Meanwhile, Augurey and her group were hurrying north to rest.
Although she had only granted a few hours' break, many wizards had already pitched their travel tents and settled inside to catch some sleep.
Others gathered around campfires to keep warm and prepare hot meals.
In this freezing, snowy landscape, nothing felt better than a steaming pot of soup.
At the same time, under the command of Sound Bird, the accompanying American collaborators used the break to tend to the magical creatures, feeding them potions and covering their iron cages with straw or cotton cloth to protect them from the cold.
The magical animals were clearly suffering in this harsh environment, curling up tightly for warmth.
"Good thing we're taking a break now. Some of the magical creatures were already showing signs of hypothermia. If we hadn't caught it in time, they might have frozen to death right here," Sound Bird told Augurey, still shaken.
"It's good we got out alive and can rest for a bit," Augurey replied casually.
However, unlike the others who took this time to rest, she stood watchfully at the edge of the camp, her gaze tense and alert.
She couldn't shake off a growing sense of dread.
Every minute spent in Finnmark County seemed to deepen her ominous premonition, forcing her to forgo rest and stay vigilant.
Seeing her anxiety, Sound Bird could only shake his head helplessly.
"Are you still worried about those Pure Land Society members? They wouldn't just show up here in this freezing wind for no reason..."
Suddenly, an urgent voice broke through the quiet: "Not good!!!"
Just as Sound Bird was voicing his complaints, Augurey's expression suddenly shifted, as if she'd spotted something alarming.
She shouted to everyone, "Enemy attack! Everyone, get ready and protect the magical creatures!"
Sound Bird was caught off guard by Augurey's urgent yell.
He couldn't sense any enemy himself, but he trusted Augurey's instincts. She wouldn't raise the alarm without good reason.
Acting quickly, Augurey drew her wand and moved toward the Fantastic Beasts convoy, signaling the nearby wizards to do the same.
Just then, a deep, cold voice echoed through the camp.
"Who's playing ghost now?"
The wizards, already on edge from Augurey's warning, tensed up at the sudden challenge.
Sound Bird's face tightened as he shouted into the air, "Stay calm! The enemy hasn't reached us yet."
"Don't get ahead of yourself," Augurey shot back.
She fixed her gaze on the southern bushes with a grim expression.
"Stop that spell!" Augurey yelled, waving her wand.
She sent a magic bullet flying toward the bushes.
After traveling a good distance, it exploded, sending ripples through the air and tearing open a shimmering barrier.
Behind the broken space film, a group of figures emerged. It was the Jacobsen family.
"What? They're already this close? How did I not sense them?" Sound Bird muttered, stunned by the sudden reveal.
Augurey's face darkened beneath her mask.
"Because there are experts among them," she said grimly.
Despite her careful precautions, she hadn't expected to be targeted by the Pure Land Society so directly.
Her eyes locked on Seth Jacob.
"Seth Jacob, I thought you'd learned better at Durmstrang. Why are you here? Looks like we didn't start this fight, after all."
In that moment, Augurey realized just how serious the situation had become.
As Durmstrang's Potions Professor, she was well aware of the headmaster's skills and reputation.
She also knew that, although Seth came from the Jacobsen family of the Pure Land Society, as the principal of Durmstrang, he rarely left the school grounds.
That gave her the confidence to take the risk of crossing the Finnmark County transport route.
But despite all her careful planning, she hadn't expected to be targeted by this old man.
'What was going on? How could he pinpoint their location so precisely?'
"Hey, I didn't think someone would recognize me," Seth said with a cold grin.
"Looks like you're not as ordinary as you seem."
His eyes then sharpened with hostility as he glared at Augurey.
"Why am I here? Do I really need to answer such a foolish question? You pests, with your silver wands, daring to set foot on Norwegian soil, that's the biggest insult to my Jacobsen family!"
Without wasting any more words, Seth raised his hand and fired a killing curse.
"Avada Kedavra!"
As soon as Seth unleashed the Killing Curse, chaos erupted across the camp.
Spells flew in every direction: "Avada Kedavra!"
"Incendio!"
"Diffindo!"
"Protego!"
"Petrificus Totalus!"
A storm of deadly spells filled the air.
These weren't inexperienced students from magic schools. They were hardened villains, seasoned in battle.
Their attacks were ruthless, and the spells they cast were lethal.
There were no stunners or disarming charms like those used by Aurors or apprentices, only spells meant to kill.
Among the most vicious were the Death Eaters, werewolf wizards, and members of the Pure Land Society, all throwing spells with a ferocity that suggested they wanted nothing less than to destroy their foes.
Facing Seth's Killing Curse, Diricawl kept her wand steady.
Instantly, the ground before her melted away, and a thick stone wall rose up, shielding her.
The Silver Wand dueling club's reputation wasn't for nothing. Their members were all skilled duelists. Diricawl instinctively created a solid physical barrier to block the deadly Avada Kedavra, knowing it couldn't be stopped by a mere Protego.
But while she was a master duelist, others on her side weren't so fortunate. Almost immediately, two wizards beside her fell, struck down by the Jacobsens' Killing Curse.
Casting a quick glance around, Diricawl saw the fear gripping her allies. Without proper cover, many had become timid under the relentless barrage of spells. Some even cowered behind the iron cage housing a magical creature.
Meanwhile, the Pure Land Society members, taking advantage of the nearby trees, boldly cast their spells from cover like mad dogs snapping at their prey. Though the distance caused many spells to miss, their confidence made them relentless.
"Use Transfiguration to create cover! Stop hiding behind the cage, idiots!" Diricawl shouted urgently, trying to rally her side and push them to hold their ground.
For Augurey, the lives of wizards were expendable. No matter how many fell, it didn't matter. But the magical creatures she protected were priceless and could never be lost.
After receiving her warning, many wizards realized this and quickly used Transfiguration spells, raising barriers to shield themselves from the deadly Killing Curses flying their way.
Seth's anger flared when he saw the Silver Wand on the other side showing such blatant disrespect.
"You still have the nerve to talk while fighting me? You're asking for death!" he sneered.
