Gardevoir was stunned when he heard Evan say that Necrozma was a Psychic-type Pokémon.

Not only Gardevoir, but Gallade too.

"Necrozma is the ruler of Ultra Space, and his status is almost equal to Arceus," Evan explained.

"It feeds on light."

"What you see on the mural is its final form after combining with Lunala and Solgaleo," Evan said, pointing at the figure on the mural.

Listening to Evan, the three Pokémon were shocked.

Could it really be that powerful?

And it's also a Psychic type.

For Psychic-type Pokémon, mythical creatures of their kind are revered. If Mew appeared near Gardevoir, it might just transform into an ardent follower. After all, in the Psychic Pokémon worldview, the stronger the psychic energy, the higher the status.

Evan glanced around the room.

He searched for secret passages or hidden features.

Even after using Psychic, he couldn't find anything special.

This meant that the most valuable items here were likely collected by someone before him.

Given the age of the place, many things had oxidized and eroded over time.

After finishing the exploration, Evan snapped some photos and left the underground palace.

Its purpose remained unknown.

The mural showed Necrozma being defeated by Arceus and several other Pokémon. Aside from this, there wasn't much to decipher.

Despite his curiosity, there was little else Evan could learn.

After finishing up, Gardevoir teleported him out of the palace.

Back at the lake, Evan immediately removed his shoes to clean them.

To be honest, the entire venture had been tiring and seemed like a waste of resources.

Gallade and Gardevoir followed, washing the mud off their feet in the lake.

Marshadow observed Evan and Gallade quietly.

Deep in thought, Marshadow perched on a stone, pondering its next step.

Would it join Evan?

Conflicted, it continued to deliberate.

Meanwhile, Evan finished cleaning and tossed his shoes near a fire to dry.

Barefoot, he pulled out a fishing rod.

Fishing by the lake, Evan dreamed of catching a golden Magikarp. Where there's water, there are fish, and he wouldn't miss the opportunity.

Gallade wandered off into the nearby forest.

Meanwhile, Gardevoir began to work on persuading Marshadow, not forgetting their shared mission: to convince Marshadow to join them.

Gardevoir began speaking to Marshadow with a serious and convincing tone.

Marshadow listened intently, its curiosity piqued. It began asking questions about Evan, an inquisitive look crossing its face.

Hearing this, Gardevoir was honest and transparent, explaining everything about Evan's situation.

Evan overheard the conversation between the two Pokémon. From Marshadow's tone, he could tell that it was intrigued, even moved by what Gardevoir was saying.

It seemed Marshadow was seriously considering joining them. This filled Evan with anticipation.

If Marshadow truly decides to join me, he thought, I could be a mythical Pokémon Trainer. How amazing would that be?

Quietly, Evan cheered for Gardevoir while absently continuing to fish.

Suddenly, a loud noise echoed from the distant forest—a resounding "boom."

A split second later, the unmistakable roar of a Dragonite filled the air.

Startled, Evan immediately dropped his fishing rod and stood up.

"Gallade, let's go!" he called out.

Gallade, understanding the urgency, appeared at Evan's side with Teleport. The two vanished in an instant.

Gardevoir, still engaged in its conversation with Marshadow, froze at the interruption. Quickly realizing the gravity of the situation, it grabbed Marshadow and followed with Teleport.

After several swift teleports, Evan and his Pokémon arrived at the source of the commotion.

There, Dragonite was locked in combat with a Hydreigon. Three middle-aged men stood behind Hydreigon, commanding their Pokémon.

Surrounding the Hydreigon were other powerful Pokémon, locked in fierce battle.

Evan's expression darkened upon seeing the scene.

"These guys… Gallade, let's deal with them!" he snapped. "Gardevoir, you're just in time. Use Shattered Psyche!"

Fury boiled inside Evan as he saw his Pokémon struggling against these aggressors. These strangers were clearly up to no good.

If I don't stop them now, when will I? he thought. Maybe I'll even get rewarded for capturing them.

The three men's expressions shifted to shock as Evan's words rang out.

Sensing Evan's arrival, Pikachu and the other Pokémon immediately broke away from the battle, retreating behind Evan for safety.

Gallade and Gardevoir leapt into action without hesitation.

This fight wasn't bound by any formal rules, so Evan didn't hesitate to order attacks on the trainers themselves.

The sudden appearance of two champion-level Pokémon made the enemy hesitate. But Gallade and Gardevoir showed no mercy.

Gallade, seething with anger, struck with calculated precision. Its frustration was palpable—its teammates had been attacked, and it wasn't about to let that go unpunished.

Meanwhile, Gardevoir radiated a fierce determination, launching psychic attacks that overwhelmed the opposition.

The battle was swift, but the anger and power behind Evan's team were undeniable.

Z-Energy erupted from Gardevoir's body, sending a powerful attack directly at the group of men below.

The terrifying Shattered Psyche radiated outward, exploding with immense force.

Above, the battle in the sky raged on. Hydreigon, witnessing its trainer under attack, roared furiously and tried to rush to their aid.

But Dragonite wasn't about to allow that.

With a cold snort, Dragonite surged forward, slamming Hydreigon with a devastating Dragon Tail, sending it hurtling through the air.

As the overwhelming Shattered Psyche erupted, the three men's Pokémon sensed the immense threat. Instinctively, their remaining Pokémon emerged from their Poké Balls, attempting to shield their trainers.

Each one activated Protect in desperation, forming layers of barriers.

"Boom!"

The deafening sound echoed through the forest, shaking the earth and sky.

Frightened by the commotion, wild Pokémon scattered in all directions. Even those deep in their nests bolted from the area in panic.

Elsewhere in the forest, trainers engaged in their own training sessions heard the explosion. Many turned to their Pokémon for guidance, instructing them to lead the way toward the source of the disturbance.

Rumors had spread recently about poachers causing chaos in Trackless Forest. Some trainers had even earned rewards for capturing these criminals.

"This must be poachers, right?" whispered one trainer to another, sprinting toward the noise. "Even if it's not, they'll be fined for damaging the forest if we report it."

Motivated by the prospect of justice—or perhaps rewards—more and more trainers rushed to the scene, eager to see what was unfolding.
