Chapter 215 - CA [215]: Servants

Berserker Frankenstein was being relentlessly pursued and struck by Mordred, her body already battered. Her defeat was only a matter of time. Lancer Vlad III was suppressed by his fellow Lancer, Karna, unable to pierce Karna's defenses or deal meaningful damage. However, Vlad's high parameters, bolstered by his fame in Romania, allowed him to hold his ground as long as Karna didn't unleash his Noble Phantasm. Meanwhile, Caster Avicebron remained inside the castle, controlling his golems and tirelessly producing more to serve as cannon fodder.

The other servants had all fallen. The captured Berserker had been dealt with by Altair, Assassin was cut down by Mordred, Saber had taken her own life, and Rider had been beheaded by Altair in a single strike. The Black Faction's forces were critically depleted.

In this dire situation, Semiramis saw no reason to keep the Hanging Gardens idling as a spectator. She maneuvered the aerial fortress toward Yggdmillennia's castle, intent on seizing the Greater Grail.

With Amakusa Shirou Tokisada, Caster Shakespeare, and the Hanging Gardens, a super-fortress, at her side, taking the Greater Grail from a mere castle seemed effortless.

It was time to bring this war to its final chapter.

As Semiramis guided the Hanging Gardens toward Yggdmillennia's castle, the other servants reacted swiftly, recognizing that the Red Faction was making its final move.

The Black Faction, frankly, was gripped by despair. The odds were heavily stacked against them, but despair wouldn't help. They had to muster every ounce of strength to defeat their enemies.

Altair saw through Semiramis's plan and made his decision. Instead of continuing his futile clash with the unyielding Jeanne, he would head to Yggdmillennia's castle and secure the Greater Grail before Amakusa could. The Greater Grail wasn't a living entity, so he could store it in his spatial pocket. During a prior reconnaissance of the castle, Altair had located the Grail, but the ritual hadn't been complete then, rendering it unresponsive. Now, based on Amakusa's actions in the original plot, the conditions for making a wish should be met.

The Greater Grail was his for the taking!

Lowering his presence, Altair transformed into his draconic form, sprouting wings and skimming the ground to reach the castle swiftly. By the time he arrived, the Hanging Gardens had only covered half the distance.

Altair slipped through a secret passage he'd discovered earlier, descending to the underground lake where the massive Greater Grail stood, a spherical structure adorned with statues of three goddesses. He touched it and stowed it in his spatial pocket.

Perfect, the Greater Grail was his!

After securing it, Altair immediately left the castle. As he departed, the Hanging Gardens reached Yggdmillennia's castle. At Amakusa's command, Semiramis unleashed a beam of light, blasting a hole through the castle's center.

The Black Faction's magi within the castle bombarded the Hanging Gardens with spells, but their attacks couldn't even scratch its defenses. They were utterly ineffective.

Against the power of servants, ordinary magi stood no chance.

In this situation, only the strength of servants could turn the tide.

The Black Faction urgently recalled all their servants to stop the Red Faction, while the Red Faction converged on the castle to claim the Greater Grail.

But when the servants arrived, they found only a gaping hole where the Greater Grail should have been. The underground lake was empty.

"How is this possible? I sensed the Greater Grail right there!" Amakusa exclaimed, staring at the scene displayed by Semiramis from the Hanging Gardens' control room, his eyes wide with shock.

On the ground, Darnic, the leader of the Black Faction's magi, gaped at the massive crater.

"Where's my Grail? Where's my massive Greater Grail?!"

Darnic leaned over the pit's edge, peering left and right, desperate to spot the Greater Grail. Before this climactic battle, he had checked on it himself. It had been lying there, its location known only to him, hidden even from his own faction's servants.

But now, the enormous Greater Grail was gone, just vanished! How could something so massive disappear without a trace?

Amakusa shared the same disbelief. As a Ruler, he had sensed the Greater Grail's presence before, but now it was undetectable. Something that large couldn't simply vanish, which left one possibility: Darnic had used some special method to hide or relocate it.

"I underestimated them. To think they'd set such a trap, it's beyond what I anticipated."

Using the Greater Grail as bait required audacity.

"Assassin, attack with full force! No matter where they've hidden the Greater Grail, it's still on this land. I refuse to believe we can't find it by turning this place upside down!"

"Understood, Master."

Semiramis, seated on her throne, pushed the Hanging Gardens to its maximum output.

Amakusa ordered the remaining Red Faction servants to unleash their full power, turning the battlefield into the stage for a final showdown.

So, the Black Faction wants to hide the Greater Grail? Fine, I'll wipe you all out, rendering your efforts meaningless!

Following orders, Achilles and Karna fought with unrestrained ferocity, while Darnic, enraged, commanded the Black Faction's servants to strike back. He was convinced the Red Faction had tampered with or stolen the Greater Grail, prompting their all-out assault.

With the Greater Grail gone, Vlad went berserk, attacking Karna with relentless but ineffective strikes.

Chiron, meanwhile, was locked in a fierce struggle with Achilles, neither yielding an inch.

The battlefield descended into chaos. Jeanne, caught in the fray, was at a loss. The Holy Grail War had taken a bizarre turn, leaving her unsure of her next move.

Outside the battlefield, Altair observed the pandemonium and shook his head.

"Forget it. Time to find Kairi."

Altair had no interest in joining the chaotic melee.

Transforming into his draconic form again, he spread his wings and glided away from the battlefield, seeking Kairi.

He found him atop a church in Trifas, standing beneath the bell tower, watching the distant battle. Landing, Altair wasted no time.

"Quick, Master! Have Mordred unleash her Noble Phantasm, take down Berserker, and regroup with us. This Holy Grail War is ours!"

"What? Arthur, why are you back? What's going on?" Kairi asked, bewildered.

Altair flashed a cryptic smile.

"I've got the Greater Grail."

Kairi's jaw dropped, and it took him a moment to stammer, "You… what?"

"I stole the Greater Grail. It's ready to grant wishes now. Tell Mordred to use her Noble Phantasm to cover her retreat, then we'll make our wishes together. The Grail's magical energy is enough for all three of us!"

A Holy Grail War could be won like this? Stealing the Grail first and dealing with the consequences later left Kairi dumbfounded. It was his first Holy Grail War, and he hadn't imagined it could be played this way.

"What's the hold-up? Hurry! Get Mordred back here. While the Red and Black Factions are tearing each other apart, they won't notice us. Let's make our wishes now!"

Altair's goal in this world was the Greater Grail, and he was eager to claim it. No one would stop him from being the first to board that ship.

"Oh… right!"

Kairi felt like he was dreaming. To think Altair had secured the Greater Grail, this Knight King was unreal! Joining this Holy Grail War was the luckiest break he'd ever had.

But there was no time for awe. Elated, he contacted Mordred through his Command Spells.

"Mordred, use your Noble Phantasm to finish your opponent and get back here! Arthur's got the Greater Grail, this war is ours!"

Hearing Kairi's voice, Mordred paused, then broke into a villainous grin.

"Hahaha, as expected of Father! Alright, here we go!"

She had been chasing Frankenstein for a while, and despite the Berserker's durability, she hadn't fallen. But now…

Crimson light erupted from Mordred's greatsword as her magical energy surged, signaling the release of her Noble Phantasm.

Seeing Mordred prepare her Noble Phantasm, Frankenstein's magical energy flared in response, golden lightning coiling around her hammer as she readied her own.

Mordred's power peaked first. She swung her crimson sword of light toward Frankenstein.

"Die!"

"Clarent Blood Arthur!!"
