The night air split open with a thunderous BOOM! as Kaela launched herself into the assassins' ranks.
Her claws ripped through the first man's chest before he even realized she had moved. Bone snapped, blood sprayed, and his mask clattered to the floor along with his head. The second barely had time to scream before Kaela's fangs clamped onto his throat, tearing a chunk of flesh away in a spray of crimson.
"WHAT THE HELL IS SHE?!" one assassin shrieked, stumbling backward.
"Hold formation—!" another barked, but his voice ended in a gargle as Kaela's claws slashed through his abdomen, spilling steaming entrails across the stone floor.
It was no longer a battle. It was slaughter.
