Chapter 284 - Goodbye, Broly (Part 2)

"Great! It's Lord Kami and Goddess!"

"And that's Princess Vegea!"

"We're saved! If Lord Kami and the others are here, they can definitely defeat that monster!"

The warriors of the expeditionary force, having narrowly survived, erupted in wave-like cheers upon seeing Yuujin and his companions.

Luckily, they had arrived just in time—just moments ago, the soldiers had thought they were truly doomed!

However, Yuujin, Gokumi, and Vegea had no time to respond. Their eyes were locked onto Broly, standing before them.

"L-Look, Yuujin, Vegea! She's a Super Saiyan, just like us!"

Gokumi was stunned as she observed Broly.

Vegea was just as shocked.

Planet Vegeta had been destroyed by Frieza long ago, and she had believed the only surviving Saiyans were Sirus, Kakarrot, and a few others. But now, another one had appeared.

And not just any Saiyan—one who was also a Super Saiyan!

"There shouldn't be any other Saiyan survivors besides us," Vegea muttered coldly.

"Who exactly are you? Answer me!"

Her sharp gaze bore into Broly.

Since the girl before them was also a Saiyan, there was no way Vegea could ignore this situation.

"Broly. That's my name."

Broly was also observing Yuujin and the others.

All three of them had golden hair and golden auras—undoubtedly, they were Super Saiyans like her. This gave Broly a strange sense of kinship, making her feel a small joy in her heart.

Moreover, the male Saiyan among them gave her an odd feeling.

He looked unfamiliar, yet at the same time, there was something about him that felt familiar—almost as if she had met him long, long ago.

"So your name is Broly, huh? I'm Gokumi! Gokumi, also known as Kakarrot!"

Upon hearing Broly introduce herself, Gokumi quickly did the same.

However, as Broly's gaze landed on Gokumi, her expression twisted into a frown.

"Kakarrot… I hate that name."

"Huh? Why do you hate me?"

Gokumi had been happy to meet another Saiyan. But suddenly being told that she was hated left her feeling both hurt and confused.

"I don't know. I just do."

"H-How could you…"

Broly's blunt response hit Gokumi like a critical blow, leaving her speechless.

Seeing Gokumi's wounded expression, Yuujin found the situation amusing. He then flew toward Broly.

"Broly, so you survived after all."

"I'm Yuujin, but my Saiyan name is Sirus."

"…I'm sorry I couldn't take you with me when I escaped back then."

As he spoke, Yuujin instinctively reached out and gently brushed his hand against Broly's forehead.

Back on Planet Vegeta, Yuujin had looked after both Broly and Gokumi from the moment they were born. When the planet was on the verge of destruction, he had planned to take both of them and escape.

But back then, Yuujin had been too weak to fight against fate. When he arrived at the nursery to take them, he had witnessed King Vegeta's men attempting to assassinate Broly.

Though he wanted to save her, Yuujin had been powerless. He had no choice but to turn away and escape with Gokumi, barely ensuring their survival.

Over the years, Yuujin had often wondered if Broly had somehow survived, just like in Dragon Ball's original story.

When he saw her earlier, his first reaction was shock. But that quickly gave way to genuine happiness.

"Yuujin… Sirus?"

Broly clearly didn't remember him, nor did she understand what he was talking about.

However—

"…Head pats. I like them."

For a moment, Yuujin was surprised. Then, he chuckled and patted her head again.

Broly closed her eyes, a blissful expression appearing on her face.

Even though she had no memories of Yuujin, even though she didn't know who he was—she liked his scent. And she liked his head pats.

The once-tense atmosphere in the sky took on an oddly ambiguous tone.

The soldiers of the expeditionary force had no idea what was happening. All they saw was their mighty Lord Kami exchanging a few words with the monstrous girl, then flying over and patting her head.

Had he used some divine technique to subdue her? Truly worthy of being their Kami!

While the soldiers were filled with admiration, someone else was seething with rage.

Aboard a distant spaceship, Paragus's fury boiled over.

Who the hell was that brat who had the audacity to touch his daughter?!

"Yuujin, do you know her?"

"Sirus, what's going on here?"

Gokumi and Vegea flew over, both confused by the strange situation.

"She's Broly, a Saiyan born on the same day as Gokumi."

"She—"

Yuujin was about to explain further when Paragus suddenly flew out of his ship with a squad of soldiers.

"Broly! What do you think you're doing?"

"Get back here immediately!"

Paragus's furious voice rang out even from a distance.

"…Father."

Broly glanced between Yuujin and Paragus before ultimately choosing to fly back.

Paragus carefully inspected Broly. Once he was sure she was unharmed, he let out a sigh of relief.

Of course, it wasn't out of genuine parental concern. Like most Saiyans, Paragus was cold and ruthless. But Broly was a key part of his plan for conquest—he couldn't allow anyone else to interfere.

"Well, if it isn't Lord Paragus. It's been a long time."

Yuujin greeted him casually.

Though many years had passed, Paragus's appearance hadn't changed much, so Yuujin recognized him instantly.

"Who the hell are you, brat?!"

Paragus glared coldly at Yuujin, his single remaining eye full of suspicion.

Yuujin smirked.

"Wow, how forgetful you are."

"I'm Yuujin. My Saiyan name is Sirus. Back on Planet Vegeta, I was the one who used to take care of your daughter, Broly."

"But I suppose someone as high and mighty as you wouldn't bother remembering a nobody like me."

There was a trace of mockery in Yuujin's tone as he shrugged.

"…You're that useless, tailless runt?!"

Paragus had long forgotten Yuujin's face, but he recognized the name Sirus.

After all, a Saiyan born without a tail was considered a disgrace—and Celoss had been infamous on Planet Vegeta for that very reason.

"Yes, that was me," Yuujin replied indifferently.

"You actually survived… and even became a Super Saiyan?!"

This time, Paragus was genuinely stunned. He stared at Yuujin, his single eye narrowing with jealousy.

That worthless brat not only survived but also achieved the legendary transformation?!

Unbelievable! Even he, Paragus, had never been able to attain such power.

Why should this nobody be able to?!
