Chapter 799 - Chapter 796

"This is my ability—Observation Platform."

As Ron's voice fell, the pattern beneath his feet fully took shape. It was an enormous circular design with a diameter of nine hundred meters, covered in intricate markings. A strange resonance echoed as it activated.

At Ron's command, the circle shifted. No longer centered on himself, it repositioned around Pouf, though Ron remained inside it. Within the pattern, two figures gradually reappeared—Natsu and Uchiha Sasuke.

Previously, because Ron's aura reserves had been insufficient, manifesting the Blue-Eyes White Dragon had forced Natsu and Sasuke to vanish. Now things were different. Having stepped into the S-rank, Ron's aura had expanded dramatically. Manifesting them again posed no problem. With Ron's growth, his beasts had also grown stronger, far surpassing their earlier strength.

The three stood at different angles, surrounding Pouf. Pouf gritted his teeth and rushed at Ron.

But Ron did not dodge. He stood calmly, unconcerned.

"So arrogant?" Pouf sneered. "You think having more aura means you don't even need to evade? Then regret your arrogance!"

He threw a heavy punch. But the instant it landed, Pouf felt something wrong. His fist sank into nothing—like striking cotton. No resistance, no damage.

"What?" His eyes widened in disbelief.

This was the first function of the Observation Platform—Audience.

When Ron and his beasts stood within the circle, Ron could designate one target as the Audience. The Audience could not be attacked. That was why Pouf's blow had passed through without effect: Ron had made himself the Audience.

Only three possibilities could bypass it. The first: a foe so overwhelmingly powerful they shattered the rules of the platform outright.

The second: forcing Ron outside the circle.

The third: destroying every other beast within the platform until only Ron remained.

Achieving any of these conditions was far from easy. Within the Observation Platform, defeating Ron was near impossible.

Retreat would have been wiser—pulling away from the circle entirely. But Ron would not allow Pouf that chance.

Now without concern for his body's safety, Ron attacked without hesitation.

"Natsu."

"Sasuke."

The two beasts obeyed instantly, striking at Pouf. Ron conjured another beast as well—Yuzuru Yamai.

"March."

A clear melody filled the air. As Natsu and Sasuke heard it, their aura surged, their strength multiplying beyond earlier limits. Pouf was immediately forced into the defensive.

What he failed to notice was the second function of the Observation Platform—Analysis.

As the fight wore on and more of their attacks landed, glowing markings appeared across Pouf's body. The design was complex, composed of shifting lines and colors, but only certain segments represented vulnerabilities. If Ron struck those points, the resulting damage would multiply tenfold, even dozens of times.

The appearance of the pattern was disastrous for Pouf. Not only did it expose hidden weaknesses, it also divided his concentration—first in puzzling out what it meant, then in guarding those spots once he realized their significance. All the while, Ron needed only one or two precise strikes to end it.

Through this dual effect, Ron had made himself untouchable while magnifying his opponent's flaws. Where none existed, the circle created them. Against such an ability, Pouf was already hopelessly outmatched.

"Chidori!"

Sasuke blurred past Pouf, his blade of lightning slicing open a gaping wound.

Puchi!

A hole tore through Pouf's flesh, carrying away a chunk of muscle and organ.

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"

Natsu's strike followed, his flame-wreathed punch smashing into Pouf's body. In the past it might have caused little more than pain. Now it shattered bone, sending shockwaves through him.

Two hits, and Pouf was already staggering, consciousness fading.

"Humans… humans!" he cried, swaying as he tried to lunge at Ron.

This time Ron stepped aside. Pouf's eyes lit up, believing the immunity had ended, that he could finally strike. He threw himself at Ron again.

But the blow still passed harmlessly through. Ron was still the Audience.

Disbelief turned to despair as Natsu and Sasuke struck once more, battering him into ruin.

Watching from her own battle against the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Neferpitou's face grew tense. It was not Pouf's survival that concerned her, but the dawning realization—she might truly never reach the King.

Note: To be clear, I don't think this is how it occurs for other S-ranked nen users. What I mean is that for them, it is a gradual increment until they have enough Aura/experience to develop an OP ability. Only then do I think we might see a sudden release, like what we read in cultivation novels. Ron just skipped this "stage" so to speak.

I think this would have happened to Oster as well, but that would have been due to his experiments. So Ron and Oster are a special case.

For Ron, this isn't something unusual since we have seen his increase in aura after the observer reaches 100% before.
