Chapter 571 - Storm Over The Ministry Of Magic

That very night, a massive storm was quietly brewing, one that would soon shake the entire German Ministry of Magic.

Meanwhile, Pete, the other person involved in all this, was still sound asleep in his home, lost in a peaceful dream.

It wasn't until the next morning that a loud knock on the door woke him up.

Half-awake, Pete opened the door to find Michel, the head of the Department of Magical Accidents and Disasters, who was also known to be quite the troublemaker at the club, standing there anxiously, clutching a newspaper and pounding on the door.

Seeing Pete, Michel hurriedly blurted out, "Something's happened! There's trouble at the club!"

Pete frowned as he glared at the person yelling loudly in the hallway.

"What are you shouting about here? This is a public place, you can't just scream the club's name like that."

After glancing around to make sure no one else was nearby, he quickly pulled Michelle into a quiet room.

"Calm down and tell me slowly, what's going on? If something serious happened at the club, I would've heard about it already."

Michelle looked awkward and hesitant, struggling to find the right words.

"Just read this yourself, I can't explain it properly."

Surprised, Pete took the paper and immediately froze at the bold headline on the front page: "The Savior of the German Magic World Revealed: Andre Bravely Rescues Thousands of Innocent Wizards!"

The title sounded wildly exaggerated, but as Pete read the article, his shock only grew.

The report described how two men named Nathan had gone to the Ministry of Magic the night before to ask for help.

In response, Andre led the Aurors in a daring rescue mission, freeing many imprisoned wizards.

The article included interviews with survivors, all pointing fingers at the Silver Wand Dueling Club.

According to the story, the club was actually a smuggling ring, illegally holding magical creatures and imprisoning wizards without cause.

Worse, they supposedly used cruel brainwashing techniques on their captives.

The article claimed that if not for the brave wizards who escaped and Andre's intervention, the consequences would have been catastrophic.

Michelle looked frantic.

"What's going on here? Didn't you say the parks were attacked and that magical creatures and people were lost? How are those same people now caged by the club? Did you kill them? Were you lying to us this whole time? And now the Aurors have taken over the club?"

Pete's mind raced as he tried to piece everything together.

The truth seemed far more complicated than he had imagined.

"You're asking me? Who am I supposed to ask?" Pete frowned as he glanced at the newspaper, his face twisted with anger.

"There's no way the club did this! We spent over ten years building that park. Why would we ruin our own hard work? Something doesn't add up."

Michelle wasn't convinced that Pete or the club was responsible either.

After all, Pete had been busy dealing with attacks on the park recently, and Michelle had noticed how stressed he was.

"If it's not you, then all these people captured by the silver wand, could someone be pretending to be part of the club?" Michelle wondered aloud.

Pete nodded thoughtfully.

"That's possible. Could Andre be behind it? But no, that doesn't fit his personality. He's not the type to sneak around or harm civilians. Handling a few hundred prisoners would take serious resources and planning."

He kept scanning the article, searching for clues.

Then his eyes caught a detail: "These people are being held by the Schmidt family now. Maybe they're opposing the club?

With their money, they could pull this off, but how did they get in? Did they sneak into the park?

Was there some kind of collusion? Or is the Schmidt family's hidden power stronger than we thought?"

The flood of information made Pete's head spin.

So many possibilities raced through his mind, even suspicion.

A new idea struck him.

Could the attack have come from inside the silver wand themselves?

Or maybe some members of the silver wand were working with outsiders?

Pete knew how tight the park's security was; it wouldn't be easy to break in quietly.

And rounding up that many people and magical creatures in just a few days, without any preparation, seemed impossible.

Even though Andre had disappeared for two or three days, Pete never seriously suspected him.

He believed he understood Andre's behavior well enough to know he wasn't the type to play tricks.

If Andre had found out about the club's breeding base, he'd have sent Qi Renma straight to point A without hesitation.

But after thinking it over for a long time, Pete still wasn't sure what was really going on.

So, he told Michelle, "I don't have the full picture yet. You should head back to the Ministry of Magic and look into it.

I'll come by later."

Michelle was confused too.

Michelle had joined the club hoping for some easy benefits but never expected things to get this complicated.

He could already see that if this incident got out, the silver wand would be ruined in Germany.

But by this point, Michelle realized he was too deep into this mess to back out now, so he reluctantly agreed.

After Pete drove Michelle away, he went straight back to his bedroom.

But then, someone else appeared in the room.

This person was dressed in a Silver Wand uniform but wasn't wearing a mask.

He looked very young, maybe around 30, but if you looked closely, you could see he shared a lot of similarities with Pete, almost like a younger version of him.

"This whole thing is too strange," Pete said seriously, staring at the figure.

"I'm sure there are hidden forces involved that we don't know about. I have to go back to the Ministry of Magic and investigate."

Without waiting for a response, he added, "Don't just stand there. Go back to headquarters and contact every spear you can find.

We need to discuss this immediately."

"It's not the right time for a meeting. They probably won't respond," the figure answered in a voice identical to Pete's, as if Pete was talking to himself.

Pete frowned, clearly frustrated.

"I can't control that many people right now!"

"Call as many as you can. I suspect something's seriously wrong inside the club. This is a big problem."
