Chapter 575 - Dividing The Last Elixir

She hadn't expected these two to suddenly turn on her, right here at headquarters.

Shock and fury welled up inside her, but before she could react, Golden Snidget stepped forward silently, raised his wand, and cast Avada Kedavra at close range.

In an instant, the trusted colleague, a longtime ally from the Saint Party, was dead.

Without a word, Golden Snidget and Thunderbird methodically cleaned up the scene.

Thunderbird gathered any valuables, while Golden Snidget wiped away the blood.

Nearby, Ashwinder took Acromantula's body and carried it away inside.

Throughout the entire process, the three remained emotionless and silent.

"This is her elixir," Thunderbird said, pulling two crystal bottles from Acromantula's space props.

"Exactly one and a half bottles. The three of us get equal shares."

He took the half bottle for himself without hesitation.

Thunderbird tossed the whole bottle to Golden Snidget and said, "Divide these between yourselves."

Seeing this, Golden Snidget nodded coolly.

Despite a former colleague having just died, he felt no guilt or unease.

After all, it was all tied to their wealth and survival.

They could still use this news to their advantage before it spread.

Once the other factions caught wind of problems with the park's raw materials and the Augurey, they might turn against them.

But Golden Snidget muttered that continuing like this wasn't a long-term option.

Even if they eliminated the other groups, the recovered potions would only last them two or three years.

They still needed to find new raw material sources.

Thinking this through, Golden

Snidget Feixia pinned his remaining hope on the Ministry of Magic.

As for the lost ingredients and revenge against whoever was responsible? He was no longer young enough to act on impulse.

Besides, since the enemy was targeting the club, they had to be cautious. Reckless moves would only lead to more casualties.

"Don't zone out now."

Thunderbird interrupted Golden Snidget's thoughts.

"This is just the first batch. We still have work ahead, and who knows how many potions we can recover today."

Thunderbird focused on the Ashwinder, lowering her chin.

It seemed the Ashwinder sensed someone trying to enter the headquarters again, clearly another urgent summons.

"I understand. Let's keep going," Golden Snidget said coolly.

"Today's our best, and last, chance. Once the news spreads tomorrow, they'll be ready for us."

Just as the German wizarding world was buzzing with excitement over Andre's impressive feat, a bitter family feud was unfolding within the silver wand Club, and somehow the club was being unfairly blamed for it.

That day, Thunderbird and Golden Snidget launched surprise attacks right in the reception room of the club's headquarters, killing three members without much effort, all to fight for their own space to survive.

In a group as seemingly harmless yet fiercely selfish as the silver wand, collapse was just a matter of time.

Even those who cared about the club's growth wouldn't hesitate to draw their knives when personal interests were at stake.

Honestly, if given the chance, most of the other members would probably do the same.

Meanwhile, Golden Snidget, who had been busy all day, was exhausted and slumped on the sofa, confused and frustrated.

He couldn't understand why so much bad news kept piling up in just one month, nearly tearing apart what used to be a thriving club.

But there was no time to dwell on it.

Tomorrow's hearing was the biggest challenge he had to face.

He could already predict that the opposition would attack him under the pretense of civil society affairs.

Still, Pete assessed the power he had on his side.

The three directors of magic, along with a large group of management wizards under their command, controlled more than half the Ministry of Magic's resources.

With their backing, baseless accusations wouldn't shake his foundation.

As for the Wizengamot judges, Pete saw them as fair-weather friends, ready to side with whoever seemed stronger.

Just like today, although those wizard families were indifferent toward him, they didn't dare oppose him outright; they preferred to wait and see how things unfolded.

Maybe it was the pressure getting to him, but despite everything, Pete's thoughts remained optimistic.

The key was that Alex's plan had compressed every step into a tight schedule.

The people rescued yesterday would face trial publicly tomorrow.

Golden Snidget hadn't been given much time to react, and the confidentiality around the case was handled very carefully, almost too carefully.

That made Golden Snidget uneasy, but he didn't seem to be in the worst position after all.

The next day, at the Ministry of Magic, everything was about to come to a head.

Pete arrived at the Ministry early that morning, his brow furrowed as he stared at a copy of the day's newspaper lying in front of him.

The headlines focused once again on the wizards involved in the park incident, detailing the many hardships and tortures the victims had endured in prison.

The article fiercely condemned the silver wand for its cruelty.

If things didn't change soon, the club's reputation in Germany would be completely ruined, making it nearly impossible to attract new members under that name.

Pete felt helpless. After all, the silver wand wasn't exactly an official organization, so there was no way to defend it publicly.

If he tried to speak in its favor now, he'd likely be met with nothing but scorn.

Just then, Michelle knocked and entered.

"Master, the public inquiry hearing is about to start. It's being held in the first courtroom," she informed him.

"Understood," Pete replied, instantly regaining his serious demeanor.

He then urged Michelle, "Make sure all the supervisors from every department are called in. We need to get through this together."

Michelle gave a confident nod.

"Don't worry, I've already sent the notifications. Everyone's behind you, and no one will let this incident hurt you."

Pete felt a bit of relief and said, "Alright, let's go."

As he stepped out of his office, dozens of wizards were already waiting outside, chiefs and deputy directors from the three magical divisions, along with heads and directors of various departments.

Leading this impressive group, Pete strode confidently toward the first courtroom, using his presence to show his authority and influence.

By the time they arrived, the courtroom was packed.

Judges of the Wizengamot filled the seats, representatives from major wizarding families watched closely, Alex was present, and numerous reporters from the magical media were there to cover the event.

Everyone exchanged surprised glances at the sight of Pete bringing out more than half of the Ministry's leadership.

The representatives from those wizarding families looked at Edmond with a hint of guilt.
