Fu Lin only felt the light and shadows before his eyes twist chaotically, the world spinning. When he barely managed to steady himself, he saw Kiana☆ smiling brightly at him.
"Welcome to the Moon, Fu Lin~" The girl's voice was light and sweet, carrying a hint of pride, as if she were taking credit for something.
"Kiana☆... how did you end up bringing me to the Moon?" Fu Lin rubbed his forehead helplessly, not knowing whether to laugh or cry as he looked at the girl smiling before him.
Kiana☆ put her hands on her hips, tilted her head playfully, and a mischievous glint danced between her brows and eyes.
"Hehe, didn't you yourself say you wanted to find somewhere to hide? I'm just helping you 'take refuge'~ This place is very safe, you know~"
Looking at her utterly self-righteous expression, Fu Lin could only let out a sigh.
"Thanks. That's really… 'so thoughtful' of you."
"Not at all~" Kiana☆ blinked her clear, bright eyes. Her fingers lightly rested on Fu Lin's arm as she affectionately hooked onto it, her tone still soft and sweet.
But the very next second, that sweetness vanished. Her voice turned cold, as if tempered in ice, each word carrying an unmistakable pressure.
"Speaking of which, I wasn't by your side these past few days, and it seems Fu Lin has been not very obedient again~"
'Wow, that face-changing speed is way too fast!'
Fu Lin froze for a moment, his heart skipping a beat. He instinctively straightened his back, forcing calm onto his face, though his gaze drifted aside unconsciously.
"H-How was I not obedient? In St Fontaine I was clearly behaving myself the whole time. I didn't do anything at all!"
"Really?" Kiana☆ lowered her voice, the tail end tinged with a sticky chuckle that sent a chill down Fu Lin's spine.
Her other hand slowly lifted, fingertips gently brushing across his cheek. The movement was tender, yet the strength behind it carried an undeniable dominance.
"Then who was teasing Bronya, hmm? So hard to guess~ Do you think that just because I wasn't around, I couldn't see what you were doing, so you could run wild without restraint?"
"..."
'Crap! Kiana☆ has been watching me this whole time! I need to divert her attention fast and get her to let this go!'
Fu Lin's mind raced. He suddenly leaned in close, the tip of his nose almost touching Kiana☆'s. Warm breath carrying an indisputable pressure swept over her skin.
Caught off guard by the sudden move, Kiana☆ froze and subconsciously leaned back slightly. Shyness flickered in her evasive eyes, her voice trembling with confusion.
"Fu Lin~ (trembling)"
Fu Lin's fingers abruptly gripped her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. His voice was low, firm, leaving no room for refusal.
"Don't talk. Kiss me."
There was no hesitation, only a rush of urgent tenderness, sealing all her unspoken complaints and reproaches between their lips.
Kiana☆'s body stiffened instantly, her pupils widening as she forgot even how to breathe.
Warm breaths intertwined, mingled with each other's scent, as if even the cold air of the lunar base had been heated to a simmer.
After a moment, Kiana☆'s cheeks flushed crimson. The icy pressure from before vanished without a trace, leaving only flustered bewilderment after the sudden attack, her trembling even more obvious.
"F-Fu Lin... why so suddenly... I wasn't ready yet...."
Before she could finish, Fu Lin gently wrapped an arm around her waist and pressed down again.
Kiana☆'s fingers instinctively clenched at Fu Lin's sleeve. The initial resistance gradually softened, until she unconsciously wrapped her arms around his neck, shyly responding.
The obsession and chill born from jealousy melted away in this sudden kiss, like ice and snow meeting warm sunlight, disappearing without a trace.
After who knew how long, Fu Lin finally pulled back, resting his forehead against hers. His breathing was slightly ragged, his voice still low but now carrying a coaxing warmth.
"Still angry?"
Kiana☆ buried herself in his arms, her cheeks burning hot, even the tips of her ears bright red. After a long pause, she squeezed out a complaint through her nose.
"I am... I'm still a little angry... b-but next time you're not allowed to tease anyone else... and it was even Bronya... cough cough, other women are not allowed either!"
As she spoke, she raised her hand and lightly thumped Fu Lin's chest. The force was as soft as a feather, but her eyes were full of aggrieved, coquettish resentment.
"You're only allowed to tease me..."
Fu Lin chuckled softly and naturally pulled her tightly into his arms, resting his chin atop her head. His voice was so gentle it could almost drip water.
"Alright. I won't tease anyone else, only you."
Kiana☆ rubbed against him like a wronged but comforted little cat and hummed softly.
"As long as you know."
At that moment, a "click" sounded from the doorway.
Facing their gazes, Einstein pushed up her glasses, silently slipped her phone back into her pocket, and stood there calmly as she spoke.
"Ahem. Although I really don't want to interrupt your intimacy, please don't ignore our presence."
Fu Lin, "..."
Kiana☆'s body stiffened instantly. Heat uncontrollably flooded her cheeks as she turned toward the doorway where the two stood, coughing awkwardly.
"Dr. Einstein, Dr. Tesla… why are you here?"
Einstein's calm gaze swept over the two of them, her tone as placid as ever.
"We detected abnormal Honkai energy fluctuations just now, so we came to check the situation. We didn't expect to interrupt you two being affectionate, our apologies."
Tesla crossed her arms, elbowing Einstein teasingly.
"Messy-hair, that's more than just interrupting. This was a full-on public display of affection. I'm about to be stuffed to the brim."
"Dr. Tesla!" Kiana☆ protested shyly. Fu Lin's face turned even redder, wishing he could find a crack in the ground and crawl into it.
Kiana☆ spoke up at just the right moment.
"Abnormal Honkai energy fluctuations? It should have been caused by me using Herrscher power just now to bring Fu Lin to the Moon."
"I see." Einstein nodded in understanding.
Tesla clicked her tongue, sounding somewhat displeased.
"Tch. Could you at least give us a heads-up next time you use your power? We almost thought you were in danger. We rushed all the way here for nothing, and ended up force-fed dog food."
Kiana☆ tried to act calm and waved her hand, "Got it, got it. I'll pay attention next time!"
Even so, her ears were still burning red, her eyes darting away, too embarrassed to meet the two doctors' scrutinizing gazes.
"That's good then." Einstein nodded and turned to leave. "Since it was a false alarm, we won't disturb you two anymore… carry on."
She said it very plainly, but it was like a pebble tossed into a quiet lake, making Kiana☆'s cheeks explode into red, even her neck flushed with a faint pink.
"Oh, right, one more reminder." Einstein suddenly added, a hint of naughty amusement in her tone. "Affection between men and women is a good thing, but that sort of thing should still be kept in moderation. At this stage, we really don't recommend doing that yet~"
"Dr. Einstein!" Kiana☆ shot her an indignant glare, burying her head even deeper, nearly drilling into Fu Lin's chest.
Fu Lin felt a bit awkward as well, but seeing Kiana☆ so red she was practically rivaling a apple, a low chuckle slipped from his throat.
He gently reached out and rubbed her burning cheek, his eyes full of indulgence and teasing.
'Hahaha, so that means for the next while, Kiana☆ will have to keep herself pure and restrained! Ahahaha, then staying on the Moon isn't so bad after all!'
