Haliya caught Bulan in her arms and lay him next to Rodion.
Bulan's true core hovered above Rodion's and Bulan's sleeping figure.
Haliya then stood straight and sighed. She glanced in the direction of Mikhail, who was in a deep sleep and leaning peacefully at the edge of the bed.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?"
A familiar sharp voice slithered through Haliya's ears. The source of the voice was as though it was coming from deep of the unknown, reverberating through anyone's heart who might hear it. Even Haliya felt a tugging in her chest upon hearing it. She always had.
"I just need your protection. Bathala will know the truth soon." She answered the voice, "Don't even think of stealing my brother's core or the deal is off." She added as she gazed up at the silvery sphere hovering above Rodion and Prince Nikolai, constantly shifting between phases; new moon, crescent, and full moon.
