Ten years is more than enough time for many, many things to happen.
Goteno and Trunksia grew from two mischievous little girls into two mischievous young women.
Yuujin and his companions' empire expanded from several star systems to dozens, becoming the true overlords of the universe.
Even Miss Elisa graduated from school and joined the Dragon Ball Corporation, replacing Fist—who had been promoted to the Temple—as the new Queen of Orange Star. There, in her little domain, she began her reign as a domineering queen, lording over her territory.
And that was just the beginning...
As for Yuujin and his group themselves, the most significant development was that, after ten years of training, Yuujin, Gokumi, and Vegea finally achieved Full Power Super Saiyan 3!
Super Saiyan 3 was currently the most powerful transformation they had, but its drawbacks were also quite obvious.
At first, simply transforming consumed about half their total energy, and regardless of whether they fought or not, their energy drained rapidly over time. The energy efficiency was terribly low.
However, after reaching Full Power Super Saiyan 3, they finally overcame those weaknesses!
Not only had they compressed the energy needed for the transformation to the absolute minimum, but now, whether in battle or not, there was no more excess energy drain. In fact, as long as they weren't actively using energy to fight, they could maintain the Super Saiyan 3 form indefinitely—unlike before, when they frequently needed Senzu Beans to replenish their energy.
Although the power boost from Super Saiyan 3 remained a 400x increase over base form, their overall strength was far beyond what it used to be!
This was a cause for celebration, but it also meant they had hit a new ceiling in their training.
The Super Saiyan transformations were a mighty racial evolution of the Saiyans—a warrior race that developed this ability over countless years. Though Yuujin and the others had already attained Super Saiyan 1, 2, and 3, it didn't necessarily mean they could continue transforming into Super Saiyan 4, 5, 1000, or even 10,000.
That kind of idea was clearly unrealistic!
Just having evolved three stages of Super Saiyan over history was already extremely rare. Bulma and Android 21's analysis of Saiyan genetics also confirmed that Super Saiyan 3 appeared to be the limit of their transformation potential. There was no genetic evidence of Super Saiyan 4 or 5 even existing.
And frankly, that wasn't a big issue. Besides Broly's bug-level Legendary Super Saiyan form with its limitless growth, Yuujin and the others' Super Saiyan 3 was already incredibly powerful. In today's universe, it was hard to find worthy opponents.
But Yuujin knew—this world, or at least other universes out there, had transformations and powers far beyond even Super Saiyan 3!
So there was no way he would be content or complacent with just this level of power. To never again suffer the humiliation he once experienced as a child on Planet Vegeta due to his weakness—and to protect everything he now held dear—he had to reach even greater heights.
Even though Bulma and Android 21's research suggested Super Saiyan 3 was the limit, Yuujin knew there were still two potential paths to greater power.
One was the Super Saiyan God from Dragon Ball Super.
The other was the Super Saiyan 4 from Dragon Ball GT.
Super Saiyan God appeared in Dragon Ball Super after Super Saiyan 3. But strictly speaking, it wasn't part of the traditional Super Saiyan line—it was a transformation born of spiritual ascension, a higher divine state.
The method to achieve it was relatively simple: have six Saiyans with righteous hearts channel their inner light into one individual, allowing that Saiyan to transform into a Super Saiyan God.
There wasn't any strict definition for a "righteous heart," but as long as someone wasn't like the evil and cruel Saiyans of old, they qualified. With Goteno and Trunksia, Yuujin's group had more than enough candidates.
However… it didn't work. No matter how they tried, it was a failure. Not only could they not get Goteno, Broly, Vegea, Goteno, or Trunksia to channel their righteous light into Yuujin—nothing happened even when trying to channel their darkest light instead!
Frustrated, Yuujin had no choice but to summon Shenron to find out what the problem was.
As it turned out, unlike the universe in Dragon Ball Super, their universe lacked higher-order gods like the Supreme Kais and Gods of Destruction due to cosmic rules. There had never been a "Super Saiyan God" legend here.
In other words, the Super Saiyan God path was simply impossible in this universe!
A bit disheartened, Yuujin gave up on that path and turned his attention to the Super Saiyan 4 transformation from Dragon Ball GT.
Like Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan 4 wasn't really part of the core Super Saiyan transformation line. A more accurate term would be Primal Saiyan, but for convenience, it was referred to as Super Saiyan 4.
Unlike Super Saiyan God, which was a spiritual elevation, Super Saiyan 4 was an awakening of Saiyan bloodline potential.
The method was also simple: a Saiyan with sufficient strength and the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan needed to absorb Blutz Waves, triggering the transformation into a Golden Great Ape. If they could then control their mind and regain their rationality, they would evolve into Super Saiyan 4.
Yuujin, Gokumi, and the others were all powerful enough and could transform into Super Saiyans. Furthermore, Bulma and Android 21's research showed that Yuujin and the others did have a segment of "Primal Genes" within their genetic code. With the right Blutz Wave exposure and Super Saiyan energy, they might truly be able to achieve the legendary Super Saiyan 4 transformation!
This discovery allowed Yuujin to breathe a long sigh of relief. If the Super Saiyan God path was blocked in this universe, and Super Saiyan 4 didn't work either, things would have gotten really troublesome.
Super Saiyan 4 it was then. Compared to the spiritual enlightenment of Super Saiyan God, Yuujin actually preferred the Super Saiyan 4 path—one that involved unlocking and mastering the potential already within himself.
And honestly? Just based on appearance alone, Super Saiyan 4 looked way cooler than Super Saiyan God!
But before Yuujin could celebrate for long, Bulma and Android 21 delivered some unsettling news…
Gokumi and Vegea should theoretically be able to transform into Super Saiyan 4.
But Yuujin… might have a problem.
