Back at the crowded area, everyone continued watching on in disbelief of what had been shown on TV.
Despite Lincoln's attempts to conceal it, Christina's identity had been fully exposed. Everyone now knew that she and Firestar were one in the same.
Her friends were gathered around in disbelief, trying to make sense of the situation.
"I can't believe it! Christina is a superhero!?" Rusty asked.
"More than that, she's a mutant!" Zach said.
"I can't believe she never told us!" Rusty said.
"Is it that hard to believe?" Liam rhetorically asked. "Mutants ain't the most welcome people in most places. Of course she's gonna hide it."
"That makes sense and all, but I still can't believe no one knew," Zach said. "You think Paige knew?"
"Ah don't know," Liam said.
"What about Lincoln?" Rusty asked. "Christina is his girlfriend, you think she hid it from him as well?"
"Not sure about that either," Liam said.
"Wait, where is Lincoln?" Zach asked, then turned to the only other present member of the friend group. "Hey Clyde! Where's Lincoln!?"
"I don't know," Clyde said. "He was here a second ago, now he's gone."
"Must have panicked and left the moment he saw Christina unmasked," Rusty said.
"But Lincoln left way before she got unmasked," Clyde said.
"Really?" Liam asked. "Guess that could hint that Lincoln knew about her secret identity."
"Well we should find him and check on him," Zach said.
"Yeah, let's go," Rusty said as he, Liam and Zach dispersed.
Clyde just stood around, still in disbelief, "What is even going on anymore?"
Chloe and Emma stood together in worry as they saw Christina. Even more knowing that she was Lincoln's current girlfriend.
"Will she be alright, Chloe?" Emma asked.
"I hope so," Chloe said. "I don't think Lincoln could handle anymore heartbreaks."
Among the Loud Sisters, a few of them were notably panicking. Those who knew about Christina's secret like Lucy, Luna, Luan, Lana and Lola were concerned for the younger girl's safety. Others like Lily, Lisa, Lynn and Leni could not believe their eyes.
"All this time Lincoln's been dating a superhero!?" Lynn asked. "Did he know!?"
"Does that matter right now?" Luna asked. "Christina's secret just got exposed on live TV!"
"The poor girl is going to be known as the local mutant," Luan said.
"Yeah, so?" Lynn asked.
"Lynn! Mutants aren't well liked!" Luna said.
"Yes, Christina is likely going to face a substantial amount of discrimination," Lisa pointed out, the girl then feeling awkward. "Truth be told, I do feel a little guilty since it was because of me that Otto turned out the way he did."
"Don't blame yourself for this, Lisa," Lana said. "You didn't make Doc Ock do that stuff to Christina."
"Yeah, it's not like you intended to turn an innocent man into a villain," Lynn said, this garnering her some glares. "What?"
"Lynn, has anyone ever told you that you have a remarkable way in which you articulate what's on your mind onto others?" Lisa sarcastically asked.
"...Is that a compliment, or an insult?" Lynn asked.
"Is Christina going to be okay?" Lily asked.
"We can only hope so," Lucy said.
Back at the Zhau Residence, Judy and Ken were seen watching everything having just unfolded on television.
"I know that girl," Judy said. "She's one of Stella's friends."
"Our daughter? Friends with a mutant?" Ken asked in worry.
"You think she knew?" Judy asked.
"Hard to say," Ken said.
"We should let het know," Judy said.
"Yes, I agree, we should," Ken confirmed.
The two got up from their couch and made their way toward their daughter's room.
"Stella? Honey?" Judy gently knocked on the door. "There's something we need to discuss."
"It's important," Ken said.
The two waited a bit, not hearing a response from the girl.
"Stella?" Judy asked. Upon still not hearing an answer, the woman began to grow anxious. "Stella!?" She barged into the room and to her massive concern, did not see her daughter. Just a note beside an open window. "STELLA!"
The girl in question was riding on her bike as fast as she could to where the fight was happening. Despite some pain she still felt from her broken ribs, she had no intention of slowing down.
"Don't worry Christina, I'm coming!" Stella urged as she pedaled faster.
At the fight location, Warren and Lincoln were seen facing off against one another. Warren was relishing in his opportunity to capture the hero while Lincoln kept a close eye on his foe. Of course he also had Doc Ock to worry about, so this fight wouldn't be easy.
"Why don't you make this easy for yourself, Spider-Man?" Warren said. "Surrender, and we promise that no one else will get hurt."
"Hey big bad wolf! I think you got me confused with some other red-colored figure!" Lincoln taunted.
"I am a Jackal, not a wolf," Warren corrected.
"Jackal, wolf, one way or another you look like you use a fire hydrant as your own personal bathroom," Lincoln mocked. "Though I'm probably the one to talk since people mistake me for a bug."
"How amusing, even now you choose to joke rather than accepting your fate," Warren said.
"Let us be quick about this," Otto said. "Research awaits."
"Of course..." Warren said as he immediately lunged at Lincoln.
"Whoa!" Lincoln leapt back, but Warren was quick to maintain his momentum and dashed in with a claw attack that scratched up Lincoln's chest, the boy leaping away to check the pain. "Dang, that smarts!"
Warren leapt to toward Lincoln to keep attacking, the boy quick to leap away, though nearly found himself open to an attack from Otto as the man slammed his metalic limb near the boy.
"Yikes!" Lincoln backflipped away and fired some webbing at Otto's face to blind him, then leapt in with a kick to Otto's chest that knocked him back. "You know, for a fellow guy with eight limbs, we could have really seen eye to eye!"
Warren dashed in to attack, trying to swipe at Lincoln. The boy was quick to dodge, but too a scratch across his face, leaving a big gash as Lincoln jumped back to keep his blood in.
"Gah! Come on!" Lincoln leapt away again, trying to put some distance between himself and Warren.
"You won't escape me, Spider-Man!" Warren shouted as he climbed up the building, with Otto not too far behind.
"I need to regroup," Lincoln swung away as more cameras tried to catch him, with Katherine leading the commentary.
"This is Katherine Mulligan, still at the scene of the fight!" Katherine began. "Spider-Man seems to be struggling against this sinister duo. But the fight has only started, and Spider-Man just may have a chance to turn this around!"
"Miss Mulligan!" The Cameraman said. "Wouldn't it be safer to get away from the action?"
"The viewers need to know what's going on," Katherine said, then called a radio. "Get me a helicopter, we'll take to the air!"
Lincoln kept swinging away, glancing back at the duo of Otto and Warren, neither man giving up the chase. "Geez, these guys are way too ambitious. What do they even want with me? Otto probably wants revenge, but who's this other guy anyway?"
"Spider-Man!" Warren shouted as he dashed in closer. "There's no point in running! I will have your blood!"
"What a freak!" Lincoln said as he tried webbing the canine creature. The Jackal was quick to dodge and continued his relentless pursuit. "Why do you want me so badly!? Who are you anyway!?"
"Someone who's research was lost, because of you!" Warren shouted as he went for another strike that Lincoln blocked.
"Me!? What did I do!?" Lincoln asked as he leapt back.
"You ruined my research!" Warren leapt up to knock Lincoln back. "But it's fine, once I get a sample of your blood, I can finish what I started!"
"You're really creeping me out!" Lincoln rolled back as he dodged another strike. "What a pain..."
During the fight, Christina had limped over to check on her boyfriend. Despite losing her mask and her identity compromised, she couldn't sit back and do nothing.
"Firestar!" Katherine ran to the girl. "Any comments on-?"
"Now isn't the time to talk!" Christina said while keeping her face away from the camera. "I gotta help Spider-Man!"
She immediately flew up with Katherine quickly turning to her cameraman, "Keep watch over Firestar!"
"Sure thing!" The Cameraman said.
Katherine looked up at the girl, curiosity brimming in her mind, "I feel like I may have seen her once or twice."
As Lincoln continued his counterattack, Warren had dodged and hit the boy with an uppercut, then dashed in to tackle and pin him down, attempting to keep Lincoln restrained.
"Hold still..." Warren extended his claws. "This will be painless...for me."
"Geez, ever hear of bedside manner!?" Lincoln shouted as he managed to break free and proceeded to kick Warren back. "Now-"
Otto then grabbed Lincoln from behind with his limbs, causing the boy to struggle briefly as his arms and legs were stretched out.
"Hey! I'm not detachable!" Lincoln shouted.
"Not yet..." Otto sinisterly stated.
"Okay, I'm definitely NOT recommending you guys as physicians!" Lincoln shouted. "I hope your medical license gets revoked Doc!"
"Be silent!" Otto warned.
"Keep him still, Octavius," Warren said as he approached with extended claws. "This will be quick."
Suddenly Christina had flown in and blasted Otto from behind, causing him to loosen his grip enough to allow Lincoln to escape.
Lincoln immediately used this opportunity to web Otto and fling him against Warren, knocking both men off of the rooftop.
"L...Spider-Man!" Christina flew over to check on him. "Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine, but you need to leave," Lincoln said. "Your mask is off! People are going to recognize you!"
"Let's be real, that camera got a good view of my face," Christina said. "Everyone knows it's me, but that doesn't mean I can't still fight! I'm not leaving you alone on this!"
"Are you sure?" Lincoln asked.
"Hey, this could be a good thing," Christina said as the two men crawled back onto the roof. "This is an opportunity to prove that being a mutant isn't bad! Just as we're capable of great danger, we're also capable of great good."
"Do you honestly believe that?" Otto asked as he made his presence known. "People are fickle and judgmental creatures. They're quick to walk all over anyone they deem a friend if it benefits them. The world already scorns you both, this changes nothing!"
"What world? You mean Jameson?" Lincoln asked. "That Picklepuss is just a salty old Boomer! He's as credible as anyone talking through their butt!"
"People love Spider-Man and Firestar!" Christina said. "Losing my mask changes nothing."
"No...but it does provide us with an opportunity," Otto said as Warren climbed back up as well. "You may have powers, but what of your friends and family?"
"Is that supposed to scare me?" Christina asked. "Just because you've seen my face, doesn't mean you know my name. As far as you know, I'm just some random girl."
"She is correct unfortunately," Warren said. "Of course, she can only protect her loved ones for so long."
"I'll take on Doc Ock," Lincoln said. "You can handle that Jackal creature."
"Who is he anyway?" Christina asked. "Why do you have a Jackal after you?"
"Feels like I'm fighting all kinds of mutated animals," Lincoln said. "The Vulture, The Lizard, Sabretooth, Toad, The Chameleon, Rhino, La Tigressa and even Doctor Octopus here, it's like a zoo made for supervillains."
"Come to think of it, that is kind of strange," Christina said. "A lot of your enemies just happen to be animal themed. Fitting since you're a spider."
"Excuse me, but is this a fight or a social get together?" Otto asked.
"Hey I'm not exactly eager to fight anyone," Lincoln said. "It would save Firestar and myself a lot of trouble if you two-"
Otto grabbed Lincoln by his neck using the limbs and aggressively flung him across some building tops.
"Hey you jerk!" Christina went to attack but Warren dashed in and grabbed the girl by the back of her neck. This prompted Christina to generate a lot of heat to burn Warren's hand, allowing her a free punch across his jaw.
"Stop moving!" Otto went to grab her, but the girl quickly flew up. He did manage to grab her leg in an attempt to pull her back down. "I'm not letting you escape!"
Lincoln had returned with a kick to Otto's back that caused him to release Christina as the villain went flying forward.
Warren attempted to strike but Christina flew in with a fire tackle that knocked the man back. "Let's see how tough you are when it's one on one!"
"Do not get cocky!" Warren said as he went to attack.
Most of the fight was on camera as everyone continued watching from back at the Astonishing Quest event.
James and Marta were still in disbelief, unable to process what they were seeing.
"James...what should we do?" Marta asked. Her husband had no response, he just continued staring in disbelief. "James! Answer me!"
"That's...it's her..." James said. "She's...her..."
"James, Marta!" Lynn Sr got their attention alongside his wife.
"Lynn! Rita!" Marta turned to the two in grief. "It's my daughter! She's there!"
"We can see," Lynn Sr said as he glanced at the TV. "Quite a little girl you have."
"I can't believe this..." James said. "This is horrible..."
"I know you're worried," Rita said. "But don't worry, she'll be fine."
"She'll be...what...?" James asked.
"James, we should go and check on her!" Marta said. "She's out there fighting those dangerous men! She's probably terrified!"
"She's terrified!?" James asked in disbelief.
"We'll drive you if you'd like," Rita said. "We know this might be a process, but we'll help you through it."
"Mom!" Luna called as she ran over with the others. "What can we do?"
"You can stay here where it's safe," Rita said.
"But mom!" Luna pleaded.
"Listen to your mother," Lynn Sr said. "I know you're all worried about Lincoln's friend, but going out there is dangerous."
"Where is Lincoln?" Rita asked.
"Pretty sure he's with Clyde and the others," Lana said. "He looked really bothered by this."
"I don't blame him," Lynn Sr said. "Look, just stay here, we're going to help the Valdezes out."
"How exactly?" Leni asked.
"Don't worry about us, just stay here," Rita said, then turned to Lynn. "Let's go dear."
"Right behind you," Lynn Sr said as he and Rita made their leave.
"I hope mom and dad will be alright," Luan said.
"...We should go too," Luna said.
"But they told us not to!" Lana said.
"I know, but I just can't ignore this," Luna said. "I won't make anyone come, but I gotta check this out. For Christina's sake."
"I'm with Luna on this, I don't want to leave this to chance," Luan said.
"That's the spirit, sis," Luna said.
"Luna, if you're going, then so am I," Sam said. "Benny too."
"Me!?" Benny asked.
"Well yeah, if Luan's going, you gotta go too," Sam said. "Don't tell me you're not man enough you wuss."
"H-hey!" Benny exclaimed. "I'm man enough!"
"Benny, don't risk your life just because Sam said that," Luna insisted. "You don't need to prove you're a man to me."
"Even so, as your boyfriend, I should go," Benny said.
"Right on," Sam said. "Alright, let's go hotwire a car!"
"...Sam, do we need to talk?" Luna asked.
Meanwhile Stella is still bike pedaling to the fight, though the girl had to stop at one point due to her ribs bothering her.
"Come on, I gotta endure..." Stella said as she kept going. "For Christina's sake. And Lincoln's too!"
Once she felt ready, she started pedaling again, increasing the speed and ignoring the pain to reach her friends in time.
Lincoln continued trying to apprehend Doc Ock, avoiding his tentacle attacks while firing his webs. Otto however was able to evade or occasionally block the webs as he found an opening to whack Lincoln through some glass.
Lincoln shook it off and saw that he was inside a Jewelry Store, and the alarm was blaring. "Sure can't wait for Jameson to spin this as me trying to rob a store in the middle of a fight."
Otto then grabbed Lincoln by the neck with his limbs. "Why do you resist? Just to delay the inevitable!?"
"Why are you stgill coming after me!?" Lincoln asked as he pried the limbs away. "Who is that guy!? Why are you two working together!?"
"You don't need to know," Otto said as he increased his efforts to bring Lincoln down.
"I think I do considering you're the ones trying to off me for no reason!" Lincoln zipped in with a punch to Otto's face that stunned the man.
"We just need your blood," Otto said. "We'd rather you be alive too. You're only making this difficult on yourself, and your friend."
"You mean my friend who's life you probably made more difficult!?" Lincoln asked as he went for another punch that sent Otto crashing against a wall. "Don't think I'll be forgiving you so easily for that!"
"She made her choice," Otto said as he pried himself off the wall using his limbs. "If she stayed out of my way, none of this would happen. It was you we wanted, so next time don't hide behind your friends if you don't want them getting hurt!"
"Don't hide...?" Lincoln clenched his fist and aggressively charged at Otto, tackling him through the wall of the building. "You're the one who went after her! So don't you tell me that I hid!" Lincoln used his webbing to slam Otto against the walls and ceiling a few times before aggressively flinging him out of the building though another wall.
Otto had landed on the roof of a nearby store. He was grateful that his limbs shielded most of the impact, but the man was still felt woozy from what Lincoln had done.
The boy swung over and landed near Otto, immediately trying to web him again, but Otto blocked with his limb and went for a piercing strike that Lincoln narrowly cartwheeled away from.
Lincoln leapt in and kicked the man through a nearby billboard, one that happened to feature Jameson smiling as Otto went straight through the teeth.
"Wow, nice improvement," Lincoln commented as he went to pursue Otto. "Now...where did you go?"
Meanwhile Warren is seen trying to claw at Christina, the girl keeping her distance as she blasted the mutated scientist back with her powers.
"You really are a joke without your buddy!" Christina went to attack again but Warren sidestepped and hit the girl with an uppercut.
"I wouldn't speak," Warren said. "I know of most of your fights, and I know that more often than not, you're the weak link on the team."
"Big talk coming from a guy who needed a partner to come close to wearing me down," Christina taunted. "Meanwhile neither one of you are a match for Spider-Man. After he beats up that walking cephalopod, he's taking you to the dog pound."
"And what will you do?" Warren asked, this understandably worrying Christina. "Even if you best us, what will become of you now that your identity is no longer secret?"
"I'll manage," Christina said. "I can still be Firestar. I can still save lives. I can still stop bad guys. Especially you!"
Christina tackled Warren and proceeded to burn the man, to which he clawed at her, prompting her to evade and blast him off the roof.
As Christina wiped away some sweat, she heard a sound overhead. She looked up to see an oncoming helicopter.
"Is that from the news team?" Christina wondered. "They really shouldn't have a helicopter here though."
Katherine was seen waving down the helicopter, "Hurry up! We need a better view on this fight!"
Suddenly Warren dashed in and grabbed the woman just as the helicopter got close, much to Christina's worry, "NO!"
"Excuse me, I'm Katherine Mulligan, demanding that you PUT MY DOWN!" the woman shouted as Warren ran off with her.
"I gotta save her!" Christina quickly flew to find Katherine.
As Lincoln continued battling Otto, he spotted Warren running off with Katherine, "What in the world!?" Otto attempted to sucker punch Lincoln, but the boy's senses alerted him as he grabbed the metal limb and flung him away.
Christina flew past her partner, "Spider-Man! Trouble!"
"I'm on my way!" Lincoln said as he quickly followed.
Meanwhile Lynn Sr and Rita were quickly driving toward the location of the battle while James and Marta remained in the backseat.
The mother of Christina was frantically checking the newsfeed for any updates on her daughter while James just sat in the backseat with a lost expression on his face.
"We're nearly there," Lynn Sr said.
"Try not to get too close," Rita said. "It's dangerous."
"I know honey, I won't be reckless," Lynn Sr said.
Rita turned to the backseat of the car, "How are you two handling this?"
"Huh?" Marta looked up, the woman still feeling frantic. "Oh um...fine, just fine...I think." She turned her attention to James. "What about you honey?"
"Christina...mutant..." James replied, the man still with a thousand-yard stare on his face.
"James, it'll be alright," Marta reassured as she gently rubbed his arm. "We'll get her home."
"Powers...Firestar..." James said.
"We'll worry about that later, right now I just want to make sure she's alright," Marta said.
"She's a strong girl, she's got this," Lynn Sr said. "Besides, she has Spider-Man there with her."
"It's so nice hearing you speak fondly of Spider-Man for a change," Rita said.
"Don't get me wrong, I still don't like him much," Lynn Sr said. "But so long as he's protecting Christina then-"
Suddenly Vanzilla's engine blew out, much to Marta's concern, "What's happening!?"
"Not again!" Lynn pulled over and stepped out of the car to check on the engine. "I pushed this car too hard. Not the first time it happened."
"This happened before?" Marta asked. "Who's your mechanic?"
"My daughter, Lana," Lynn Sr said.
"Lana?" Marta asked. "Is that the one with the guitar?"
"No, that's Luna," Lynn Sr corrected. "Lana's the small one with the red cap."
Marta raised her eyebrow in disbelief, "Isn't she four years old?"
"No, she's eight," Lynn Sr said. "Also, she's really good at fixing cars."
"I...don't know what to say about that," Marta replied.
"Look, point is that without my daughter, or a good mechanic, we're stuck," Lynn Sr said.
"Then...I'm walking!" Marta pulled her husband along. "Come on, James!"
"Hey wait up!" Lynn Sr said as he and Rita followed the two.
Warren continued running along with Katherine in his arms while Christina kept chasing.
"Hey! Get back here and fight like a man!" Christina called.
"What's wrong? Can't keep up?" Warren taunted as he leapt up some buildings.
"I'm so going to get you!" Christina warned as she readied a blast.
"Careful," Warren stopped to hold Katherine up by the back of her shirt. "You don't want to cause an accident, do you?"
"Oh you stupid, ugly jerk!" Christina shouted.
"I don't suppose you'd be willing to negotiate my freedom, would you Mr. Wolf Man?" Katherine asked.
"I'm a Jackal!" Warren shouted while holding his claws near Katherine's neck.
"Right, Jackal, of course," Katherine nervously replied. "I'd love to know more about them. It would be fun and educational for my viewers."
"I'd like to know more too," Christina said. "For starters, tell me your name, and what your goal is."
"Why don't you tell me your name first?" Warren asked.
"You think I'd tell you?" Christina replied.
Warren held his claws to Katherine's neck, "I think you might."
"Let's not get violent here," Katerine nervously insisted.
"You really should put that lady down," Christina warned.
"I will when you tell me what I want to know," Warren said.
"Why do you want to know my name?" Christina asked. "It won't do you any good. I'm a nobody."
"Fine...tell me who Spider-Man is then," Warren said.
"How should I know? He wears a mask," Christina said. "He and I keep our relationship professional."
Warren snarled at the girl as she prepared herself for trouble, "Something tells me you're not being very honest."
Fortunately for Christina, she could see Lincoln nearby at the corner of her eye. It looked like Warren did not notice yet, so Christina did what she could to buy time.
"Why do you want to know about Spider-Man?" Christina asked. "Considering he's my partner, I think I'm entitled to an explanation."
"What you're entitled to is this woman's death!" Warren was about to claw a terrified Katherine when Christina spoke up.
"Okay, okay! I'll tell you what you wanna know!" Christina urged.
Warren turned his attention back to Christina, a crooked smile appearing on his face, "Smart choice. Now, tell me all about Spider-Man."
"Spider-Man...he's..." Christina flashed a smile of her own. "Right above you, ready to kick your ass!"
"Huh?" Warren turned in time for Lincoln to kick him in the face and send him flying off the roof, freeing Katherine in the process.
"Down boy! Stay!" Lincoln said as he landed flawlessly. "Be a good doggy and leave that pretty news anchor alone!"
"I'm saved!" Katerine shouted in relief. "That was some fine hero work, Spider-Man. You're quite the charmer too. I just wish I caught that on camera."
"You might have," Christina pointed upwards. "There's a helicopter nearby."
"Miss Mulligan!" A man called. "Do you need any-HEY!"
Suddenly the helicopter was grabbed by one of Otto's limbs and aggressively flung across the city, the men quickly jumping off before the aviation vehicle crashed onto the streets below.
"Are you crazy!?" Lincoln shouted. "You could have killed someone!"
"It would be on your hands!" Otto called. "All because you chose not to cooperate."
"Okay, this is straight up manipulative!" Lincoln scolded.
"Call it what you will," Otto said as he landed nearby. "I'm just about done with this little charade."
"Listen, I tried to be nice and understanding given what you went through," Lincoln said. "But you're making it really hard to sympathize with you when you do these terrible things!"
"I do not need your sympathy," Otto said. "Sympathy will not get me what I want."
"I could get you what you need," Lincoln said, before Otto grabbed his neck with his claw.
"That's enough!" Otto warned. "I have had it with your mouth!"
"Spider-Man!" Christina shouted in worry before attempting to blast Otto. The man however shielded himself with his remaining limbs. "Crap!"
Thinking quickly, Lincoln fired some webbing at Otto's face, briefly blinding the man as he forced the limb away and then tackled him off the roof.
Meanwhile Marta kept running with James as she got closer to the fight, "Come on, I think it was around here!"
Warren, who was shaking off his hit, took note of the couple, "Perfect."
Marta kept running while pulling James along, "Almost there..."
As James and Marta got close, Warren dashed in and grabbed both by the neck, "Going somewhere!?"
"Hey!" Marta shouted.
This was heard by Christina as she turned her attention to the situation, "NO!"
"Christina, what's wrong!?" Lincoln asked, the boy then seeing the problem. "Oh crap!"
Warren laughed sadistically at the two, "You're now my prisoners!"
"Unhand us you brute!" Marta warned.
"Jackal!" Christina flew over to the villain, the man turning and holding the two by their necks. "Let them go!"
"You're in a very demanding mood today," Jackal said.
"And you're being very cowardly! Seriously, now you have two hostages!?" Christina shouted in disbelief. "Let them go, NOW!"
"After the last hostage negotiation, I don't think I will be this willing," Warren said. "I think I'll kill one just to let you know this is not humorous."
"Christina!" Marta called out in fear, this earning a confused reaction from Warren.
"Don't worry, I'll save you!" Christina said as she was about to fly in.
"Hold on..." Warren said, causing everyone to freeze. "Did this woman say...Christina? Is that your name?"
"So what?" Christina asked.
"This woman must know you personally then," Warren focused on Marta. "Who is she!?"
"That's my daughter!" Marta said. "Who are you!? And why are you hurting my little girl!?"
"Mom, just ignore him!" Christina pleaded.
"My, I feel lucky now," Warren said. "These are much better hostages than Katherine Mulligan."
Lincoln then flew in and kicked Warren in the chest, freeing the Valdez pair. "I don't think that family's looking to adopt any wild strays!"
"You're quite the confident one," Warren then tackled Lincoln and pinned him against a nearby car. "Too bad it will lead to your demise!"
Christina blasted Warren from behind, allowing Lincoln to kick him aside as he landed near Otto.
"Come on, let's finish this!" Christina said.
"Gladly," Lincoln replied.
Down the road, The Loud Sisters along with Benny and Sam were doing their best to make it to the fight on foot, through it proved to be an understandably exhausting task.
"My feet are aching!" Lola lamented. "How much longer till we get there?"
"Ha, how weak," Lynn said. "I'm barely breaking a sweat here."
"I wish Lela was here," Lily said as she was carried by Sam. "She could give us a ride."
"Says the girl who has a ride!" Lola shouted. She then leapt into Benny's arms.
"Hey!" Benny shouted in surprise.
"Be a dear and carry me, Benny," Lola said.
"Lola, get off," Luan said.
"Hey, I'm tired, and Benny wants to help," Lola said.
"No he doesn't!" Luan said. "Benny, tell her!"
"It's fine, Luan," Benny insisted. "Whatever's easier."
"Ugh, Benny, you're too easy going," Luan said.
"Don't be jealous, Luan," Lola said as she gently stroked Benny's cheek. "Besides, I don't intend to do this without reward."
"Hey, enough chatter, just keep moving!" Lynn ordered.
As they ran, they heard a car honking nearby. They turned to see the car belonging to the Spokes Family.
"Girls!" Rusty called from the passenger seat.
"I'm here too!" Benny reminded.
"Right, sorry man," Rusty said. "Hey, are you going to find Christina?"
"Yeah, we are," Luna said.
"Hop in, my dad and I will drive you there," Rusty said.
"I'm really worried about Katherine," Rodney said.
"Can that car fit all of us?" Luan asked.
"Hey, it's not as big as your car, but I can handle it," Rodney said. "It's not too far anyway."
"By the way, where's Lincoln?" Rusty asked. "I figured he was with one of you."
"Isn't he with Clyde?" Lynn asked.
"No, he just disappeared," Rusty said.
"How peculiar..." Lisa noted.
"I'm worried, I should call him," Luna said.
"Wait, let me," Lana quickly pulled her phone out. "He always answers fast when I call him. He's still freaked out from the kidnapping a few weeks ago so he likes to make sure I'm safe."
"Aw, how sweet," Leni said.
Lana dialed the phone, hoping to figure out a way to cover for the boy.
Meanwhile Lincoln was seen dodging Otto's strikes, then landing a kick to knock him back. It was at this point that his phone started ringing. "Yeah?"
"Lincoln, it's me!" Lana said as everyone was in the car and driving over. "Just confirming where you are, for the sake of our sisters, who are very worried about you."
"Right...they would be suspicious," Lincoln thought to himself. "Uh...well, tell them I'm fine. I took my bike and decided to...go to the doctor to check on Paige."
"Right, Paige, of course, she'd want to know," Lana said. "Anyway, I'll let you get back to biking."
"Hey wait, let me talk to him," Luna said.
"Luna wants to talk," Lana said.
"I can't, I'll talk to her later," Lincoln said as he kicked Otto back.
"Yeah sure," Lana hung up. "He said he was busy."
"Lana!" Luna shouted in annoyance as she dialed as well.
Lincoln blocked another strike from Otto, then heard his phone ring again. He opted to break free and pull away to keep his distance. "What is it?"
"Lincoln! Where are you!?" Luna asked.
"Didn't Lana tell you?" Lincoln replied. "I'm on my way to the doctor's office."
"You didn't think to tell us!?" Luna scolded. "We were worried sick!"
"I'm fine, I can take care of myself," Lincoln said.
"That answer ain't gonna cut it, dude!" Luna said. "When things like this happen, I need to know where everyone is!"
"Sorry, I just reacted without-" Lincoln quickly dodged a strike. "I mean...I'll try to tell you. Right now, I should go!"
"Lincoln wait!" Luna called. Unfortunately she just got a dial tone. "Dude!"
"He'll be fine, Luna, Lincoln's resourceful," Lana said.
"I know he is, but I still worry," Luna said.
"We'll talk to him later about this," Leni said. "Right now, I think Linky's just stressed out because his girlfriend is a mutant. When Linky gets stressed, he tends to act irrationally."
"He might have just gone to see Paige as a distraction from his worries," Luan said.
"Yeah, probably," Luna said.
"Keep in mind that Lincoln is very clever, and has experience when it comes to danger," Lucy said. "He's one of the only people I know that's brave enough to ride a dragon."
"That's the problem, since Scotland, Lincoln thinks he's invincible," Luna said. "Like some superhero or something."
"Superhero?" Lisa said.
"The existence of actual superheroes might have made things worse," Lynn said.
"To be fair, we're pretty reckless ourselves," Lucy said. "I trusted my life to a ghost."
"Well at least we're together," Luna said. "I'll give Lincoln an earful later."
As Rodney kept driving, he came across a curious sight, "Hey kids, I see your parents."
"Yeah, I think their car broke down," Rusty said.
"Surprise, surprise," Lynn sarcastically commented.
"Pull over, please," Lana said as Rodney came to a stop. She immediately leapt out of the car. "Mom! Dad!"
"Lana?" Lynn Sr turned to see all of his daughters in one vehicle. "Kids, what are you doing here?"
"We got worried and wanted to check on you," Luna said. "Mr. Spokes gave us a ride."
"Yo Lynn! How's it hanging?" Rodney said.
"Hey Rodney, I don't know how my kids got you wrapped up in this," Lynn Sr said. "But you really didn't need to-"
"It's fine, I was on my way there to check on Katherine," Rodney said. "Your kids were following on foot while I was driving."
"Ugh, you kids can be so stubborn sometimes," Rita said. "Except for Lincoln, I don't see him here at all."
"He went to the doctor's office," Luna said. "He's worried about Paige."
"I'll talk to him about it later," Lynn Sr said as he turned to Vanzilla. "Right now, we gotta do something about this car."
"I got this," Lana said as she popped open the front hood. "Give me five minutes."
"Rodney, you can go ahead, I can take my daughters from here," Lynn Sr said.
"Sounds good to me," Rodney said as the Loud Girls along with Sam and Benny stepped out of the car. "You kids be careful."
"We will, thank you Mr. Spokes," Leni said.
"Oh, Lucy!" Rusty said, getting the girl's attention. "Rocky's been asking about you."
"Rocky?" Lucy asked, the girl recalling her old crush. "I'll talk to him later."
"Sounds good," Rusty focused back on his father. "Lets hit the road, pops."
Rodney drove off, leaving the Loud Family behind for the moment.
"So...Rocky huh?" Lynn asked. "Didn't you move on from him?"
"For the moment," Lucy said. "Love is fickle. Rocky was nice but I think what I had was a simple crush, nothing beyond that."
"Hey, at least you know who or what your crush is," Lynn said.
"In any case, my heart belongs to Spider-Man," Lucy said, this causing some mild discomfort for Lana. "Once I discover who he is, I will make him mine for good."
"Geez, you really need to get over this crush you have on Spider-Man, it's freaking weird," Lynn said.
"Says the girl who's rumored to be dating Spider-Man," Lucy said.
"You know dang well that rumor isn't true!" Lynn scolded.
"Girls, no fighting," Rita said. "Let's try to stay calm, okay?"
"Yeah, alright," Lynn said as she looked ahead. "Geez, I think I can hear some of the fighting from here."
"Hopefully Christina's alright," Lola said.
"Spider-Man too..." Lana said.
Back at the fight, Lincoln continued dodging attacks from Otto as he berated himself, "Seriously Loud!? You silence your cellphone during movie but not during a life-threatening fight!" He webs his limbs to the ground at one point, and allowing Lincoln to land a few punches, even sending him flying through a nearby window.
"Are you done!?" Lincoln shouted. "Or do you still want to keep getting beaten up!?"
Christina was then thrown toward Lincoln, the boy catching his unmasked friend. "Hey, are you hurt?"
"I'm fine," Christina gestured to Warren. "Watch out though!"
Warren attempted to claw Lincoln, but the boy blocked and delivered a punch to the villain's stomach, and then hit an uppercut that sent him flying all the while Christina flew in with a kick to Otto's face, stunning him long enough to blast him back as well.
"Come on, Spider-Man!" Katherine cheered.
"You go too, Christina!" Marta cheered. "Don't let those bullies get to you!"
"That's your daughter, correct?" Katherine asked.
"Yes, she is," Marta said. "I can't believe she's a superhero but-"
"Hold that thought, I want to get an interview with you later once my camera crew comes back," Katherine said.
Otto continued battling Lincoln, then heard some sirens coming his way. "How bothersome."
"So, when you get arrested, do you prefer prison? Or an aquarium?" Lincoln taunted. "It might be placed next to the zoo they'll throw your doggie buddy in."
"Do you ever shut that annoying trap of yours!?" Otto shouted as he went for another strike that Lincoln blocked. "This is my future! My destiny! I have been pushed around my whole life! Now it's my turn to be the dominant one, and no smart-mouth arachnid is going to take that from me!"
"Hey, I know what it's like to get pushed around, but at least I didn't resort to evil!" Lincoln dashed in with a kick to Otto's face to send him flying back. "You could have been better, but you chose the coward's way. That girl Lisa must be so disappointed in you!"
"That girl may just be yet another one for you to put behind bars one day," Otto said as some cop cars got closer.
"Watch it!" Lincoln warned. "That girl is going to be someone special."
"You poor naive fool..." Otto said. As the police officers stepped out to surround him, Otto grabbed the cars with his limbs and aggressively flung them at Lincoln.
"Oh crap!" Lincoln used his webbing in an attempt to stop the cars, but he was crushed by their weight.
Otto used this moment to whack the police officers around, sending one crashing through a nearby apartment window, one crashing against a telephone pole, one crashing against a wall near Katherine and the Valdez Parents, and even one toward Warren.
As that cop stood up, Warren clawed him on the back and kicked him aside, "I hate the likes of you."
"Hey! That was uncalled for!" Christina blasted Warren through a grocery store window. She then flew in and landed a few blows.
She then kicked him against a cooler, breaking the glass in the process and flew in once more with a kick to his chest before grabbing him and throwing the scientist back out.
"I hope the owner won't be too mad about the damage here," Christina said as she looked around at the mess she accidentally caused. "Well, this creature can work off the debt."
Otto had several more cops suspended in the air as he began to taunt them, "Do you fools believe yourselves to be a match for me?"
"You won't get away with this!" One cop said. He was then thrown against a car, cracking the man's back on impact.
"None of you are in a position of power against me," Otto taunted. "So I suggest that you-"
"Octavius!" Lincoln pulled himself out of the wreck and focused on the scientist. "Let those men go!"
"Come and get them!" Otto threw one at Lincoln, the boy using his webbing to catch one and leaving him on a web hammock.
Otto threw another but Lincoln leapt up and caught him midair, gently letting him down on the ground afterwards.
Otto threw one last cop, but Lincoln swung over and left him safely on a roof. Lincoln leapt back down to face the man, "Are you done!?"
Otto looked around for any type of distraction, then noticed Rodney's van coming in, "Just one more."
He leapt away and landed in front of the van, spooking Rodney as Otto grabbed the vehicle with his limbs.
"What in the heck!?" Rodney shouted in disbelief as his car was levitated. "H-Hey! I haven't finished paying this car off yet!"
Otto threw the car at Lincoln, the boy quickly leaping up to catch it and skidding across the ground to bring it to a complete stop. Once it was safely back on the ground, Lincoln leapt up to tap the glass.
"Are you two alright in there!?" Lincoln asked.
"Y-yeah, we're fine," Rusty insisted. "Thanks man!"
"It's no trouble at-" Lincoln was grabbed by Otto and had his face slammed against the glass a few times before being aggressively flung against a pole.
"I have had it up to here with you!" Otto began stomping over.
Suddenly Rusty got out of the car and grabbed a nearby can to throw it at Otto's head, "Hey pal, that's for what you did to my dad's car!"
Otto sinisterly turned around and grabbed Rusty with his metallic limb. "You..."
"My son!" Rodney shouted in worry.
"Rodney!?" Katherine realized the situation. "Rusty too!?"
"Put me down you creep!" Rusty shouted.
Lincoln's eyes widened in worry, "No! Rusty!"
Otto turned toward the hero, "Do you know this boy?"
Lincoln had to choose his words carefully, his secret was now on the brim of danger. Even worse, this could make things bad for Rusty too. "I recognize him as a member of the Action Six News Team, a group of kids from Royal Woods Middle School!"
Otto sinisterly turned to Rusty, "Do you personally know Spider-Man?" He then aimed another limb with a knife sticking out. "Talk. I'd rather not hurt a child but I will make an exception."
"You literally want revenge on a six-year-old!" Lincoln warned.
"Quiet!" Otto turned back to Rusty. "Well!?"
"I don't know his secret identity if that's what you're wondering!" Rusty said. "I didn't even know Christina was Firestar until now!"
"Don't tell him too much!" Lincoln warned.
"No, tell me more," Otto said. Fortunately his need for knowledge provided Lincoln with the distraction he needed to swing in and kick the man in the face, freeing Rusty in the process.
"Hey!" Lincoln ran to the boy. "Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine, nothing I can't handle," Rusty insisted. "Also, do I know you? You sound kind of familiar."
"Uh, I get that a lot," Lincoln nervously said as he instinctively tried making his voice sound deeper. "Just go hide somewhere."
Otto got back on his feet, hearing more sirens coming, as well as some helicopters. "The plan is compromised." He looked to the side and spotted Warren recovering from Christina's attack. "Doctor, I suggest we call a retreat."
"I hate to admit it, but you're correct," Warren said. "Besides, we're not walking away with nothing, we have our own advantage now."
"Let us hurry," Otto said.
"Hey! You're not getting away!" Christina warned as she flew over.
"Get back here!" Lincoln dashed over as well as he pulled out some spider trackers.
Otto then grabbed a nearby fire extinguisher, "Brace yourself." Just as Lincoln threw the trackers, Otto then smashed the extinguisher, causing Lincoln to miss as well as generating a large puff of white smoke, providing the distraction needed for him and Warren to escape.
"Keep an eye on them!" The local policeman ordered. "Choppers, stay in the air!"
Many of the cops began to pursue the villains as Lincoln and Christina dusted themselves off.
"Where'd they go!?" Lincoln asked as he pulled himself out of the smokescreen.
Christina pulled herself out as well, the girl looking just as irritated. "Great, they got away."
"Are you kidding me!?" Lincoln asked. "I can't lose Octavius again, not with that Jackal creature by his side."
"Don't worry, we'll find them," Christina reassured. "It's an octopus and a giant dog, they shouldn't be too hard to track."
"What about you though?" Lincoln asked. "You got unmasked on live TV."
"Yeah, that's definitely going to be a pain," Christina awkwardly admitted.
"Are you...going to have to move?" Lincoln asked, the boy feeling his heart twist. "Will I never see you again?"
"Pfft, no way," Christina said. "I could never leave Royal Woods. Everyone I care about is here, including you."
"But your mask, your identity," Lincoln said.
"It won't be easy, but I can manage," Christina said. "Look, since meeting you, I haven't felt so insecure about my abilities. Thanks to you, my powers started feeling less like a curse, and more like a gift. My costume didn't make me Firestar, my actions did. I'm a superhero who saves lives; that's not a bad thing."
"I guess..." Lincoln said.
"Hey..." Christina took Lincoln's hand in hers. "Don't worry, alright? I can figure it out. Regardless of today, I'm still going to be Firestar. You and I are still going to fight crime together."
"What about your parents?" Lincoln asked.
Christina glanced at her mother, who looked very worried, and her father, who seemed to be checking on the injured policeman.
"I will definitely need to talk to them," Christina said. "It won't be easy; my father hates mutants after all. My mom isn't too fond, but I don't think it will matter to her."
"Well, I'll be there if you need me," Lincoln said.
"Heh, thanks," Christina said. "I'd kiss you, but as far as everyone knows, I'm dating Lincoln Loud, and I couldn't kiss you without either exposing your identity or making it look like I'm cheating on you."
"We can celebrate later, in private," Lincoln said.
"I'll hold you to that, make it a special night for me," Christina said with a wink.
"Christina!" Marta ran over to the girl. "Oh my sweet baby, are you hurt!?"
"I'm fine," Christina said. "So...looks like you know."
"You bet I do!" Marta said in a scolding tone. "Honestly, I don't even know where to start! A mutant!? A superhero!? How long has this been a thing!? When did you do this!? Why!? How!?"
"Mom, I promise I'll tell you and dad everything," Christina glanced at her father, the man having already stepped away from the cop while cautiously glancing in Christina's direction. "I just need time to figure it out."
"She's done a great job as a superhero ma'am," Lincoln said. "You would be proud of her."
"Do your parents know what you've been doing, young man!?" Marta asked.
"Uh..." Lincoln nervously rubbed her head. "Kind of?"
"Honestly, you probably have so many people worried yourself," Marta said. "This is dangerous work for kids."
"Mom, please, can we talk about this?" Christina asked. "I don't want to stop being a superhero. I love it. I get to use my powers to protect people."
"Honey, that's great and all, but you're only a child," Marta said. "You could have at least waited until you were older. Now everyone knows and...I might have to pull you out of school over this."
"And into a school in this city, right?" Christina asked.
"Or, you could try home school," Lincoln said. "I heard about a family that tried it, one your daughter knows."
"I do?" Christina asked.
"Those Loud Kids," Lincoln smirked under his mask. "Including that charmingly handsome boyfriend of yours, the one you're lucky to have. Why, he's almost as good looking as I am."
Christina playfully rolled her eyes, "You're right. I nearly forgot. I seem to recall my boyfriend, Lincoln Loud, participating in home schooling like his sisters did once. Too bad he was so terrible at it that he had to go back to regular school."
"Well...ahem...some of the sisters pulled it off," Lincoln said. "And if she can, then so can you."
"Home schooling huh?" Marta asked. "Well, it might be better than moving. Plus even another school might find out about you being a mutant. I'll consider it. But, how would Lincoln feel."
"He knows, and so does Paige," Christina insisted. "You can call and ask both of them. Neither of them mind. I really don't want to be taken from them either, they both mean so much to me."
"Well, I'm glad they're supportive," Marta glanced at James again as he got closer. "Your father though..."
Christina turned to her father, who still had this look of uncertainty in his eyes.
"I'll worry about that later," Christina said, then noticed another van pulling up. "Hey, it's The Loud Family."
"Oh right! I left them behind," Marta ran to check on them. "I'll be right back!"
Christina nodded and turned back to Lincoln, "Guess I'm sticking around after all."
"I'm glad," Lincoln said. "After breaking up with Emma, and Jordan moving away, I don't think I could handle that heartbreak again."
"I won't let you go through that either," Christina said. "I still don't know how I can convince my mother to allow me to continue being a hero though."
"Worry about that later," Lincoln said.
"Man, so much happened, I can't wait to tell Paige," Christina said. "Hopefully she has an idea on how to-"
Suddenly a gunshot was heard, the sound echoing throughout the area. Lincoln's eyes widened under his mask while as he beheld a horrifying sight.
Christina stood there in disbelief, the girl slowly looking down to see what had happened. She saw the wound inflicted from the gunshot meant for her.
It wasn't long before her suit was stained by her blood, the same blood that went splat across Lincoln's suit just as the girl fell over, her boyfriend quickly catching her.
Lincoln couldn't believe what was happening, all he could do was hold his girlfriend in his arms as she began to bleed out, her blood further staining his suit as he held her close.
The boy looked down at her once more, unable to register the sight before him. He lifted his hand to see her blood, his mind trying to gather the evidence while his heart refused to believe what was true.
Lincoln began to hyperventilate, his heart was beating fast as the Spider-Sense began ringing in his head. He frantically looked around, seeing the terrified look on everyone's face.
Rusty couldn't believe his eyes, the Loud Family were in disbelief, Marta was mortified, Katherine couldn't believe her eyes, and while Lincoln didn't notice her yet, Stella had just arrived on the scene, just in time to see the gunshot.
It all came down to James, the man holding a gun that was still smoking from the gunshot he set off. He could barely register what he had done, how he had just shot his own daughter.
Lincoln's eyes narrowed at James, his heavy breathing going from a panicked state of disbelief to unbridled rage as his anger completely took over.
In an instant, Lincoln rushed in and punched James hard in the face, sending the man crashing against a car. His face was immediatly swollen as some blood and teeth came out of his mouth.
The sudden impact snapped everyone out of it as they could only bare witness to what was next.
"That was your daughter..." Lincoln sinsiterly stated as he stomped over to James, creating large thuds as he grabbed the man by his shirt, sending a terrifying glare that sent shivers down his spine. "THAT WAS YOUR GOD DAMN DAUGHTER!"
"P-please..." James said. "I...I had to..."
"YOU HAD TO!?" Lincoln angrily threw games against a wall, a slight crack heard as Lincoln walked over and pressed his foot on his chest. "How could you justify something like that!? You just shot your daughter!"
"I couldn't help it...she's not human..." James said. "She's a monster..."
"You...You..." Lincoln's eyes widened in anger as he reeled his fist back. "YOU'RE THE MONSTER!"
Before Lincoln could throw a punch, Stella had ran over to grab his arm, "Spider-Man, stop!"
"Huh!?" Lincoln turned to the girl, "Stay out of this!"
"Spider-Man, I know you're upset, but this isn't you!" Stella pleaded. "You can't let your anger get the better of you! You're a superhero, you face injustice, not cause it!"
"But...but he..." Lincoln glared at James.
"He will get the punishment he deserves," Stella reassured. "Right now is not the time though! What about Firestar!?"
Lincoln turned to the girl, who was being tended to by her mother as others ran to check on her, including the Loud sisters.
"Christina!" Marta gently tried getting her daughter's attention, the woman in a panic. "Please, answer me!"
Lincoln ran over and placed his finger on Christina's neck. Upon hearing a pulse, he picked her up as gently as he could, "I'm getting her to a hospital!"
"Please hurry!" Marta urged as Lincoln dashed off.
James was still moritfied by what happened, the man barely able to register the attack he took. He turned his attention to Stella while trying to reach out. "Th-thank you! You saved-"
Stella whacked his hand away while glaring at the man, "I didn't do it to help you, asshole! I did it to help Spider-Man and Firestar!"
"But...she's..." James said. "Mutants are-"
"Are what, huh!?" Stella got in the man's face. "Mutant or not, she's still your fucking daughter! How could you do that!?"
"It's not my fault!" James pleaded. "I never asked for this."
"ENOUGH OF YOUR EXCUSES!" Stella shouted while holding her ribs in pain as tears came to her eyes. "I can't bellieve you would do such a thing! Powers or not, she's your daughter! Nothing changed! She was still a student at Royal Woods Middle School! She still had friends who cared! Friends like me who knew her secret and still loved her for who she was!"
"You...you knew?" James asked.
"Of course I knew, I'm her friend and she trusts me!" Stella shouted as she continued holding her ribs in pain. "Clearly I love her more than you do! How sad, what kind of a father would think less of his daugter for having powers! One that's using those powers to save lives!"
"I...I..." James had no real response.
"I hate you! I hate you so much!" Stella began coughing a bit. "I hope you rot away and-!" She began coughing again as she keeled over.
"Stella!" Lola was the first to run over to the girl as the others followed. "Lola, are you okay!?"
"You shouldn't be out here!" Luan said. "Do your parents know!?"
"I had to...I had to see-" Stella coughed more until blood started coming out of her mouth. "See Christina-" She coughed up more blood as she keeled over into unconciousness, much to the sisters' worry.
"Oh my God! Stella!" A tearful Lola shouted in dismay.
"Someone call an ambulance! Now!" Lynn shouted.
"I'll call her parents," Rita said as she anxiously grabbed her phone. Within the first ring, she got an answer, "Judy! It's Rita! ...Yes, Stella's here, but hurry! She's not doing well!"
Lynn Sr couldn't help but glare at James, a rare hatred burning in his heart as he clenched his fists. "How...how could anyone do that to their own child!?" The man slightly teared up from what happened. "I could never...even if my kids had powers..." Lynn Sr wiped his eyes as the anger burned within him. "Dear God...please don't let anything happen to that girl. She did not deserve something so cruel."
Lincoln quickly dashed over to the hospital, desperately trying to keep Christina's blood in as he burst through the front doors. "I need medical attention for Christina Valdez! And I need it now!"
The doctors wasted no time getting the stretcher ready, and doing everything they could for Christina. Lincoln just looked on in disbelief, still unable to process what happened.
As a hero, he wants to save everyone he could. But one person he cared the most about was the one who suffered the most.
All Lincoln could do was look down at his hands once more, seeing all the blood that Christina tried keeping in. He still couldn't accept what happened, but the sad reality was that it did.
The boy had gone outside, opting to stay on the roof of the hospital. He had taken his mask off, the boy not feeling worthy of it at the moment. Spider-Man saves people. Lincoln Loud lets them get hurt. That was how he rationalized it.
He then heard the sound of thunder clapping as rain began pouring down. Lincoln looked up at the cloudy skies as flashes of lightning filled the air.
The rain made for a much better mask at the moment, at least for the tears in his eyes. Lincoln hugged his knees and began sobbing. He could save several lives, but those he loves the most tend to suffer the most. It was a pain he could not endure.
