We were at the door, and Eleanor opened it for the guards to bring in the bags they were carrying.
"Finally, you are back. What were you doing out there? It's not like you were going to pick the kids up from school—you were just getting them from the gate," she said with an attitude, watching TV and only turning when she heard the bags clattering.
"Eleanor! Are you crazy? Who gave you permission to buy those brats things with my son's money? Who do you think you are, using my son's money on those bastards? You are nothing without my son," she said, her face twisted into a withering scowl, chin tilted just enough to look down on her as if she were beneath her.
"Oh! How come I don't know that?" I said with a stern look as I walked in, pushing the twins' stroller.
"Eleanor, could you please take the kids to their rooms? From what I know, that scumbag will be here in 30 minutes. George, take the cars to a place not far from here and wait for my call," I said, reaching into my left pocket for my car keys and handing them to George before settling myself in the living room.
"I have got to say. You have a lot of nerve treating my Eleanor like some maid when I myself treat her like a glass." I said looking around the house before turning around to stare daggers at them.
"What is it to you how are treat her? Who do you think you are? Hah? How dare you talk to me like that? Do you know who is my son?" she snapped, her hands planted firmly on her waist, chin raised in smug defiance.
Her words dripped with arrogance and scorn as if her son's name alone should be enough to silence anyone. Eleanor descended the stairs, stopping at the living room entrance to take in the scene.
"Heh! Is that so?... Eleanor. Finally, you're back. Come sit next to me," I called out, my eyes shifting from a stern glare to something softer as I took in Eleanor, who was still paused at the living room entrance.
"Now that you are here, I'll get to business. This is the statement for all the money Eleanor spent on you, your daughter and that worthless son. You have 3 days to pay it back and exactly 2 hours to pack your things and get out of this house or else hell will break lose."
I said, my expression changing from softer to a murderous look.
"What?! Oh well, you bitch dare to act because my son is not around. I'm calling James and telling him that you are kicking us out of the house. Just wait and see how he deals with you," she said, her words filled with arrogance as she reached out for her phone to call her son.
"James, my son. Your evil wife is kicking us out of the house and wants to take our money to support her new lover," she said, lying through her teeth as she pretended to cry.
"Very well, that bitch dares to act arrogant just because I got delayed a bit. Wait for me to get home, I'll teach her a good lesson that she will never dare to disrespect you again." he said arrogantly then hanged up.
Ohh! This will be fun. I thought to myself, a crooked smirk tugging at the corner of my lips.
We waited for 20 minutes for Eleanor's scumbag husband to come back from work and when he got there, he made loud noise that woke Ha-jun and Ha-eun. Now I was really pissed off. I always walked on egg shell so I wouldn't wake my two cute darlings from their beauty sleep, who was he to wake them. He was about to walk into the living room when I picked up an empty glass from the table and threw it at him, my eyes filled murderous intent. Eleanor rushed to calm down the twins while her evil mother-in-law rushed to her son who's forehead was now bleed.
"Better count yourself lucky that I didn't find a knife near me. You have 20 minutes to pack all your trash and leave this house immediately. And you better not take anything bought with Eleanor's money or even try to you the kids as leverage otherwise hell will be your next home." I said, tilting my head to one side, a cold, predatory look settling over my face as if I were about to strike.
