Lynn whispered to himself.
The floor of the entire hall was covered in bone-white tiles, each engraved with tiny runes, emanating a faint bluish glow under the light of the never-extinguishing torches.
In the center stood a broken altar, on which rested a set of scales shackled by iron chains.
The scene looked very bizarre.
Why scales?
Everyone felt an immense sense of confusion for a moment.
"Don't go up there!"
Seeing Lina about to ascend the hall, Lynn shouted at once.
Yet it was a step too late; Lina had already set one foot onto the platform, causing the Divine reliefs on the twelve stone pillars to suddenly "come to life," ghostly green flames igniting in their hollow eye sockets.
The chains on the altar began to move on their own, striking towards the crowd like giant serpents!
At this moment, Hayden paid no mind to the mad Yorick, swinging his great sword towards the chains instead.
But the chains instantly bound Hayden's sword, dragging him towards the altar.
