Daphne raised her eyebrows," You won't take galleons for it?"

Nova shook his head," Money is not something really important for me right now. Afterall I already have Potter Vaults..."

Nova finished with a smile while Harry just gave him deadpan looks.

" Then what do you want?", Asked Astoria.

Nova closed his eyes, taking a deep breath he answered," I want complete mastery in the three unforgivable curses."

There was a silence for a few seconds.

Immediately Harry shouted," Impossible! Nova why do you want those spell?"

Daphne blinked. "Okay, that wasn't on my bingo card."

Astoria frowned. "You're not serious… right?"

Nova opened his eyes and looked at them, calm as ever. "I am."

Harry was pacing now, clearly agitated. "You can't just say stuff like that, man. Those curses—they're illegal for a reason! You could get thrown in Azkaban just for using one!"

Nova looked at Harry like he was looking at a fool," Harry who is going to send me to Azkaban? Where do you think I am?"

Harry smiled sheepishly and quitened down but Hermione continued," Even so Nova those spells are named Unforgivable for a reason."

Nova just smiled," You see I need knowledge and experience of those spells as it's important."

Daphne raised her eyebrows," Why is it important?"

Nova smiled," It's because I have an enemy whose only weakness is soul attacks. In fact his entire clans weakness is soul spells. Let me tell you more information, these people travel around and kill and devour people who have animal totem powers. I am not going to explain more, so...".

After a long debate, Harry reluctantly agreed," Alright we will learn the unforgivable spells and they will be transferred to the library of yours."

Nova smiled," Good."

Seeing the trade succesful, Nova took a deep breath. It's time to test the limits of his wish ability. He looked at Astoria," Speak your wish clearly to me. But remember their will be some unknown side effects of this three bond."

Astoria didn't listen the side effects word and continued," My wish is for creation of three way bond between me, Daphne and Harry. Harry will access to the twin nexus and it's abilities while we sister will get get access to Harry's abilities."

Taking a deep breath, Nova snapped his fingers.

The effect was instantaneous.

A blinding pulse of silver-blue light enveloped Harry, Daphne, and Astoria in a swirling vortex of magic.

Meanwhile, Nova staggered as the weight of the wish began to take its toll—his legs buckled slightly, and his vision blurred. It was like his very soul had been drained.

He dropped to one knee, gasping for air, his body trembling. Sweat trickled down his temple as the overwhelming force of the wish consumed nearly all of his energy. Nova barely managed to keep himself upright, teetering on the edge of unconsciousness.

Before he could say anything else, all three—Harry, Daphne, and Astoria—collapsed where they stood, their bodies gently cushioned by a spell by Hermione.

A deep chime echoed through the air.

Nova's body slumped forward, his breathing shallow but steady, sweat glistening on his brow as the toll of the wish hit him like a hammer to the soul.

He turned his head slowly toward Hermione, forcing a small smirk despite the exhaustion dragging at his limbs. "They'll wake up in a few hours or so," he murmured. "So... do you want to make any trade or anything right now?"

Hermione, instead of answering immediately, looked at him—really looked at him. The sweat, the ragged breaths, the subtle tremor in his fingers. Concern softened her features.

"Are you okay?" she asked gently.

Nova gave a short chuckle, though it lacked his usual energy. "If you want a wish fulfilled, no chance—I'm tapped out. But for everything else, I'm still functional."

She gave a small nod, thoughtful, before asking, "We'd previously made a plan to start a defense club… because of that horrid toad. But since your curse is going to force a new teacher on us, do you think we should still go through with it?"

Nova closed his eyes for a moment, considering. "Yes, you should still start it. There are a lot of benefits, Hermione. The biggest one being the connections—you'll be surrounded by talented people. You'll form bonds that will help not only in the coming war but during quests and other high-stakes situations too."

Hermione hummed in agreement. "Hmm, you're right. We'll think about the best way to organize it."

There was a pause in the conversation, comfortable but laced with unspoken thoughts. Then Nova suddenly tilted his head.

"Wait… don't you and Harry have a third friend?" he asked, eyebrows furrowed. "Ron Weasley, right? Why haven't I seen him with you two during trades or any of this planning?"

At that, Hermione hesitated—noticeable, just a second too long. She glanced down, as if weighing whether to tell the truth, and then sighed.

"It's because Ron's friendship with us… it isn't real," she admitted softly. "He spies on us for Dumbledore."

Nova stilled and eyes narrowed slightly.

So... some of those fanfics were right after all. The jealous best friend trope wasn't just fiction. Ron Weasley, the ever-insecure pawn, the convenient tool in Dumbledore's grand chessboard. Always close enough to Harry to influence him, but never a threat. Manipulative loyalty, loyalty bought with lies.

He leaned back slightly, fatigue pressing down on his bones, but his mind sharpened with clarity.

Dumbledore's fingerprints were everywhere. The way Ron was always nearby, always pushing for control over Harry's choices—who he trusted, what he did, what he thought. And now, the truth laid bare by the brightest witch of her age. It wasn't just speculation. It was confirmed.

He looked at Hermione again, his voice low. "Did you tell Harry?"

She nodded. "Yes. He didn't want to believe it at first. But... too many red flags. Too many inconsistencies. He's hurt, but he knows now."

Hermione glanced toward the unconscious trio before leaning in slightly, lowering her voice, "Well, I didn't use anything dark or harmful—nothing like mind control or potions. It was subtle. Psychological nudging, really."

Nova's grin turned a little mischievous. "Go on…"

Hermione continued, "I started with casual conversations. Little things—pointing out how Harry hated being treated like some kind of celebrity, how uncomfortable he was when people tried to act like they knew him just because of his name. Then, I'd gently reinforce those ideas by highlighting the people Harry actually trusts—people who see him for who he is, not what he represents."

Nova nodded, clearly intrigued. "Smart. Conditioning her expectations."

"Exactly," Hermione said, looking almost proud. "I even staged a few moments. Like having Harry express frustration when fans or students approached him too eagerly. I made sure Ginny overheard just enough of those complaints for her to start second-guessing her behavior."

Nova chuckled. "So you killed the illusion slowly. Made her confront the reality."

"Bit by bit," Hermione confirmed. "She started dialing back her obsession on her own. The books went back on the shelf. She stopped trying to insert herself into every conversation Harry and I had. These days, she's more grounded. I'm still keeping an eye on her, of course, but she's not a threat. Not anymore."

Nova leaned back, clearly impressed. "Damn. Subtle manipulation, character reorientation, emotional redirection… remind me never to get on your bad side."

Hermione smirked. "Too late for that."

Nova snorted, then gave her a look of genuine respect. "Honestly, I'm surprised you haven't snapped more often with how much bullshit you put up with."

Hermione shrugged. "I've had years of practice. And now that I have options—" she gestured toward the unconscious forms of Harry, Daphne, and Astoria, "—I don't have to play nice anymore."

Nova's grin widened. "I like this version of you."

Hermione raised an eyebrow. "Good. Because this is the version who's going to help us win a war."
