In the dojo's backyard, there was a spacious training area specifically designed for larger Pokemon to conveniently practice their combat skills. It resembled a battlefield setup.
Since Kalia had four Pokemon undergoing simultaneous training, the dojo assigned two Fighters to train them daily, splitting the sessions between pairs of Pokemon each day.
At that moment, the young man was guiding Kalia around the training grounds and explaining the dojo's training regimen. Although Kalia didn't fully understand everything, she felt impressed by what she heard.
Lian descended to the ground, followed by Grovyle, making it a total of four Pokemon present, with three being Fire-types.
The young man glanced at Lian and exclaimed, "This Charizard has an impressive size, standing over two meters tall! Such individual traits are quite rare."
Kalia smiled warmly.
Continuing, the young man said, "After reviewing your four Pokemon, we'll train Grovyle and Torchic together, while Ninetales and Charizard will be trained as a pair. Starting tomorrow, please come here for two hours of morning training from 8 AM, and then another three-hour session in the afternoon beginning at 1 PM. Does this schedule work for you?"
"Sounds good," Kalia nodded and then asked, "Learning Fighting techniques should be beneficial for Pokemon in battles as well, right?"
"Certainly! Our training program involves simultaneous sessions for both Pokemon and Fighters. Apart from practicing Fighting moves, we also arrange battles between Pokemon and Fighting-type Pokemon without using any special moves, relying solely on physical strength."
"Such combat enhances the Pokemon's physique and power, significantly improving their overall physical capabilities. I noticed your Pokemon specialize in Special Attacks, but mastering some strong Fighting-type moves could greatly benefit them in battles." the young man explained.
Kalia, satisfied with the explanation, decided to observe the results herself. The dojo's long-standing presence and popularity among trainers indicated its effectiveness.
"Oh, by the way, can I participate in the training too?" Kalia inquired. Training alongside her Pokemon seemed feasible, as it would not only improve her physical fitness but also strengthen the bond with her Pokemon.
"Yes, absolutely," the young man confirmed with no objections.

Following their conversation, Kalia left the dojo and took the opportunity to inquire about its reputation. She discovered overwhelmingly positive feedback; many Trainers had trained their Pokémon here with excellent results.
Feeling reassured, Kalia proceeded to check in at the Pokémon Hotel for her stay.
Kalia realized she needed to find ways to earn more money again. However, as a beginner Trainer rather than a breeder, high-quality jobs were scarce. Only mid-level trainers could access challenging tasks through the Pokémon Centers.
Typically, mid-level trainers possess a Flying-type Pokémon, enabling them to swiftly travel across various regions of Sebas, making task completion efficient.
"Once the month-long combat training is complete, I'll explore options to take on some League missions and make some extra income," Kalia decided after careful thought.
Having insufficient funds was not an option. The combat training at the dojo alone cost her 5,900 Alliance Coins, even with a ten percent discount applied. Additional expenses included hotel stays and various other costs, with numerous future financial needs looming ahead.
Moreover, Kalia planned to visit the Ellie Region someday, aiming to acquire two Z-crystals—an endeavor that would undoubtedly be expensive. Without finding ways to generate income, it would be unfeasible.
Fortunately, with Charizard now at his disposal, traveling to any destination would be much more convenient and save significant transportation costs.
The next day, at the dojo.
Lian stood on the training field, his wings retracted, spitting flames as he faced two middle-aged Fighters along with their Pokémon, Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, standing beside them.
These experienced Fighters had practiced martial arts for over a decade, mastering numerous combat techniques. They have assisted countless Trainers' Pokémon through countless training sessions, leaving most Trainers highly satisfied.
"Let's begin."
As the session was timed, once it commenced, both professional Fighters swiftly entered their training mindset.
Torchic, Grovyle, and Kalia, dressed in white martial arts attire, trained alongside the Fighter with Hitmonchan. Meanwhile, Lian and Ninetales worked with the Fighter accompanied by Hitmonlee.
The Fighter with Hitmonlee, tall and robust, instructed, "Just follow my movements; we'll start with basic techniques."
Lian and Ninetales followed the Fighter alongside Hitmonlee to practice combat techniques, starting from the most basic movements such as punching and kicking, aiming to enhance their foundational strength.
Gradually, they delved deeper into training, with the Fighter's instruction undoubtedly professional, given years of experience working with various Pokemon.
After two hours, Lian continued practicing under the Fighter's guidance, finding it quite engaging. The Pokemon's stamina allowed for sustained training without fatigue concerns.
Kalia also completed her session successfully. As someone who regularly exercised, she effortlessly mastered the Fighter's fundamental moves, only slightly perspiring. However, Torchic did not perform as well.
Despite its best efforts, Torchic lacked arms, and due to Kalia's attentive care, it had become somewhat plump, resulting in clumsy movements. Several times, it struggled to complete the exercises smoothly.
In the afternoon, Lian and Kalia returned to the dojo for another three-hour training session, focusing again on basic maneuvers.
Since neither had prior experience, mastering the fundamentals was crucial before progressing further. Lian fully cooperated with the training, recognizing its potential value in the future.
During the final half-hour, the movement drills paused, and the Fighter instructed Lian and Hitmonlee to engage in a hand-to-hand combat match.
Of course, these battles did not involve using any specific moves; it was purely physical combat. This routine occurred daily to assess the progress of the Pokemon.
On the training field, Lian felt nervous as he faced Hitmonlee.
Hitmonlee is a Fighting-type Pokemon known for its powerful leg techniques. Although not exceptionally strong, it possesses high attack capabilities. While Lian could potentially defeat it with one Air Slash, his grappling skills were far below even beginner level, making victory unlikely.
"Let's begin," the Fighter instructed. "Don't use any moves; fight with your physical strength."
Hitmonlee charged first, opting not to start with its strongest attacks but instead throwing punches. As a specialist in leg-based techniques, using fists indicated some restraint on Hitmonlee's part.
Lian also clenched his claws into fists, having previously used moves like Fire Punch. However, this time without relying on elemental energy, he swung a punch forward.
Thud.
With Lian's low attack stat, upon colliding with Hitmonlee's punch, he felt an overwhelming force and was pushed back.
Hitmonlee's strikes were deliberate and slow, giving Lian ample time to react. Clearly, Hitmonlee aimed to train him effectively, and Lian cooperated by countering and defending in various ways.
