Chapter 42 - A Fair Amount of Puzzles

The Royal Woods Stadium was jam packed with hostages, courtesy of the villainous Green Goblin. Lincoln and Christina had two goals. Free everyone and apprehend The Goblin and his lackies.

"Luan!" Lynn Sr stood up and shouted at the villain on the screen. "You monster! Let my daughter go!"

"Lynn! Sit down!" Rita urged. "You're still not fully recovered!"

"Rita, our daughter is in danger! That's way more important than my physical health!" Lynn Sr insisted.

"Mom's right dad," Lynn said Jr. "You're brave, but you're also liable to get hurt. Which is why I should go up there."

"If you try, you'll just get hurt!" Lana scolded. "Let Spider-Man handle this!"

"Pfft, Spider-Man, like he's so great," Lynn brushed off.

"Just a friendly reminder, you're all hostages, meaning that if I feel like you're going to be trouble, then you face the penalty of death," Goblin warned. "Don't be fools."

"Not to nitpick, Goblin, but your definition of 'friendly' and mine are about as far apart as your sanity and reality!" Lincoln called.

"Ha, good one," Luan complimented.

"Seriously though, whatever your beef is, keep it between us!" Lincoln said. "You don't need to involve all these innocent people!"

"I know...but it's more fun that way," Goblin said, then cackled a bit right afterwards.

"What a creep," Christina said.

"You know Spider-Man, you should be thanking me," The Goblin said. "This Festival needed a big event to keep people entertained, and what better way to do so than a game of Life or Death?"

"I had a play!" Luan shouted as she was still restrained by Brooke and Chet.

"And let's be honest, it was very amateurish," Goblin said. "Who wrote it? Your little brother?"

"First off, it was written by my boyfriend!" Luan shouted as she gestured to Benny with her foot. "That handsome boy right there."

Benny awkwardly rubbed his head, "Even when she's a hostage she's such a sweetheart."

"Second, even if my brother did write it, it would still be a very good play," Luan said. "My brother once won an Ace Savvy comic book contest!"

"Aw, that's nice of her to say," Christina said.

"Comic books are a waste of time," Goblin said.

"Says the guy who's basically LARPing!" Lincoln shouted. "I bet you're not even a real King! You look like a phony!"

"Oh we'll see about that, young one," Goblin said. "Let's test your wits. Starting with a few riddles. If you don't answer them correctly, a bomb will go off, wiping out this entire stadium."

"Wow, kind of feels like we're in an action movie," Christina said.

"Which means, we need to think like we're action movie stars," Lincoln said. "Better yet, like detectives. Specifically, David Steele. Well technically he's a spy but that still involves figuring things out."

"I'm not that familiar with David Steele," Christina said.

"I'll catch you up later, just follow my lead," Lincoln said.

"Now Spider-Man, for your first...HEY!" Goblin focused his attention on a nearby Joey. "Just where do you think you're going!?"

"Uh...the bathroom?" Joey said.

"Get back in your seat! One more stunt like that and I reduce this place to ashes!" Goblin warned. "To anyone else who wants to leave early, you have been warned! Death to those who defy their King!"

"I really hate this guy..." Mollie said.

"Now, Spider-Man and Firestar," Goblin said. "Are you ready for your first challenge?"

"I'd rather skip to the final boss honestly," Lincoln said.

"Tough, there's no easy pass, if you want to face me, you need to prove yourself worthy!" Goblin said.

"Prove myself worthy?! What's next, pulling a sword out of a stone?! Or even lifting Thor's hammer!?" Lincoln asked in disbelief. "Besides, I already fought you! I even sent you packing!"

"Was that before or after you failed to truly save that girl?" Goblin taunted, causing Lincoln's eyes to widen under his mask as his chest began to tighten. "I know a lot Spider-Man, you may have kept her alive, but not without her broken spirit."

"Goblin...I am warning you," Lincoln hissed.

"Honestly, last time, you got lucky," Goblin gestured to Luan. "I don' think you will be so lucky this time. What if you can't save this girl? What if she meets a fate worse than that of Jordan Rosato?"

"That sadistic motherf..." Mollie recalled she wasn't too far away from some kids, including Lincoln's little sisters, but she had free reign to curse the villain out in her mind.

Lincoln was beginning to tense up, to which Christina eased his anger with a soothing back rub as she whispered to him. "He's just trying to get in your head. Remember, you did save Jordan, she's alive because of you and she'll get better. Right now, you need to focus and not let your emotions distract you."

"...You're right," Lincoln whispered back. "I can handle some mind games, I've gotten better at ignoring Lynn. At least...I think I've gotten better...have I?"

"Lincoln, you're psyching yourself out again," Christina warned.

"Uh, right, sorry..." Lincoln sheepishly said.

"Are you two done talking?" Goblin asked, getting their attention. "I don't have all day."

"Hey, no one asked you to be here!" Lincoln shouted. "Just tell us this silly riddle of yours!"

"Tch, silly, kids like you have no respect these days, but very well, solve this," Goblin began. "Where flames dance and hammers sing, find the gift fit for a king. Its gleam will guide you to the next, but mind the heat, or you'll be hexed."

"Wow, that's pretty clever," Christina said then called out. "How long do we have to answer!?"

"You have twenty minutes," Goblin said.

"Okay, I think I can figure this out," Lincoln said. "A gift fit for a King..."

"What do Kings like?" Christina asked.

"Well, they like treasure, I think," Lincoln said. "There's also power, but it might depend on the King."

"You think we should figure out what The Green Goblin likes?" Christina asked. "This could be about him so-"

"Did I forget to mention that this is a Scavenger Hunt?" Goblin spoke up. "You need to find this item; it's hidden somewhere in the fair."

"Seriously!?" Lincoln shouted. "You want us to search this entire fair for one item!?"

"I told you where it is, use the riddle," Goblin said as he opened the doors. "Hurry up, you're running low on time."

"Dang it, this just got harder," Lincoln said.

"Let's not waste any time, come on!" Christina led Lincoln away.

As the two left, Lisa held her hand up, "Pardon me Goblin King, but is it possible for anyone else to solve this riddle!?"

"Feel free, not that it matters," Goblin said. "You still need to retrieve the item, which you cannot do as you are trapped here."

"Fair point..." Lisa said. "I guess Spider-Man and Firestar are our only hopes."

"Screw that, I'm going to be the one who gets us out of here!" Lynn said.

"You!?" Lana asked. "Lynn, you're strong, but you're still pretty average compared to actual supervillains!"

"Well at the very least, we need to gt Luan to safety," Lynn said. "Lola too."

"Where is Lola?" Leni asked.

"I see her," Lynn Sr said, gesturing to his daughter. "She's with some knight."

Leni looked ahead as well. Stella, whom Leni did not recognize, was seen holding Lola close to her, doing her best to comfort the younger girl.

"Well at least that knight's protecting Lola," Leni said.

"Whoever that guy is, we owe him for that," Lynn said. "For now, we gotta figure out how to get her to safety too. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not leaving things to chance."

"Just let Spider-Man handle this!" Lana said. "We don't want to get in his way!"

"He's the one getting in my way," Lynn said. "Now let's meet up with Lincoln so we can come up with a plan."

"Wait...where is Linky?" Leni asked.

Lana's eyes widened in worry as she quickly thought of a lie, "I think he and Christina went to get snacks just before Goblin shut everyone inside. Which means he's outside and he's safe!"

"Lucky punk," Lynn said. "Well he's probably worried about us, let's give him a ring."

"I got it," Lori said as she dialed her phone.

"Hey, where's Bobby?" Lucy asked. "Wasn't he coming today as well?"

"His grandfather broke his hip, so Bobby had to work at the Bodega today," Lori explained.

"Oh no, is Hector okay?" Lynn Sr asked.

"He's fine, last I spoke, Bobby said he's enjoying being bedridden," Lori said. "It's letting him catch up on his Novellas."

"I know that feeling," Lynn Sr said. "Uh...just replace Novellas with good old-fashioned baseball."

"My kind of relaxation," Lynn Sr said.

"Tch, if you watching sports is considered relaxing, the idea of you being stressed out is horrifying," Lisa said. "Then again...after that emu incident-"

"Never speak of that again!" Lynn Jr warned.

Lori had tried calling Lincoln, but she went straight to voicemail, "No answer!? Ugh, why doesn't that kid ever answer when I call him!?"

"Because you always yell at him," Lana said.

"Yeah Lori, you're mean to Linky sometimes," Lily said.

"I'm not being mean, I'm being stern!" Lori said. "Lincoln's been so lazy these days. He's always neglecting his chores just to hang out with some girls."

"Wow, a teenage boy would rather spend time with girls, so shocking..." Lynn joked.

"Hey, any other time is one thing, but dad really needed all of us," Lori said. "It's amazing just how selfish Lincoln can be."

Lana angrily clenched her fists, resisting the urge to shout at her older sister. She kept all of her frustrations in her head, despite the difficulty, "Lincoln does so much more than you could possibly imagine!"

"Lori, I need you to stop saying things like that about your brother," Rita said. "If there's a problem, your father and I will handle it. But right now isn't the time to be doing or saying such things."

"Fine, whatever..." Lori said.

"Tone Lori," Rita warned. "Look, I want to save Luan and Lola too. But I am very hesitant to do anything that might endanger my girls."

"You don't have to," Lynn Sr said. "None of you have to do anything, except me."

"Dad, come on," Lynn Jr said.

"No can do," Lynn Sr said. "As a man, it's my responsibility to keep my wife and my children safe. Let me take the necessary risks."

"Dad, I know you want to protect us, but we also want to protect you," Lynn Jr said.

"It was really scary when you got hurt," Lily said as she tugged at her father's shirt. "I don't want you getting hurt again."

"Aw, Lily..." Lynn Sr picked his youngest daughter up, holding the girl in his arms. "I'm sorry you were scared, I won't do anything reckless. But I do need to protect your sisters."

"Wow daddy, you're just like Spider-Man," Lily said. "You're not afraid of anything, huh?"

"Well, I don't know about Spider-Man, but I am afraid of some things," Lynn Sr said. "My biggest fear is seeing one of you kids getting hurt. But there's nothing wrong with being afraid, it makes us human. That's why you need to find courage."

"Courage?" Lily asked.

"Yeah, courage is when you do something despite being scared," Lynn Sr said. "I know you're scared now, but I need you to find your courage. It's not easy, but I know you can do it. You're a Loud, and Louds are tough!"

"Tough? Like The Avengers?" Lily asked.

"Yeah, like The Avengers, but better" Lynn Sr flexed his arm. "Even Captain America's got nothing on these guns!"

"I bet I could take on The Hulk," Lynn Jr said.

"Pfft, as if," Lana replied. "All he'd need to do is blow in your direction, and it'd send you flying."

"Like that would happen!" Lynn said, then focused on her father. "Seriously dad, at least let us try to cause a distraction for you."

"If you do, he might take action," Lynn Sr said. "There will be a chance to move. I just need to wait and see."

Outside, Lincoln and Christina had begun searching the festival grounds for any sign of what they might need.

"Figuring out what we're looking for is one thing, but where?" Christina said. "That's going to be a pain."

"Don't worry, I can figure it out, I've done something like this before," Lincoln said.

"You have?" Christina asked.

"Yeah, it helped me and my sisters find a real treasure once," Lincoln said.

"Wait, really!?" Christina asked. "How!? Was this in Scotland?"

"No, it was at our house. See, we were cleaning out the attic one day as punishment for fighting, and found a note from a lady named Sharon Demonet," Lincoln said. "It led us to a briefcase containing five hundred dollars."

"And this came from a lady named Sharon Demonet?" Christina asked.

"Pretty much, though some things about that whole even did seem kind of suspicious," Lincoln said. "Somehow one of the notes ended up on Lily's diaper, while she was still wearing it."

"You think maybe it came from your parents?" Christina asked. "Maybe the money was from them."

"No way, my parents couldn't afford to give me and my sisters five hundred dollars just for solving a scavenger hunt. Especially after me and my sisters were fighting," Lincoln said. "Maybe Lily just happened to come across it by pure coincidence or something."

"Well, at least we know you can solve something like this," Christina said.

"To be fair, I did have help from my sisters," Lincoln said. "But I've read a lot of Ace Savvy and David Steele. If they can figure it out, then so can I."

"Feels weird relying on fictional characters," Christina said.

"Maybe, but they give me motivation," Lincoln said. "Now, let's put our brains to work. What are some things that would make a good gift for a king?"

"Let's see, what do kings like?" Christina wondered aloud. "Well I know they like to rule. So maybe a country?"

"A country? That seems like a lot," Lincoln said. "He said it has to do with flames and hammers."

"Flames and hammers?" Christina asked. "Wait, like what they do to make metal and stuff?"

"Metal...king...could it be a sword?" Lincoln asked.

"Do Kings fight?" Christina asked.

"I think so...?" Lincoln said. "Or at least they send others to fight."

"Because they rule them..." Christina said.

Within a few moments, both Lincoln and Christina perked up, realizing the answer.

"A crown!"

Immediately the two began searching the fair for a welding station. Fortunately Lincoln had a better idea of where to look, and was quick to find what he was looking for.

"There it is!" Lincoln said, gesturing to the golden artifact.

Christina picked it up, the girl feeling relieved. "With plenty of time to spare too."

"Congratulations," Came Goblin's voice. "You two knaves are actually a lot smarter than you appear to be."

"Come say that to our faces!" Lincoln demanded. "Or is The King of Goblins actually the King of Chickens?"

"Cute, keep that up and I'll just destroy the stadium right now!" Goblin warned.

"Ugh, just tell us what's next," Christina said.

"You still have two more riddles, and here's the next one," Goblin said before reading out his challenge. "My sands slip by, silent and fleet. I guard the place where time does meet. Seek me where two shadows greet."

"You must really have a lot of time on your hands if you feel the need to do this silly stuff," Lincoln said.

"Did you not hear my warning earlier, or do you want everyone in this stadium to die?" Goblin warned. "Half of them hate you enough already, for good reason too. Do you really want to be their end?"

"That won't happen!" Christina declared. "We'll your little puzzle, then bring you to justice!"

"Whatever gets you through this," Goblin said. "I'm resetting your twenty-minute time limit, so get on it!"

Goblin disconnected, leaving Christina and Lincoln to themselves for the moment.

"Alright, let's out our heads together," Christina said. "This one is time based, so it could just be a clock."

"He wouldn't make it that simple," Lincoln said. "We need to think like this is medieval times, so anything that feels like a means to tell time is something we need to consider."

"Let's see...I would think medieval times would have some type of clock..." Christina thought to herself. "But, I imagine it's not even a grandfather clock or anything like that."

"We need to think old, like really old," Lincoln said. "Like, what existed before grandfather clocks?"

"Well, I remember in elementary school, we learned about Water Clocks," Christina said.

"...Water Clocks?" Lincoln asked. "I don't remember learning anything about?"

"We had different teachers, remember?" Christina asked.

"Oh yeah...because of, well...that," Lincoln awkwardly admitted.

"Uh, yeah..." Christina awkwardly replied. "I did tell you that I forgave you for that, right? I hope you're not still letting it bug you."

"It doesn't actively bug me, but it still reminded me of an old lesson," Lincoln said. "Never invade anyone's privacy, and don't embarrass people. Ironic though, I put myself through humiliation to make it up to my sisters for filming them without consent. I forgot to consider that it might be bad for you too."

"Well, more people were talking about you than me. The most I got were a few kids calling me your girlfriend, but that didn't last," Christina said. "That's the fun thing about school, kids tend to move on to something else more embarrassing, and not to be mean, but you embarrassed yourself quite a number of times."

"Huh? No I didn't!" Lincoln said.

"What about that Girl Guru thing?" Christina pointed out. "That seemed pretty embarrassing to me."

"Christina..." Lincoln lamented.

"Yeah, don't worry, I won't bug you about it," Christina said. "Seriously, don't worry about that old video. In hindsight, it was kind of cute. I'm flattered that you had a crush on me. Had you just told me, I might have considered giving you a chance. But, I gotta know. I get that you had a picture of me that you wanted to kiss...which is a bit creepy I'll admit, but whatever. What I don't understand is why you felt the need to tape it onto a vampire bust."

"I...don't know honestly," Lincoln said. "Maybe because I see Lucy kissing it a lot and it gave me the idea? I probably should have stuck to kissing your picture."

"Admitting it like that is also kind of creepy, Lincoln," Christina pointed out, which embarrassed Lincoln. "Besides...why kiss a picture, when you can kiss the real deal?"

"...Uh..." Lincoln nervously looked for a distraction. "H-hey, we're wasting time, we gotta find that clue!"

The boy immediately swung away, with Christina shrugging it off, "He's cute when he's shy." She flew after her partner, hoping to find more clues.

Back in the stadium, a mob of angry people were seen confronting a few of The Goblin's henchmen.

"You can't keep us trapped in here like animals!" a man said. "If you don't let us out-!"

"Silence!" The guard punched the guy down as his allies aimed some swords. "Any more resistance will result in death."

"Honestly, I should just tell my minions to kill the lot of you," Goblin said while still observing. "Imagine the reactions of Spider-Man and his little Night Light of a partner."

"Her name's Firestar!" Paige shouted.

"Quiet!" Goblin warned. "Now, if it is any consolation to you saps, the first riddle has been solved. But I doubt your heroes will make it to the end of this challenge!"

Stella, while still comforting Lola, contemplated calling Lincoln and Christina, running the situation through her mind. "I gotta see their process, not knowing is bugging me. But, I can't call them in front of Lola, and she's too scared to be left alone. Besides, if one of The Green Goblin's guards sees me on the phone, that will arouse suspicion and could endanger everyone."

"I hope Linky's okay..." Lola said.

"He'll be fine," Stella gently rubbed Lola's head. "Try to be brave. You'll see him again soon, and then you can give him a big hug right afterwards."

"Yeah, okay..." Lola said as she nuzzled closer to Stella.

"You've got such a cute little sister, Lincoln. Scratch that, they're all cute, and you're the luckiest guy I know to have such a big and wonderful family," Stella thought to herself as she held Lola close. "Try to hurry back and see them again."

Meanwhile Lynn Sr had snuck away with Lynn Jr by his side, the two staying out of sight while keeping Luan in their line of vision.

"I really don't think you should be here, Junior," Lynn Sr said.

"Dad, you're still recovering, and I've got good speed and stamina," Lynn Jr said. "Besides, we made a great team before when we wrestled against Stella's aunt and uncle. If that sellout Tigressa didn't get involved, we would have totally won that fight."

"Kind of overselling me there, champ," Lynn Sr said. "But I appreciate the kind words."

"There's some guards holding Luan, and unfortunately she's still on stage. Lucky for us, that mob has a good chunk of the Goblin's attention, same with his other henchmen," Lynn Jr said. "Let's sneak around and find a blind spot. Then, we'll ambush those other guards and free Luan."

"Okay, let's do this then!" Lynn Sr declared as he and his daughter continued to sneak around.

Back with Lincoln and Christina, the two scoured the park some more to try and find any sign of what they need to be looking for.

"Boy is it ironic that we're trying to figure out a time-based riddle, while running low on time," Christina said.

"It hasn't been that long," Lincoln said. "Let's not give into worry yet, otherwise we're doomed."

"Well the sands of time are not on our side," Christina said.

"I know but...wait," Lincoln turned to the girl. "Say that again."

"What? The sands of time?" Christina asked.

"Sands of time...like an hourglass!" Lincoln said. "That's the sand part of the riddle!"

"Dang, you're right!" Christina said. "Wow, that should have been obvious, I feel dumb for not noticing sooner."

"It's the stress," Lincoln said. "But that doesn't matter. What matters is that we solved half the riddle. But there's still the whole two shadows meet thing. What do shadows have to do with time?"

Christina looked around, hoping something would get the gears in her head moving. Fortunately she was quick to notice something. On the ground she saw her shadow. Looking up at the sun, something jogged her memory.

"The sun dial!" Christina said, this getting Lincoln's attention. "It tells time through shadows!"

"I know where it is too! Let's hurry!" Lincoln said.

Within moments, the two had found the Sun Dial and the Hourglass associated with it. The duo were estatic to know that they solved another puzzle.

"We did it, Lincoln!" Christina said.

"Alright!" Lincoln had embraced Christina in a hug, before realizing and pulling away. "Sorry about that."

"Only apologize when you do something bad," Christina teased.

"R-right, of course," Lincoln nervously said.

"Well done..." Came The Green Goblin's voice as his face appeared before them.

"That's two, you're running low on riddles!" Lincoln boasted.

"The two of us are geniuses together!" Christina boasted.

"Perhaps...now I will test your skills with the third and final riddle," Goblin said before reading it aloud. "Words I hold, but speak them not. I lie where wisdom is often sought. Turn the page, unlock the plot."

"How long does it take for you to come up with these riddles? Did you even come up with them yourself!?" Lincoln asked. "Or are you just ripping off some other riddle-based supervillain?"

"I have a lot of experience with this kind of thing," Goblin confirmed. "Now get moving. And since you two are so smart...you only get ten minutes this time."

"Ten!?" Lincoln asked.

"Good luck..." Goblin said before turning his monitor off.

"Pfft, ten minutes is no problem, I bet we can figure it out in five," Christina said.

Goblin's face came back on the monitor. "Duly noted. You only get five minutes."

The villain left, leaving only a timer of five minutes on the screen.

"Firestar!" Lincoln scolded.

"Forgive me!" Christina pleaded as she placed her hands in a prayer motion.

"Ugh, never mind, let's think fast!" Lincoln said. "Words are held but not spoken...what doesn't speak words?"

"Uh...well, you have to read words to speak them, and you don't always have to read them out loud," Christina said.

"Like a book!?" Lincoln asked.

"Yeah, a book!" Christina said. "It's in places where wisdom is sought. Where do you find wisdom!?"

"From a teacher?" Lincoln asked. "Teachers have books!"

"Not all of them carry books on them," Christina said.

"Then a school, those have books," Lincoln said.

"There is no school here!" Christina said. The girl lightly pulled at her hair, "Me and my big mouth, I could just scream!"

"Let's stick to our inside voices, that's how my family got kicked out of the..." Lincoln's eyes widened. "Library!"

"Huh?" Christina asked.

"That's where you find books! Wisdom too!" Lincoln said.

"Oh crap, you're right!" Christina happily declared. "Let's get to the library, quick!"

Within moments, the two had arrived at a Library Tent, hoping that this would be the end of the puzzle. But there were several books around, and nothing that pointed to which one they needed.

"Quick! Scan the books!" Lincoln urged.

Both he and Christina started desperately trying to find what they needed, flipping through books and hoping the answer was somewhere.

Suddenly a scroll fell out of one of the books, to which Christina immediately grabbed it. "I found something!"

Lincoln grabbed the scroll, which read one simple line. "All Hail The Goblin King."

"Oh so nice to hear those words coming from you," Goblin said as he appeared on a nearby monitor. "Well done, you have solved all three of my riddles."

"Sweet, do we win a prize?" Lincoln asked. "Perhaps an all expense paid trip to butt kicking land with you as the host!"

"Now, now, you're not quite done," Goblin said. "You still have other challenges."

"Oh come on! We already solved these riddles, isn't that enough?" Christina asked.

"That was just Level One," Goblin said. "There are Three Levels in total. Your next level is in the maze. Better hurry, if you want to save everyone that is."

Goblin disconnected, leaving Lincoln and Christina very much annoyed.

"I'm really starting to hate this guy," Christina said.

"Starting too? I hated this guy the moment he let out his first breath," Lincoln said. "Anyway, we got work to do. Come on."

Back in the Stadium, Goblin chose to alert everyone to the progress made by Lincoln and Christina. "Looks like your heroes have solved the riddles. Good thing too, I was very close to blowing this place up."

"Cool, so can we go home now!?" Rusty asked.

"No, I'm not done yet," Goblin said. "Your heroes need to stop me if they want this to be done!"

"We're really starting to hate you right now!" Luna called from near her band. "Like seriously dude, don't you have anything better to do than torment people!?"

"Hm...let me think about that..." Goblin said. "Uh...no. Gahahahaha!"

Luna grumbled in annoyance as she looked to the side, "I really hope you hurry, Spider-Man."

"Never trust a Goblin..." Lucy said. "Especially their King."

Meanwhile Lynn Sr and Lynn Jr were getting closer to the stage, and closer to Luan.

"There she is," Lynn Sr said. "We just need to distract the guards somehow."

Lynn Jr knocked over some cans, and immediately hid herself and her father while one of the guards turned to see what happened.

"Did something just fall?" A guard asked.

"Looks like it, it's probably nothing," the other guard said.

Lynn Jr grumbled in annoyance, "Wow those guys suck as guards."

Lola however turned around and noticed both her sister and her father, "Stella, I see Lynn and my dad."

"Huh?" Stella turned around to see the Lynn duo. Cautiously she and Lola snuck over to the two.

"We really gotta find another plan," Lynn Jr said.

"Lynn!" Stella said, getting her attention. "Mr. Loud!"

"Huh? You sound like Stella," Lynn Jr said. Upon opening her face mask, this confirmed Junior's suspicions. "Stella!?"

"The one and only," Stella said.

"Well this is a surprise, what are you doing here?" Lynn Sr asked.

"I came to see the fair, like everyone else," Stella said.

"Okay, follow up question, why are you here?" Lynn Sr asked.

"...Sir, I just told you," Stella said. "To see the fair."

"I'm aware of that, but last I checked, you were hurt," Lynn Sr said.

"Just a little," Stella said.

"You broke your ribs, you should not be out of your bed!" Lynn Sr scolded. "Suppose your parents find out?"

"You're not going to tell them, are you?" Stella asked.

"Of course I am! This was very irresponsible of you!" Lynn Sr said. "I know you're better than this, Stella!"

"Dad, chill, you're talking to Stella like she's your daughter or something," Lynn Jr said.

"Don't tell me to 'chill' young lady," Lynn Sr warned. "But I see your point, it isn't my place to scold Stella. I will leave that to your parents."

"But daddy, Stella's been keeping me safe," Lola said as she hugged the tall girl. "I'm glad she's here, she's my Knight."

"Aw, I'm Lola's Knight," Stella said.

"Be that as it may, she still shouldn't have been here," Lynn Sr said, then focused on Stella. "Still, I do appreciate you looking after my daughter. I know you've looked out for my other daughters before too."

"It's nothing, Lincoln's one of my best friends after all," Stella said as she rubbed Lola's head. "And his sisters are amazing."

"Wow I hope you marry Lincoln one day," Lola said.

Stella's eyes widened in surprise, "Huh!?'

"Dang!" Lynn Jr said.

"Whoa there," Lynn Sr said. "Let's back it up."

"Hey!" One of the guards said as he stood by his friend. "We could hear you!"

"Oh now you want to hear something nearby you lazy guard!?" Lynn Jr kicked the guard to the ground and got into a scuffle.

"Security!" The other guard said, just as Lynn Sr tried to apprehend him.

Brooke and Chet turned around to see what was happening.

"Hey, who's doing that!?" Brooke asked.

Luan used this as an opportunity to stomp the feet of both Brooke and Chet as she ran for safety. "Freedom!"

"Restrain them before the boss finds out!" Brooke said as she ran for Luan.

Meanwhile Lincoln and Christina had found the maze that The Goblin ordered them to go to, the two taking a moment to look around.

"Was this maze part of the Festival?" Christina asked. "Or did Goblin build it?"

"I think it was meant to be here," Lincoln said. "I thought about coming here with Clyde at one point."

"Well that's nice," Christina said. "Actually, come to think of it, you were with Clyde not too long ago, weren't you?"

"Yeah, he and I were doing the festival thing together," Lincoln said. "Then I saw you and figured, all four of us could hang out."

"...Thinking about it, I don't think we really hung out with Clyde much," Christina said.

"Yeah, that worries me," Lincoln said. "I guess I was so distracted by spending time with you, I put Clyde aside again."

"Just curious, what made you want to hang out with me?" Christina asked. "You did say you had plans, so I hope I didn't ruin them."

"You didn't..." Lincoln said, preferring not to get too much into what Paige said. "You just seemed excited about those horses, so I changed my mind."

"Well I'm glad you did," Christina said, the girl bashfully rubbing her arm. "We do so much as Spider-Man and Firestar, but I feel like we don't hang out as often when we're not being superheroes. I want less of a work relationship, and more of a personal one."

"That does sound nice," Lincoln said. "Spending time with you felt kind of normal. I'd like to do it more often. Maybe later we can go grab a shake. Just the two of us."

"Oh, what's this, are you asking me out on a date?" Christina teased.

"I...guess I am," Lincoln nervously admitted.

"Well, I look forward to it," Christina said. "Now let's wrap this villain situation up."

The two continued walking around the maze, keeping a close eye on everything. The two were hoping to find the exit sooner than later.

As they walked however, Lincoln had stepped on a tile, to which his Spider-Sense immediately went off. "Get down!"

The boy brought Christina down just as a barrage of arrows started flying, the two barely avoiding it.

"What the heck!?" Christina shouted in disbelief.

"Quick, start crawling!" Lincoln said as he and Christina inched of the room.

Once it looked safe, Lincoln and Christina stood up and tried distancing themselves from the room. As they walked, Lincon's Spider-Sense went of yet again, as he pulled Christina away from a spike that shot upwards.

"Whoa!" Christina stepped back, prompting Lincoln to again pull her away from another spike, the boy now making sure the two stood still. "Wow, you have amazing reflexes."

"It's a gift," Lincoln said. "Looks like there's spikes around, we'll need to be careful."

As Lincoln stepped back, another spike came up and grazed against his back, the boy nearly freaking out as he slowly turned around and saw what could have ended up.

"Holy smokes..." Lincoln said as he stepped away while feeling around his back area. "I hope I didn't tear anything."

"That would be pretty embarrassing," Christina said. "Especially if-"

"You don't need to say it!" Lincoln hastily stated, then felt relief to know that nothing happened. "Nothing tore."

"Well I'm glad you're okay, but given your reflexes, I'm surprised to see you all freaked out," Christina said.

"Good reflexes or not, this is a stressful situation," Lincoln said. "I'm just trying not to get us skewered."

"Well, there's one way around it," Christina began to float upwards. "I can fly, and you don't need the floor."

"Right, good point," Lincoln used his webs to pull himself up. "Yeah, this is clearly safer."

Unknown to the two, they activated some invisible lasers and some spears were thrown at them, prompting them to dodge, or in Lincoln's case, quickly parry.

"How is this happening!?" Christina shouted as she floated back down. Once on the ground, another spike came up, but fortunately, it jammed just short of impaling a freaked out Christina. "That...was close."

"Be careful!" Lincoln landed, the boy then surrounded by several spikes, as he instinctively broke them down. "That's it, I'm getting us out of here!"

He ran to grab Christina and rushed out of the room with her, desperately and frantically avoiding the spikes until they got to another room.

The boy was anxiously panting, thankful to have gotten out of the room, with Christina looking just as relieved to have escaped.

"That was so weird," Christina said, then heard some rumbling. "Um...what's that noise?"

Lincoln looked behind himself and saw a boulder coming his way. "Run...RUN!"

"Are you freaking kidding me!?" Christina shouted as she and Lincoln desperately ran from the boulder

Fortunately the two found another room they could escape to and immediately jumped inside, both quick to scurry away, relieved that they weren't crushed.

"Why do I feel like I'm in an old adventure movie?" Christina asked.

"I feel like I've actually seen a movie like this," Lincoln said as he stood up. "That or these traps just remind me so much of Luan's April Fool's Pranks."

"Are they really that dangerous?" Christina asked.

"Well let's just say they're a close second to everything we've seen so far," Lincoln said. "Anyway, come on, all these traps likely mean we're getting closer to the exit."

"Or The Green Goblin's just messing with us," Christina said.

"Either way, we need to go," Lincoln said.

The two continued walking until they accidentally stepped on another tile, causing the floor to open and fall into a pit.

"Now what?" Christina asked in annoyed. Suddenly some water started filling the place, causing the girl to worry. "Uh..."

Lincoln looked up and saw a pathway, but it was about to be blocked by a door, "Quick, we need to get up there!"

The water started pouring in faster, the two already up to their waist. Christina tried using her powers, but the water was colder than she expected. "I'm having trouble heating up!"

"Climb on my back," Lincoln said as he took Christina into a piggyback ride. Lincoln then began climbing up and toward the exit.

"The water's coming down faster!" Christina noted as the water levels continuously rose. "And the door's closing faster too!"

"Don't worry!" Lincoln said as he climbed. "We'll get out!"

Lincoln nearly slipped a few times due to the wet walls and having just been in the water himself, but he continued on until he was able to slip past the door just before it closed.

The boy was once again relieved to have just escaped death as he left Christina down while the two walked toward what looked to be the exit.

Once on the other side, the two came across a bright sunny light, both shielding their eyes for a second before realizing they were in an arena.

"Congratulations! You two have made it to the final round!" The Green Goblin said. "You've used your cunning and wit to make it this far, now for the important part of all...a test of strength!"

"Are you finally going to face us yourself!?" Lincoln asked.

"Pfft, haven't you played any RPG game?" The Goblin asked. "You need to face my henchmen first!"

Within moments, several people with Halloween inspired gear had infiltrated the arena, to which Lincoln and Christina were facing back-to-back.

"Surveying this will by my two leaders...Jack'O Lantern 1 and 2!" Goblin declared as he gestured to a door. Oddly enough no one was seen emerging from it. "I said...Jack'O Lantern 1 and 2!"

Still no one emerged, much to the confusion of not only the Goblin, but also his henchmen and the two heroes.

Breaking character for a moment, Johnathan whispered into a radio out of earshot. "Brooke! Chet! Where are you!?"

In the stadium, Brooke and Chet had just tied up Luan, Lola, Lynn Jr, Lynn Sr and Stella.

"Let this be a lesson not to cross The Green Goblin!" Brooke said.

"Uh...Brooke," Chet whispered to the girl. "The boss is expecting us at the arena."

"Oh crap!" Brooke turned to the crowd. "My associate and I will be leaving! But there are still guards here! If anyone tries anything funny...well, you can figure it out!"

Brooke and Chet had left everyone behind, prompting Lynn Jr to taunt them, "Yeah you better run!"

Within a few seconds, the Jack'O Lantern Duo had made it to the arena, Brooke being the first to apologize, "Sorry, we're here now!"

"About time..." Johnathan said, before getting back into his Goblin character. "Behold! Jack'O Lantern 1 and 2!"

"Geez, did they take the wrong bus or something?" Lincoln asked in a mildly annoyed tone.

"To think he has two now," Christina said. "How do you think that even happened?"

"I'm not sure, let's just focus on defeating them," Lincoln said. "They're not that strong, so I think we can take them if we focus on our teamwork."

"Hey! We are so strong!" Brooke said. "And last we checked; you don't have your mommy here to protect you!"

"I swear, she better not be talking about Natasha..." Lincoln angrily lamented.

"Speaking of Natasha, how do you think she'll react to us fighting The Green Goblin?" Christina asked.

"Well to be fair, he came to us, so I don't think she'll be mad," Lincoln said.

"Can you survive my arena? Against my most fierce warriors?" Goblin asked. "Let's find out. Minions! Attack!"

The group of minions rushed at Lincoln and Christina.

The first wave was just guys fighting with their bare hands, making them easy pickings for the two heroes. Lincoln zipped around and hit each of them with an uppercut. Chrstina flew around and blasted a bunch.

The minions were quick to fall, but the fight was not yet over. The second wave attacked with medieval weaponry, ranging from swords, to axes, to lances and even morning stars. Some had even come riding in on horses to really fit the theme.

"Wow, they're taking this seriously," Lincoln said as he used his webbing to pull one minion off a horse and then swung that minion around like a battering ram to knock out the others.

Christina blasted a few, doing her best not to hurt the horses, and only focus on the villains.

"You know, when I pictured myself LARPing today, I was hoping it'd be more of a fun day off to dominate my enemies!" Lincoln said. "Now you're turning it into an on the clock duty?! Not cool Gobby!"

One minion tried to attack Lincoln with a sword, but the boy webbed over a nearby shield and blocked the strike, allowing him to uppercut the minion.

Another minion dashed at Christina with a morning star, but she evaded the attack and blasted him back, then focused on blasting another attacker, leaving the minions defeated.

Then came the third wave, where various minions came in with bows and arrows and started firing from the distance.

"More arrows!?" Lincoln said in annoyance. He and Christina each grabbed a shield to protect themselves from the arrows and quickly rushed in to attack.

While they were more vulnerable long distance, their advantage greatly increased as they closed the gap between them and the henchmen, the two using their quick skills to knock their foes out.

"Is that all you got!?" Lincoln asked.

"My Jack'O Lanterns? If you may?" Goblin said.

"With pleasure," Brooke said, landing before them while whipping out what looked like futuristic technology.

"Wait...that looks like alien tech!" Lincoln said. "But how, I stopped the Enforcers!"

"We already had some to begin with," Brooke said. "You just made it harder to get more! So thanks for ruining business!"

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize that preventing illegal alien black market deals was so unforgivable!" Lincoln said. "Also, your weapons aren't even medieval themed!"

"Hey, aliens could have existed in medieval times," Brooke pointed out as she aimed her Chitauri club.

Chet came down with a Chitauri blaster, "So we're taking creative liberties."

"You're so full of crap!" Lincoln said. "Then again, they were barely any spider themed heroes back in medieval times either, so I guess they see their point."

"Take this!" Brooke tried to whack Lincoln with the club, but he was quick to cartwheel away, then spent time dodging her attacks.

Chet attempted to blast Christina but her quick movements allowed her to feasibly dodge.

Brooke desperately tried to attack Lincoln, the boy dodging and going for a punch that Brooke blocked with her club, but not without feeling some force.

Brooke then rushed in to attack again, with Lincoln dodging out of the way and going for a kick that Brooke again blocked.

"I won't go down so easily!" Brooke slammed the club on the ground to create a shockwave that briefly knocked Lincoln off balance, allowing her to land an attack that sent him bouncing across the ground.

"Spider-Man!" Christina wanted to help but the girl nearly left herself open for a blast. Fortunately she dodged at the last second and blasted her foe, before going it to attack more.

This fight was currently being broadcast to the stadium as everyone watched on in anticipation. Lana grew worried, knowing that it was Lincoln fighting for his life out there. In addition, Stella was just as concerned about the two, hoping they could get out in one piece. Paige also looked on in worry, fully concerned for Christina's safety.

Others from Clyde, to Lori, to Emma and Chloe, each of them having various reactions to the fight, and hoping this would end soon.

This was broadcast in a lot of places, including Jordan's temporary home as she looked on with concern. To know that The Goblin was terrorizing others again did not put her at ease.

"Mollie..." Jordan recalled her friend. "Lincoln..." She recalled the boy she once dated. "Come on Spider-Man, put an end to that lunatic!"

Also watching from the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier was Natasha, the woman understandably concerned about her two proteges.

"Figures they'd reach The Green Goblin before I did..." Natasha said. "I need a word with those kids, preferably sooner than later."

In Great Lakes, both Ronnie Anne and Sid couldn't believe what they were seeing either. The Green Goblin had returned, and their friends were in danger.

"Guess it's a good thing we didn't go to that fair, huh?" Sid asked.

"Seriously? Is that all you can think about?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"Sorry, I was just trying to lighten the mood," Sid said. "But I think Spider-Man and Firestar will be fine."

"I hope so," Ronnie Anne said as she glanced back at the TV.

In the arena, Lincoln was still dodging Brooke's attacks, though the girl got at least one more lucky hit in, filling her with confidence.

"It's over Spider-Man! You will no longer be able to come between the King and his Kingdom!" Brooke rushed to attack again.

Lincoln was quick to block and deflect the attack away, allowing him to web the girl up. "No offense to Gobby, but he's more like a Royal Fool! Besides, he wouldn't be the first tyrannical ruler I've overthrown!"

Lincoln then hit the girl with a powerful uppercut, knocking her into the air as he jumped up, delivered a few more strikes and then delivered a kick that sent her flying down, before webbing each side of her and crashed down with a double knee to her stomach, knocking the wind out of the girl.

"I hope that wasn't too much," Lincoln worried as he got up.

"No!" Chet attempted to blast Lincoln, but Christina flew in and rammed him from behind, knocking him face first to the floor. She went back up and rammed again, crashing hard on his back and knocking the wind out of him, leaving the man unconscious.

With that done, Lincoln looked up at the screen, "We defeated the morons with fruits for heads that YOU hired! Now will you fight us?"

"...Another day, if you live," Goblin pressed a button that activated a timer.

"H-hey! What did you do!?" Lincoln asked.

"Here's a bonus round for you," Goblin said. "Find the bombs before the timer goes off, or everyone dies."

"Hold on, what!?" Lincoln shouted in disbelief.

"I came here to find a Kingdom fit for a King, not a Prop fit for a Jester," Goblin said. "You have five minutes."

The villain left the screen as the timer went down, leaving Lincoln and Christina worried.

"You gotta be kidding me!" Christina said. "Where could he have left the bomb!?"

"He must have left it somewhere in the stadium, let's hurry!" Lincoln said.

The two quickly returned to the stadium to find everyone panicking about the bomb.

"Oh man, we're gonna die!" Rusty lamented. "Hey, Mollie, if we don't survive-"

"Do not confess your love to me," Mollie said. "I don't care if we die, you are not my type."

"Wow, rude..." Rusty said.

Lola was crying loudly on stage, "I'm too young and pretty to die!"

"We'll be fine, Spider-Man and Firestar just need to find the bomb," Stella said.

The two landed on stage, frantically searching around for any henchmen they could interrogate.

"Wait, did all the henchmen go to the arena?" Lincoln asked.

"Spider-Man!" Stella called. "If you're looking for The Green Goblin's goons, they left the moment the bomb activated. They had jetpacks!"

"Figures," Lincoln said. "Okay, we can find this bomb, and defuse it."

"Did he leave a riddle?" Luan asked.

"The only thing he said was that this Kingdom is not fit for a King, only a Jester," Lincoln said.

"What does that even mean!?" Lola asked.

Stella thought it over before realizing something, "Wait, this Kingdom. Luan is Princess for today, right!?"

"Yeah, what about it?" Lynn Jr asked.

"She's normally a comedian, so since she's a Princess, that means she's the Jester that The Green Goblin was referring to!" Stella said.

"Wait, so is the bomb on me or something!?" Luan asked.

Stella looked behind toward the stage, "The castle! It's yours Luan! Goblin wants to get rid of it! So..."

"The bomb must be in there!" Lincoln said. He and Christina climbed onto the fake castle and spotted a large looking device. "The bomb!"

"Quick! Disarm it!" Christina said.

"Me!?" Lincoln asked.

"Yes you! Don't you know how!?" Christina asked. "Wasn't Black Widow teaching you!?"

"A little but..." Lincoln looked at the bomb. "This is the real deal!"

"Well you gotta try something!" Christina said. "Come on Spider-Man, if anyone can do it, it's you!"

"Uh..." Lincoln looked like he wanted to panic. He then felt Christina caressing his face.

"Listen, just do your best," Christina said. "We've not nothing to lose anyway. But, if this is our last moments, I want it to be with the boy I've grown to really care about."

"...Before I do this, I have to take a chance," Lincoln said. He lifted his mask slightly and brought Christina in for a kiss, one that took the girl by surprise.

While she was not expecting this, she did not object as she slowly but surely returned the affection, allowing herself to feel the rush of romance coursing threw her.

"Hey! Is everything okay over there!" Stella called. "We can't see you so we're hoping you're working!"

Lincoln pulled away in worry, "Crap, I should disarm this."

"Take your time," Christina said. "Well, we only have about a minute left, so maybe take your time with urgence."

"Right, that totally makes sense," Lincoln sarcastically said as he checked the wires. He was quick to pull one at random, but each wire he went near gave him a buzzing sensation. He kept trying until he came across one that he had a better feeling on. "This is it!"

Taking a chance, he pulled the wire with only seven seconds left on the timer. Fortunately, his good feeling paid off, as the bomb had stopped, and no longer a threat.

"I did it!" Lincoln said.

"You did it!" Christina cheered, then got everyone's attention. "He did it! Spider-Man disarmed the bomb!"

"Oh thank God!" Rusty said.

"We're alive!" Chloe shouted in glee as she hugged Emma close.

"Whoo! Still alive, bitches!" Lynn Jr said.

"Language, Junior!" Lynn Sr scolded.

"Give it up for Spider-Man, ladies and gents!" Luna as she shined a spotlight on him. "He and Firestar really saved the day!"

Lincon in costume nervously waved at the crowd while disguising his voice, "Uh, thank you for your support good citizens!"

"Where's The Green Goblin!?" Lori called.

"I...don't know!" Lincoln said. "But I will find him!"

"...Well that puts a damper on his win," Lori said.

"Put a lid on it," Lucy said. "The Goblin King will be dethroned soon enough. For now, let's be grateful that Spider-Man saved us."

"Give it up for Spider-Man, y'all!" Liam said. "And Firestar too!"

The crowd cheered for the two heroes, both happy with the admiration they recieved. While Lincoln waved, he looked down and spotted a walkie-talkie. He picked it up to speak into it, "Hey Gobby, if you're listening, I still owe you a beating."

"I...am so disappointed in you, Spider-Man," Goblin said. "To think you would risk your life for these foolish people."

"These are good people, and I made a promise to always use my powers to help others," Lincoln said. "These people will always have their Spider-Man."

"Here's the irony, you seem to need them more than they will care about you," Goblin said. "You think you have their unconditional love? Just wait until you really screw up."

"What are you even going on about?" Lincoln asked.

"In spite of everything you do for them, in the end, everyone will hate you," Goblin said. "Why even bother caring when in the end, it will all come crashing down for you."

"We'll see about that!" Lincoln said as h crushed the walkie-talkie, dropping it in the midst of all of his cheering.

During the celebration, Christina hugged Lincoln close, the girl whispering to the boy. "Should we give them a show?"

"No way, besides if you kiss me now, it will be hard for us to date outside the costume," Lincoln whispered back. "Some of my sisters know you're Firestar, as does Paige. They'll wonder why you kissed Spider-Man, and started dating Lincoln."

"Guess you're right, come on, let's get out of our costumes," Christina said. "You owe me a date."

Lincoln nodded before turning to the citizens, "Good day everyone!"

The two heroes made their exit as the arena once again opened. People were finally free to leave.

Everyone watching all around were relieved as well. Jordan happy that her friends were safe. Ronnie Anne and Sid happy that Royal Woods was safe. Natasha relieved that Lincoln and Christina were safe, but still worried about The Green Goblin.

"I'll find you, Goblin King," Natasha said as she went back to work.

Once the Louds made it outside, they immediately looked for Lincoln.

"Bro! Where are you!?" Luna asked.

"Over here!" Lincoln said, running over toward his family.

"I am so glad you're safe!" Rita said as she hugged her son. "Oh you must have been so scared."

"A little, but Spider-Man and Firestar let me know things would be fine," Lincoln said. He looked to Lana the girl winking at him, to which he winked back.

"I'm glad you're okay," Rita said. "Looks like this fair was another bust."

"Hey we had some fun at least," Luna said. "Besides, the day's still young."

"You still want to goof around and stuff?" Lori asked. "We were just taken hostage!"

"Hey, I'm not letting some wannabe King scare me," Luna said. "Spider-Man fought for my Freedom, and I'm going to enjoy it, regardless of danger."

"I still want to do that parade," Lola said, the girl hand in hand with Stella. "With my Knight by my side."

"...Stella?" Rita asked, noticing that Stella was out of her costume.

"Hi Mrs. Loud," Stella greeted.

"...Do your parents know you're here?" Rita asked.

"They don't," Lynn Sr said. "But they will."

"Good," Rita said, before glancing down at Stella. "Do you have anything to say for yourself, young lady?"

"No ma'am," Stella said. "I messed up, I'm sorry."

"Well don't do it again," Lynn Sr said. "You're one of my son's friends, and you're special to him. I'd hate to see such a kind young girl put herself in danger like this."

"P-precious!?" Stella asked while blushing.

"Dad!" Lincoln shouted in annoyance.

"Oh...um...gee, maybe that was too strong," Lynn Sr said.

"It's fine Stella, you are precious, not just to Lincoln, but to me too!" Lola said as she hugged Stella hard. "You're definitely my favorite among Lincoln's friends!"

Stella started to feel an incredible amount of pain from how hard Lola was hugging. "That's...nice...!"

"Uh...Lola?" Lincoln said. "Stella's ribs?"

Lola's eyes widened as she pulled away, "Sorry, I get a little emotional sometimes."

"It's fine..." Stella said while trying to hold back some tears. "I'm...flattered." She began walking off. "I need to sit down."

"Come with me, Stella, I'll help you get settled," Rita said.

"I'll help too!" Lily said while following her mother.

Moments later, Christina came by, and saw Stella's predicament, "Did I miss something?"

"Not really," Lincoln said, then turned to the girl. "So...ready to get that shake?"

"You bet," Christina said, then kissed Lincoln on the cheek. She turned toward his family, "Bye for now, Louds."

"Uh...bye," Luna said as Lincoln walked off with Christina. "Wow, so they're dating now, huh?"

"Looks like it," Lynn Sr proudly said. "That boy of mine, he really knows how to pull in the ladies. Just like his old man did once."

"Dad...no," Lucy said.

"Yeah, seriously," Lynn Jr said.

"Oh fine," Lynn Sr said. "Besides, those girls were nothing compared to your mother. Even to this day she gets my heart racing."

"Dad, no more mushy talk!" Luan said.

"But it's true, I really love your mother," Lynn Sr said.

"DAD!" The girls sans Lori shouted.

Lori looked too bitter at seeing Lincoln walking off with Christina, "And once again, Ronnie Anne gets ignored. You need to do better, Lincoln."

The fair continued to go on for a bit longer, people trying to shake off what happened and enjoy themselves, save for a few miserable faces.

Clyde looked just as annoyed at Lincoln opting to spend time with Christina, the boy feeling even more isolated than before as he simply just went home.

Meanwhile, Chandler was seen locked in a pillory for all his constant pranks as the boy begged to be released. "Come on! Can't you take a joke!?"

Calm as things seemed, it was about to get more sinsiter, as more villains made plans for a comeback.
