Lian held Kalia tightly, glaring down at the Dark Guild members below with fury burning in his eyes, ready to mete out their punishment.

He swiftly descended and placed Kalia on the grass far away from the battlefield, ensuring she would be safe during the ensuing battle.

"Fire Fright... Charizard!" Kalia looked at Lian with delight, her face filled with excitement. After evolving into a Charizard, his size had significantly increased, reaching over two meters tall, whereas a typical Charizard stands around 1.7 meters.

Lian nodded slightly, flapped his vibrant orange wings, and soared skyward, preparing to settle the score.

Meanwhile, Professor Evergreen decisively released his Poké Balls. With Kalia now safe, he no longer needed to worry about any immediate threats.

Tauros and two other Pokémon landed on the ground, forming a protective barrier around Professor Evergreen. Skillfully mounting Tauros, he distanced himself from Pes and headed towards Kalia.

The intense light of evolution forced Pes to close his eyes momentarily. When he opened them again, he found the evolved Charizard standing alongside the rescued Kalia, while Professor Evergreen had managed to escape during the chaos.

"Dammit!" Pes fumed, but seeing Charizard return with an aggressive stance, he immediately bellowed, "Attack! I want to capture this Charizard alive!"

The dozen Dark Guild Pokemon, along with Tyranitar, Drapion, Pes's Staraptor, and Weavile, gathered in front of him.

Suddenly, Lian emitted a burst of intense light. The surrounding Sandstorm weather was instantly overtaken by blinding sunlight as Lian unleashed Sunny Day, transforming the environment into a bright sunny day.

Sandstorms were highly unfavorable for Lian; henceforth, the upcoming battles required a Sunny Day condition.

Since Lian was flying, the Staraptor swiftly targeted him first, using Wing Attack at high speed.

Lian observed the approaching Staraptor. Before his evolution, he might not have matched its speed, but after evolving, his Speed base stat reached 150. To put it into perspective, his current Speed ability value could now approach nearly 1,500 points.

However, Staraptor's speed was at most around 1,300, creating a significant gap of two hundred ability points. With this disparity, how could even such a high-level Staraptor outpace Lian?

Instantly, Lian unleashed Air Slash. Before his evolution, he had watched numerous demonstration videos of this move multiple times. Now, as a Flying Type post-evolution, he effortlessly comprehended and executed it with ease.

An invisible air blade swiftly targeted Staraptor, leaving only subtle ripples undetectable to the naked eye. Upon collision with Staraptor's wings, there was a loud explosion, indicating a direct hit from the Air Slash.

Simultaneously, Pokémon on the ground capable of ranged attacks also launched their moves against Lian, including Tyranitar's Rock Slide, Drapion's Venoshock, and Weavile's Icy Wind.

Among these assaults, Lian primarily worried about Rock Slide. As for the others, he could easily dodge them without much concern.

While evading attacks, Lian focused his assault on Staraptor, as this flying-type Pokémon posed the greatest threat due to its ability to engage him directly. On the ground, apart from the Rock-type Tyranitar, Lian remained unfazed by the other Pokémon.

Even Weavile was no exception; lacking effective long-range attack moves, it couldn't pose any significant danger to Lian. In fact, a single Fire-type move could instantly defeat it.

Lian unleashed another Air Slash, and he had to admit that this move was incredibly useful. The invisible air blade, difficult to defend against, caught Staraptor off guard without its Keen Eye ability to discern the subtle air vibrations.

Capitalizing on the moment when Air Slash struck Staraptor, Lian swiftly followed up with a Fire Punch, sending the Staraptor plummeting towards the ground.

As Staraptor crashed down, Lian concentrated fire energy throughout his body, particularly in his wings. With his evolution, Lian now gained mastery over moves previously out of reach. Heat Wave, a wide-ranging Fire-type move, covered a vast area effectively.

At this moment, facing the Dark Guild members and their Pokémon on the ground, there was no better move than Heat Wave.

Whoosh!

Lian vigorously flapped his wings, generating powerful gusts infused with scorching flame energy, creating a blazing hurricane of intense heat.

Fully unleashing the Heat Wave move, Lian sent a torrent of searing winds sweeping towards the ground, akin to a wind of death targeting both Pokémon and Dark Guild members below.

"Watch out! It's Heat Wave!"

Initially, the Dark Guild members were anticipating Charizard's defeat, ready to enjoy the spectacle. However, as the Heat Wave approached, panic set in, causing them to scatter hastily.

The scorching gale swept across the terrain, with several Pokémon bearing the brunt of the Heat Wave attack. Many had already suffered from Wrath of Fire earlier and instantly collapsed, losing their ability to fight.

The blistering winds howled as Lian continuously flapped his wings, generating waves of intense heat.

Even Pes was compelled to flee outside the range of the Heat Wave. One careless Dark Guild member inadvertently caught by the high-temperature gust saw their clothes ignite immediately, eliciting painful screams.

In no time, Lian decimated a large portion of the ground-based Pokemon. Only Weavile, with its swift speed, managed to evade, and Tyranitar endured the onslaught directly. The rest were rendered almost entirely combat ineffective.

Even the Staraptor that Lian had knocked down earlier was caught in the Heat Wave, losing its fighting capability instantly.

Now only the Tyranitar and Weavile remained, but Lian didn't need to engage them further as Professor Evergreen's Pokemon were already wrapping up the battle.

Lian's eyes flashed, and he swiftly descended from the sky, heading straight for Pes and the remaining Dark Guild members. They needed to face their punishment.

"Weavile, block it!" Pes, now devoid of his earlier arrogance, appeared panicked and frantically shouted for Weavile to intercept Lian's attack.

However, Lian's speed was unmatched; Weavile could barely keep up. Without hesitation, Lian unleashed a powerful Fire Punch. Although his base attack ability wasn't exceptionally high, after evolving into a Charizard, his offensive capabilities significantly improved.

As Weavile attempted another surprise attack, Lian swiftly turned and dodged, retaliating with a fierce Fire Punch. Caught off guard by Lian's speed, Weavile momentarily froze.

In the next instant, Lian's blazing fist struck Weavile, sending it flying.

With Weavile defeated and Tyranitar engaged by Professor Evergreen's Pokemon, Lian turned his attention to the fleeing group and mercilessly opened his jaws.

Lian would show no mercy towards these individuals; without his evolution, he might have been helpless against their tyranny.

A massive wave of scorching flames erupted fan-like, engulfing the Dark Guild members instantly. This time, he held nothing back.

"Ahh!"

Piercing screams echoed through the air.

"Stop!" Just as Lian thought none of them would survive, a colossal surge of water rushed from afar, extinguishing his fiery onslaught.

Although the flames were doused, the Dark Guild members suffered severe burns. Without immediate medical attention, they likely wouldn't make it.
