Bai Meiyue had no intention of doing something so useless. Since these people had no intention of swearing their loyalty to her, why would she waste her time in doing so? She closed her eyes and continued her meditation without caring about what was going on outside. Her brothers would take care of it if anything happened. However, before she could even engross herself in meditation, she heard someone screaming and making a fuss outside her study. She furrowed her brows and opened her eyes just in time to hear someone knock on her door.
"Come in," said Bai Meiyue, and a woman with dishevelled hair rushed inside her study with a sturdy man following her. She looked at Xiao Wu, who was dragging a woman by her arm and frowned even harder. "What is going on?"
Before the man could say anything, the woman rushed forward and knelt in front of Bai Meiyue, and she began to cry, "Bai Meiyue, Bai Meiyue, save me; I am being bullied. Please save me—this man is bullying me."
