Her hair was loose around her shoulders, her eyes wide, her hand half-extended like she'd been ready to yank the door open and storm inside.

"Why didn't you tell me that my brother and Alric are missing?"

Damian's face stayed calm, almost tired, but inside he cursed every lazy shadow servant that hadn't thought to seal the hall.
"I was about to," he said flatly. "Tonight. After I confirmed everything."
