The woman held the car door with her hand and spoke to Michael with a slight smile on her face.

Michael was a little surprised but quickly composed himself. His calm demeanor seemed to catch the woman off guard.

"That depends on whether I'm speaking to Natasha or the Black Widow." Michael said with a smile, openly admiring her without any attempt to hide it.

She truly lived up to her reputation. Her figure and appearance were exceptional. Although getting involved with such a woman might be risky, the thought of a more physical connection was tempting.

Natasha smiled easily, "I figured you'd know who I am. So, how do you want me to approach this conversation? As Natasha or the Black Widow?"

"Just as a woman, that would be ideal."

"If you hadn't just stolen this car, I might've been inclined to talk to you simply as a woman. After all… you are quite intriguing."

"Women really are practical." Michael shrugged with disappointment.

Her meaning was clear. Michael's mysterious identity and background, combined with the fact that he had committed robbery, left her unable to treat him as just any man. She had to remain cautious.

"I'm curious about your background and abilities. It's impressive that you absorbed the Extremis virus and are still walking around unharmed. Especially when there's no trace of you in any records—like you appeared out of nowhere. So, Michael, no matter who I am, I think we need to have a proper conversation." Natasha said seriously.

Michael glanced over at Skye's car, indicating that he had no intention of leaving just yet. He nodded, "How could I refuse such a kind invitation from a beautiful woman? Especially since… I've been wanting to meet you."

"You know me, but why?" Natasha asked curiously.

Michael looked at her and smirked, "It's better if I don't explain that."

"Of course. All men are the same—never fully trustworthy." Natasha rolled her eyes playfully.

There was a bar nearby. Since it was daytime, it was almost empty. Michael and Natasha sat in a secluded corner.

"To be honest, I wasn't sure who would come after me. But I didn't expect it to be you!" Michael took a sip of his drink, smiling, "I don't usually resist beautiful women, so ask whatever you want. I'll answer as best I can."

"I'm flattered. So, Michael, can you tell me who you really are?" Natasha asked with a grin.

"My name is Michael, and I'm originally from XX. The reason there's no information on me is simple: I didn't exist in this world before. I think you're familiar with cases like that—people who don't leave a trace."

"But now, I want to live the life I choose. There might not have been any records before, but there certainly will be in the future."

Natasha nodded, her suspicions softening slightly. She knew people like him, those without an identity, often had exceptional backgrounds. His statement also suggested that he didn't intend to stay hidden forever.

"And what about your abilities? You absorbed the Extremis virus. That's not something just anyone can do. The virus is notoriously unstable. If the wrong people find out you've stabilized it, you know the consequences," Natasha warned.

Michael chuckled, "Are you about to suggest I run to S.H.I.E.L.D. for protection?"

"That's not what I meant, but if you're interested, S.H.I.E.L.D. would be happy to have you." Natasha replied with a smile.

"Maybe someday, but not now." Michael waved off the offer, "My abilities aren't that special. As long as I'm not causing harm, it shouldn't matter what I can do. Besides, I doubt I pose much of a threat to you. In fact, you could always… recruit me to your side."

Michael's eyes trailed down, making his meaning clear.

Natasha raised an eyebrow, "I always thought men were more reserved, but it seems I was wrong."

Michael stood, leaving some cash on the table, "That's enough for today. Here's my number. I'm sure you'll find a reason to use it—whether it's for professional reasons or personal ones." He smiled, reciting a phone number before walking away.

Natasha watched him leave, frowning slightly.

"His identity and purpose are unclear. He knows more than he should about S.H.I.E.L.D. and superheroes. His abilities are unpredictable; he seems capable of absorbing and stabilizing the Extremis virus. Right now, I can't determine whether he's a threat. Recommend close observation." Natasha whispered, touching her earpiece.

"Seems like he's interested in you. Use that to your advantage. Find out everything you can, and if necessary… act." A voice replied in her ear.

Natasha frowned, recalling Michael's smooth and flippant attitude. This wasn't going to be easy.

Natasha wasn't thrilled about the task, but she didn't entirely mind it either. She had to admit that Michael was quite charming. She'd met her fair share of men, but Michael was easily the most captivating.

After leaving the bar, Michael didn't immediately seek out Skye. He knew Natasha would be following him, and he didn't want to risk exposing his intentions too early.

If Skye's true identity was discovered because of him, it could ruin any chance of her joining S.H.I.E.L.D. Besides, the battle of New York had just ended, and Coulson hadn't been "resurrected" yet, meaning the team formation wasn't imminent. There was no rush.

So, for the next week, Michael treated life like a vacation, spending his time in relaxation. He enjoyed himself thoroughly, while Natasha grew more frustrated. She had tailed him for days but found nothing. Michael didn't use any of his powers or make any suspicious contacts. He seemed like an ordinary tourist. Although she suspected he was trying to throw her off, she eventually had to give up.

As soon as Natasha backed off, Michael felt a weight lift off his shoulders. While he had enjoyed his little break, he hadn't come to this world just to play around. At least, not yet.

Now that Natasha was out of the picture, Michael was ready to make his move with Skye.

Although he had been on vacation, Michael hadn't completely lost focus. He had been keeping tabs on Skye, even having a brief conversation with her at a café, though he kept it short with Natasha still watching.

Night had fallen quietly.

As Skye left a restaurant, Michael stepped hard on the accelerator, intentionally crashing into her car.

"Oh, no..."

Skye turned just in time to see the rear of her car dented from the collision.

"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. Is this your car? I'll cover the repairs." Michael said apologetically as he stepped out of his vehicle.

Skye was initially upset, but when she recognized Michael, her expression softened in surprise, "It's you!"

Michael pretended to be confused, "Do we know each other?"

"Yeah! I spilled your coffee in the café a few days ago, remember? I'm Skye." she explained.

Michael feigned realization and smiled, "Oh, right! I remember now. What a coincidence. I'm Michael."

"First I spill your coffee, and now you crash into my car? You're not holding a grudge, are you?" Skye teased.

Michael shrugged, "Just an accident."

"Well, at least your car is worse off than mine," Skye noted, eyeing his severely damaged sports car. Repairing it would definitely cost more than her own vehicle.

"Do you know any nearby repair shops? Let's get these fixed."

"Let me check." Skye fiddled with her phone, then shook her head, "No repair shops close by, but I've called one. Someone should be here soon."

"Sorry again." Michael said with a sincere expression.
