Author's Notes: Chapter edited and corrected by Vongrak.
"They're finally gone!" I moaned with pleasure as I collapsed onto the cot, exhausted, when I finally saw all the adults leave the room. After a long discussion about public relations and what to say, and what not to say, in public, I could finally rest.
There was so much to discuss, like my relationship with Ryuma, my quirks, how much I could reveal, what comments I could make about UA, last night's incident, my kidnapping—basically everything. And in short, they basically tried to tell me one thing.
How dare they tell me to stay away from the cameras, and even from social media? Especially to control my 'idiocy' in public. It's not idiocy! I call it chaos! … even though sometimes it was nonsense, but still! How dare they say it!
Even Aizawa told me not to be arrogant in front of the cameras, but I wasn't arrogant!
Please. It's not like I'm going to go out in public and start proclaiming to everyone something like, 'Throughout heaven and earth, I alone am The Honored One,' although… I mean… it's a pretty good line, too good not to use it at some point…
I would have to wait for the perfect moment.
"Whatever you're thinking, no," Taylor said curtly, bringing me back to reality. I glared at her indignantly.
"You don't even know what I was thinking!" I retorted to Taylor, and in fact, the others were staring blankly at me.
"We know your 'I'm thinking of doing something stupid' face." Ruby pointed at me, and I pouted.
"I wasn't thinking about that!" I complained to them. None of them believed me, so I huffed and started grumbling. Taylor sighed wearily.
"You'd better get some rest," Taylor said as she stood up with a huff.
"Let's have sex!" I said with a huge, wide smile. Taylor moaned loudly.
"No, and please, not in front of the others," Taylor groaned in frustration, still pointing at Izuku, Bakugou, and Todoroki, who were still in the room. I rolled my eyes.
"Don't worry about them." I said casually, Taylor just gave me a blank stare.
"Goddess, you really are like a dog, half the time being stupid and half the time thinking about sex." Bakugou growled dryly, and I raised an eyebrow in her direction.
"Excuse me, were you describing yourself?" I asked innocently. I could see Bakugou's eye twitch slightly.
"If it weren't for the fact that I have a question, I swear to the-" Bakugou growled before closing her eyes tightly. "Look, just answer one question and I'll get the hell out of here." Bakugou grumbled, and I looked at her curiously.
"Shoot." I said simply. Bakugou looks at Izuku and I look at her solemnly.
"You said the fourth user... she lived to be 40 because of One For All, will the same thing happen to Izuku?" Bakugou asked seriously, which seemed to stop all the other girls, even Izuku who opened his eyes slightly.
"No," I said without hesitation before looking at Taylor. "Now we can have sex-"
"Wait! How are you so sure? " Bakugou growled, interjecting once again. I rolled my eyes; I could see the worry in her eyes.
"Because All Might is the Eighth Hokage, and he's in his mid-fifties," I said slowly. Bakugou's eyes widened in realization. "The problem was with Hikage. She lacked a key element to sustain One For All completely and flawlessly, or rather... she had something that neither All Might nor Izuku possess," I stated simply. Izuku's eyes widened.
"...we're both quirkless." Izuku muttered quickly before he realized he'd said it, then he paled.
"Exactly. The problem with OFA is that it also enhances the user's original quirk, and that's what damages the body. Since they're an empty vessel, OFA can perfectly adapt to All Might's body and Izuku's, so seriously, don't worry, he's not going to die of premature old age or anything," I said casually.
I saw Bakugou sigh in relief, a long sigh that he seemed to have been holding in for a while.
"So... does that mean Midoriya, and future users, have to find someone quirkless to be their successors in the future?" Todoroki asked, frowning.
"It'll be impossible. There are fewer and fewer quirkless people; in a couple of generations, they won't exist anymore," Azula said immediately, frowning. I wrinkled my nose slightly as I thought.
"That... I have no idea," I said, shrugging. "I mean, you could try—" I quickly closed my mouth and frowned.
"What?" Bakugou asked quickly. "You know something, spit it out." Bakugou growled. I glared at him before sighing wearily.
"Yes... I know many things. And yes, I saw how Izuku could use OFA, in a way that previous users couldn't." I said honestly, and that seemed to surprise Izuku.
"Which one?" Bakugou asked, I ignored her.
"If you want to know, I'll tell you." I said to Izuku directly.
"Only-"
"Silence, Bakugou, this is Izuku's decision." I said coldly. Bakugou closed her mouth tightly, looked at Izuku before nodding, even so, he glared at me.
"I-" Izuku tries to say uncertainly, I hum slightly.
"You don't have to say yes," I said gently. "What I saw is something you discovered on your own. You'll achieve it eventually, even without my help." I said honestly. After all, the other quirks within OFA should be about to awaken any moment.
I saw Izuku's face change countless times before he took a deep breath. He looked at me without a hint of hesitation; it was pure determination.
"I want to know, I want to get stronger... I... Dad can't use OFA anymore, so the responsibility of fighting All For One, if he returns, will fall on me. I need to be ready." Izuku said determinedly. I smiled slightly.
"Are you sure? I'm sure that... in a few weeks you could do it on your own." I said playfully, and Izuku nodded.
"It doesn't matter, you said it yourself, there's a time limit for me to come back, every week counts." Izuku said without hesitation, I frowned slightly.
"That's true, but if I tell you, will you spend all your time training? It won't do you any good if you kill yourself training." I said simply, before giving him a subtle smile. "I'm sure All Might told you not to be impatient with your training to the point of collapse." I said playfully.
Izuku shuddered slightly and blushed a little.
"Oh... did you see that?" he asked shyly, and I chuckled.
"Something, then? I'll tell you, if you promise to keep a normal training schedule and get adequate rest." I made a deal with Izuku, who opened his mouth. "Look at it this way, it's still an improvement over waiting weeks to figure it out on your own." I said playfully. Izuku pouted.
"Good." Izuku finally said, and I laughed slightly.
"Bakugou, make sure he doesn't overexert himself. I'm sure you know better than any of us what he's capable of." I said to Bakugou, who frowned and nodded.
"I'll do it, I'll drag him so he can rest if necessary." Bakugou said without hesitation, and I nodded.
"Alright! Then, let's go over something obvious." I said cheerfully while looking at Izuku. "The first quirk, Yoichi 's quirk, is capable of assimilating any quirk it comes into contact with and merging into something greater. So, upon acquiring Power Stock, it became One For All and was then transferred from person to person. Do you see the point?" I asked expectantly.
Izuku opened his mouth completely confused. I sighed.
"I repeat, Yoichi's quirk is capable of assimilating ALL quirks." I said slowly. I could see Izuku's mind working quickly, and I smiled as his eyes widened in shock. "One For All not only assimilated Power Stock, but also the quirks of other users within OFA." I confirmed Izuku's suspicions.
I could see the shock on everyone's faces, especially Izuku's, I just continued.
"Within OFA, there's Gearshift from the second, Fa Jin from the third, Danger Sense from the fourth, Blackwhip from the fifth, Smokescreen from the sixth, and... Float from your grandmother." I said softly. Izuku shuddered slightly, but continued to stare at me, his eyes wide. "You'll be able to use all those quirks, in addition to OFA." I finished with a smile.
"I-" Izuku tried to say, but he seemed so surprised that he was speechless.
"But... if all those quirks are in OFA, why... why don't I use them, All Might?" Ruby asked, confused, beside me.
"Excellent question," I said with a smile, raising a finger. "Pure luck," I added, surprising everyone with a grin that sent shrugs through their eyes. I chuckled and shrugged. "Seriously, OFA grew so strong that it had an 'Awakening,' so to speak, when it was transferred to Izuku. That's the only reason quirks start to awaken."
"OFA is getting stronger, the remnants within it are also growing stronger, and with them, the quirks are surfacing. I mean... you had to have seen the remnants, right? In dreams, visions, or something, it should have happened by now." I said with a smile to Izuku, who opened his eyes slightly and nodded.
"Yes... I, yes, I saw them a couple of times. Dad didn't know what they were either. I... he only saw them, I think, twice, and just silhouettes of the users. I... I see them more and more clearly." Izuku said slowly, and I nodded.
"Then it's close. The remnants will only keep getting stronger, to the point where you'll be able to interact with them. And with them come their quirks. So get ready to have seven voices in your head," I said mockingly. Izuku nodded.
"Seven voices? Isn't he the ninth? " Todoroki asked. I nodded.
"Yes, but All Might won't have a vestige, or at least not one capable of speech. I don't really know the mechanics, I didn't see much, but... vestiges are... they're not ghosts or anything like that, they're... they're the representation of the quirks, embodying the ideals, emotions, and memories of the original user of that quirk. They aren't the original, but they have the will and make the same decisions as the original."
"All Might... didn't have a quirk to leave a vestige like that, but I suppose a part of his will is in there. Vestiges are... weird." I said with a grimace. Everyone nodded in understanding.
"Wait! You just told the teachers that the vestiges were dangerous, that I could control the body and all that, isn't it dangerous for Midoriya to have 7 voices? " Ruby asked, confused. That made Bakugou tense up and glare at me. I just snorted.
"Please, no, Izuku is not in any danger. The AFO vestige is a danger because it is cruel, it is pure evil, it wouldn't hesitate to kill the consciousness of its host and vice versa, the vestiges inside AFO rebelled because they hate AFO."
"Izuku doesn't have to worry about any of that. All the OFA users are good people; they'll help him, especially when he finds out he'll have to face AFO once again. So really, don't worry." I tried to calm them down quickly. Bakugou still frowned, but nodded.
"We'd better go," Todoroki said gently. "We all have things to do, especially rest," she added. Izuku nodded and looked at me with a smile.
"Thanks for everything, Izumi!" Izuku smiled broadly, and I just nodded. "Should we send the rest of the class, or tell them to come visit you later?" Izuku asked, and I hummed.
"Tell them I'm fine. Apparently, I'm tired enough to sleep, even though that's not true." I said, looking at Taylor, who stuck her tongue out. "Tell them to rest and sleep too. They can come over later, or I'll see them if Recovery Girl lets me off for lunch." I said simply.
"Understood!" said Izuku before leaving with Todoroki and Bakugou.
"We'll let you rest," Darkness said with a smile as she prepared to leave.
"Already?" Ruby complained. "I wanted to ask you about your new ways of using your quirk! You were able to create shadow weapons! Even imitating other people! I didn't know he could do that with his shadows! " Ruby said quickly. I laughed slightly.
"No, and I don't think I can do it anytime soon," I said playfully. They all looked at me confused, and I shrugged. "Trying to use Haki to harden my shadows is... quite a difficult task that I don't think I'll ever repeat. I don't even know how it works; my shadows literally have no consistency. I don't know if it's liquid, air, or something weird. It was very difficult to use Haki on them."
I grimaced as I remembered that feeling; if it weren't for the fact that I was practically running on pure adrenaline, I don't think I could have done it under normal conditions.
"And the other thing, when I flooded the entire battlefield with shadows, I call it 'Chimera Shadow Garden,' it's... I had to push my quirk beyond its maximum, to 120%, I don't think I can use it normally."
"And all the 'new' abilities came with that ability: solid shadows, clones, replicas, change of appearance—it's just using shadows on a whole new level. I could even use the same invocation multiple times at once with its full power."
"It was... weird, but honestly, I don't think I could push it that far normally." I said with a tired sigh.
"Oh," Ruby said with a pout.
"That just means you need to train," Azula mocked. "Get that 120% back to your 100%," Azula said, shrugging as if it were obvious. I chuckled and nodded.
"Yeah, I guess so," I said playfully. The girls smiled before looking at each other.
"Okay, shall we go?" Taylor asked, pointing to the door. I nodded.
"Go away, and go to sleep. Don't think I haven't noticed your dark circles." I pointed at the four of them, and they nodded. "And call my mother, she's still awake," I said simply.
"Is Iori awake? Didn't she go to sleep? " Ruby asked, confused. I sighed.
"Yeah, right, as if she could go to sleep. If you couldn't sleep, she certainly couldn't. The only reason she said it was as an excuse to leave the room while we were having this talk." I said dryly, and their eyes widened slightly.
"We'll look for her," Taylor said, nodding. With that, the four of them left. I sighed wearily as I lay down. I grabbed the Scroll that Taylor had brought me and started looking at the messages and replying to them quickly.
I really didn't want to see the world's reaction to everything that happened last night; the next few weeks will be a real drag.
Author's Notes : A promise is a promise! As I said, slow chapters! Next week I should start with the different POVs.
