, they can easily destroy everything you hold dear."

The deep voice resounded again.

Hatred deepened in his eyes as he muttered incessantly under his breath, "These monsters… these threats to the duchy…"

"Must be eradicated! Killed… killed!"

Unbeknownst to himself, a distorted vortex appeared in his pupils.

After the first collision's violent explosion subsided, the standoff between Oszedro's "Breath of Bahamut" and Cassius's "Primal Breath" continued, entering a deadlock.

Blistering blue and white flames clashed fiercely with frost, radiance, and gales in the sky. The flames blurred under the onslaught of frost, while the frost sizzled and cracked under the scorching heat.

Freezing, melting, and vaporizing occurred incessantly, generating rolling white mist once again.

The two forces dissolved and resisted each other, creating a spectacular scene over the wasteland.

The surrounding air turned chaotic under the impact of these forces, with air currents spinning rapidly into whirlwinds. The temperature fluctuated wildly under the alternating influences, with the ground alternately freezing and steaming.

In the eyes of the onlookers, the Silver Dragon and the Red Dragon faced off, one on the left, one on the right, one high in the sky, the other on the ground, their terrifying breaths locked in an unwavering confrontation.

Olivia and Christina were flung away by the collision's aftermath, crashing into a massive iceberg.

A blue and a silver young female dragon became entangled with one another.

"No—Grandfather!"

"Stop! I'm still alive!"

Breaking free from the Blue Dragon's entanglement, Olivia flapped her wings, trying to take to the skies again.

However, Christina grabbed the Silver Dragon's hind leg and shouted, "Shameless Silver Dragon!"

"I won't let you interfere with this sacred duel!"

Thwarted repeatedly, Olivia grew angry. She swiped her claws, conjuring a forcefield orb the size of a head, directly knocking the Blue Dragon to the ground.

"Move aside! I'm trying to save Cassius!"

"That's Bahamut's power! Do you want him to die?"

Braving the raging storm and torrents of energy, Olivia flew into the air, using an amplified voice spell to shout, "Grandfather! Stop!"

"I'm not dead yet! And I haven't been eaten! Cassius isn't an irredeemable villain!"

Oszedro, who was spewing an icy cascade, finally noticed Olivia's presence. He was startled, and the uncontrollable rage in his heart gradually subsided.

But even Oszedro couldn't completely control the power of the "Breath of Bahamut."

This breath carried a sliver of the "Lord of the North Wind's" divine power. Once unleashed, it couldn't be stopped until it utterly annihilated evil.

Moreover, the Red Dragon continued to unleash its terrifying fission breath. If Oszedro stopped, he'd have to endure the opponent's primal breath, a cost he couldn't afford.

"Stop! Grandfather!"

Olivia continued to call out anxiously.

But against the apocalyptic powers of both sides, the ten-meter-long Silver Dragon appeared so insignificant.

The dreadful magical reaction continued as the two powerful and immensely pure forces clashed and battled, endlessly reshaping the wasteland's environment.

The current leader of the Melvard Clan, a robust adult male Silver Dragon—Leonard—watched the young Silver Dragon in the sky and shouted:

"Olivia! Come back! This isn't a battle you can join!"

Leonard looked up at the battered Oszedro and then at the Red Dragon in the distance, wreathed in flames and wholly focused on its breath attack. A glimmer of determination and resolve flashed in his slit pupils.

"Clansmen, that wicked dragon is immobile now!"

"But tradition…"

The Silver Dragons in the group hesitated.

Leonard urged in a frantic tone, "Elder Oszedro is the guardian of Melvard! He can't be wrong!"

"We must help the elder. Justice and order will prevail!"

At his call, the Silver Dragons behind him flapped their wings and took to the skies.

For the adaptable Silver Dragons, outnumbering the enemy was rarely a disgrace. As the Red Dragons' archenemies, Silver Dragons often relied on allies to defeat these savage and solitary foes.

However, this time, the opponent wasn't alone either.

"Shameless Silver Dragons!"

"Don't think you can get close to His Highness! You're insulting the grandeur of draconic tradition!"

Christina roared in fury, leading twelve Blue Dragon guards forward.

The Blue Dragons of the Faria Clan spewed bolts of lightning, clashing with the Silver Dragons of the Melvard Clan. The two long-feuding dragon groups clashed once more.

"I am the master's most loyal servant!"

Tinia screeched, the twenty-meter-long atavistic White Dragon soaring into the sky, diving into the battling dragon groups and pinning an adult Silver Dragon beneath her.
