The following days were remarkably peaceful.
During the daytime, Lian accompanied Kalia to battle at the Pokémon Center for practical training. In the evenings, he visited the research institute to practice Z-Moves.
Then, he would enter the system's Dream World within its virtual space, aiming to enhance the Dream World's level and accelerate his real-world progression.
This routine continued for some time, quickly spanning nearly two weeks. It was now early September; although still hot, the weather had become noticeably cooler compared to before.
Over these two weeks, Lian's strength rapidly increased. Normally, it might have taken him a month to reach Level 35, but with this accelerated pace, he achieved that milestone in just two weeks.
Although still slightly short of Level 36, he was very close—just one level away, which could be attained swiftly.
Apart from leveling up, Lian's mastery over Fire-type energy officially reached 50%, marking a significant qualitative improvement in his control, granting him even greater proficiency.
Additionally, his progress in the Dream World was impressive, reaching Level 15. With abilities far surpassing other Pokémon, Lian established himself as a dominant force in his region.
Currently, Lian was strategizing to venture further and seek stronger opponents, aiming to accelerate his level progression. He had noticed that in the Dream World, defeating tougher adversaries yielded greater growth. If Lian could defeat a Slaking, he estimated it would instantly boost him to Level 20.
At Level 15, confronting wild Pokemon in the forests posed significant challenges, as many were already around Level 30. Moreover, Lian still needed to learn more moves, limiting his ability to deal substantial damage effectively.
Tonight, Lian planned to challenge a high-level yet relatively easier opponent: a Grass-type Tangela.
In the middle of the night...
Lian entered the system space.
As usual, he checked the battle statistics. Over the past two weeks, although Grovyle and Ninetales' progress couldn't match his own, they had still improved notably. Grovyle officially reached Level 30, while Ninetales climbed to Level 35.
However, leveling up wasn't the most significant aspect; the primary focus was on their ability changes. With both Grovyle and Ninetales taking turns wearing the Strength Lens during battles, and Kalia frequently deploying them, their Special Attack abilities saw rapid improvement.
Currently, Grovyle's Special Attack ability value had reached over six hundred. This might seem insignificant, but just recently, its Special Attack was only around five hundred.
The Strength Lens indeed proved highly effective, significantly boosting both Pokemon's Special Attack abilities within a few short weeks.
Although their Special Attack values were still far from reaching their maximum potential, they had made considerable progress.
Initially, Lian planned to further enhance their Special Attack capabilities to prevent them from being a liability in future battles. However, now it seemed he could wait. First, let them improve using the Strength Lenses until their Special Attack gains plateaued. Then, Lian would use Combat Points to fill any remaining gap up to the maximum limit, which wouldn't cost much anyway.
Over this extended period, Lian had developed some rapport with Grovyle and Ninetales. Providing appropriate assistance for their growth was necessary; otherwise, if they remained too weak, they'd be mere bystanders during battles. It couldn't solely rely on Lian; these Pokemon needed to contribute as well.
Sceptile and Ninetales are formidable Pokémon, and once they learn sufficiently powerful moves, their combat effectiveness can reach extraordinary heights.
Next, Lian checked his data panel. After reaching level 35, his Special Attack ability value had soared to 1,369 points, which was truly astonishing. Comparing it to Ninetales and Grovyle's meager six or seven hundred points for their Special Attack values highlighted the significant gap.
His Speed ability value also surpassed one thousand, reaching 1,219 points - quite impressive indeed.
Meanwhile, over the past two weeks, Lian accumulated Combat Points. Deducting those spent due to accidental defeats in the Dream World and the consumption for enhancing his Fire-type Energy Control Rating,
his total Combat Points now stood at 32,121. With over thirty thousand Combat Points, Lian decided not to hold back; it was time to make some substantial upgrades.
Firstly, he focused on his Stamina ability value. Since he hadn't increased it previously, he could now boost it up to Limit +30, aligning with his other abilities.
As Lian was already level 35, upgrading his Stamina ability value to Limit +30 required more Combat Points than before. It cost him 4,200 points, raising his Stamina from 1,325 to 1,395, resulting in an increase of 70 ability points.
After upgrading his Stamina Ability Value, Lian decided to enhance his Speed Ability Value as well, since it had been quite some time without any improvement. Each point increase required consuming 240 Combat Points, making it somewhat costly.
However, obtaining Combat Points became increasingly easier for Lian. With no immediate need to boost Special Attack, and considering he was just one level away from evolution, Lian opted to upgrade his Speed Ability Value.
The cost for enhancing speed wasn't excessive, so Lian swiftly increased the Speed Ability Value to its maximum limit of +50, reaching the equivalent of a base stat of 130 points.
This enhancement consumed 16,800 Combat Points, raising his Speed Ability Value from 1,219 to 1,289, closing in on the mark of 1,300.
Now with 11,121 Combat Points remaining, Lian decided not to use them all, choosing instead to save for entering the Dream World. In case of emergencies, these Combat Points could restore him to full health four times.
Although the fourth restoration would require 10,000 Combat Points, Lian wouldn't use them lightly; it served as insurance. If restoring three times still didn't suffice, Lian could opt to return to system space rather than using the fourth restoration.
Finally, Lian approached the gate. With a creak, he stepped into the Dream World.

In the Dream World, at a certain location:
A long-haired man with narrowed eyes traversed through a desolate landscape, accompanied by a Larvitar and an Elekid. Nearby, a young yellow Zapdos hovered cautiously in the low airspace.
The Zapdos youngster appeared fearful, its eyes filled with trepidation. Whenever it tried to move, Larvitar would display a menacing Scary Face shadow, frightening the Zapdos into remaining still.
"What a fascinating place," murmured the handsome long-haired man, his expression awestruck as he observed the surroundings. Along the way, whenever encountering weak Pokemon, he commanded Larvitar and the Zapdos youngling to attack them.
In the long-haired man's hand, he held a Lunar Feather, while several more radiant Lunar Feathers adorned his waistband.
Although neither Larvitar nor Zapdos were particularly strong, Zapdos inherently possessed immense potential, showcasing remarkable prowess even at its young stage.
As the long-haired man continued his journey, he reached a barren wasteland where the Pokemon were noticeably stronger than those encountered earlier.
With the increased strength of these Pokemon, his own creatures began sustaining injuries more frequently. However, the long-haired man showed no concern and relentlessly pushed them to keep battling.
Whenever his Pokemon became too exhausted, nearing their inability to continue, the man would recall them into pink Poké Balls for healing.
These were not ordinary Poké Balls but Heal Balls. When a Pokemon entered a Heal Ball, it gradually recovered from injuries and regained stamina, proving highly beneficial.
Moreover, the long-haired man's Heal Balls were evidently not standard; typical Heal Balls could only facilitate one recovery session.
