Chapter 129 - Izumi Miyamura: Xover - Chapter 127

Author's Notes: Chapter edited and corrected by Scott Fellman.

Everyone who had been waiting on the platform immediately came forward and began talking over each other, turning the whole thing into an unintelligible hubbub. All Might stepped forward, clapped a few times, and raised his hand to silence everyone.

They all had conflicting looks, but they took a step back as All Might looked at them. All Might sighed tiredly and looked us up and down, trying to fully see all of us.

"Is everyone okay? Is anyone hurt?" All Might asked, a hint of concern in his voice.

"We're all fine, completely healthy. Some of us are a little bruised, but nothing worse than training," Midoriya said with a smile as he tried to calm his father down. I laughed lightly.

"That's good." All Might sighed in relief. I could hear more sighs from the crowd.

"Yes, that's all. I'm leaving." She interrupted once, my ears twitching slightly in excitement at the voice. My head jerked up, and a huge smile spread across my face. I stepped out of the crowd to face the voice.

"Huntress Tawataaaa!" I exclaimed happily when I saw the S-rank Huntress. I could see in the instant that Tawata froze in place and paled considerably, turning stiffly to look at me.

"The Gate is solved. Draw Sword's presence is no longer needed. See you." Tawata said quickly before trying to turn around. I stepped forward, grabbed Tawata's wrist, and held it tightly.

Tawata didn't give up; in fact, she started using more force to try to free herself while clenching her teeth.

"Are you leaving so early?" I asked jovially as I clung to Tawata's arm.

"Miyamura." Tawata growled in annoyance, my smile growing.

"Ah! You remember me, Huntress Tawata!" I said with a huge, bright smile. Tawata shuddered.

"It's impossible to forget someone so annoying," Tawata growled. My eyes lit up.

"You say the nicest things, Huntress Tawata." I laughed playfully.

"It wasn't a compliment," she snapped. I smiled innocently at her.

"How cruel, Huntress Tawata, don't you think I'm surprised?" I asked while pouting.

"Of course not," she growled. "In fact, I could go my entire life without seeing you and I wouldn't miss you in the slightest." She added, glaring at me.

"Too bad, I missed you, Huntress Tawata." I mocked her as I took a step forward and approached Tawata. Tawata tried to take a step back, but I pulled her by the arm when she seemed to get careless. Her body pressed against mine.

"Don't stick to me! You're all sweaty!" Tawata said, blushing as she pushed me away. Her gaze dropped to my chest almost immediately, though. My black shirt was completely plastered to my body, leaving little to the imagination.

"How rude, Huntress Tawata, you don't say that to a man. That's why you're still single at your age," I chided her with fake annoyance. I could see Tawata's eye twitch.

"I'll kill you. It'll just be a little death, a slow and painful one. I'm sure it will count as self-defense. I can make it look like an accident." Tawata muttered as her free hand gripped her sword. My eyes shone brightly; she made it so easy.

"Little death? Ah! La Petit Mort! How bold of you to declare that you want to give me an orgasm in front of everyone." I laughed as my hand went to my cheek and I looked away, feigning embarrassment.

"What?! I didn't-! I didn't mean it like that!" Tawata said as her cheeks blushed brightly.

"What?!" I asked in shock. "Are you rejecting me?!" I made a pitiful face. "I thought I had— "

"Okay, enough." Taylor and Ruby said simultaneously as they both punched me in the head. They both sounded exasperated. Taylor hit my hand, making me drop Tawata before grabbing my neck and pulling away from her.

"Betrayed? By my fiancées no less?" I said, placing my hand on my chest. "Keeping me from having fun while making fun of someone is cruel! I need my entertainment!" I said with a huge grin. I could practically hear Tawata's eye slowly twitching.

"Entertainment? I'll show you entertainment," Tawata growled as she began to unsheathe one of her swords. I smiled arrogantly at her.

"Another bold statement, Tawata?" I mocked her, leaving behind the false cordiality and only a playful tone in my voice. To my infinite disappointment, All Might stood in the middle with a sigh.

"Huntress Tawata, thank you for coming and staying this long. You may return to your duties. We'll be in contact with Draw Sword and let him know everything that happened," All Might said professionally. Tawata looked at him before clicking her tongue. She glared at me once more before turning around and starting to leave.

"See you, Tawata! We have to meet more often!" I exclaimed playfully. Tawata only quickened her pace. Taylor punched me once more.

"Young Miyamura, please… concentrate," All Might said painfully. I laughed in amusement. Before sighing and losing my playful smile, a softer, more confident one appeared on my face.

I separated from Taylor, approached the group I had entered the dungeon with, stood up in front of them, and faced All Might. I placed my hands behind my back and looked directly at him.

"Hunter Izumi Miyamura, of UA University's Temporary Group 1-A, is pleased to report the death of the dungeon boss and the closing of the Gate that opened above I-Island." I said in a firm voice. That straightened everyone out. "The death occurred approximately 32 minutes ago, half an hour before the gate's scheduled closing."

The other six I'd entered the dungeon with straightened up behind me. Those present looked at me in surprise at the dichotomy of my actions. All Might just laughed lightly.

"Okay, team up," All Might said jovially. I nodded.

"Do you want a recap or a full explanation of everything that happened? Or can we wait until later? Some of them could use a nap. And me too," I said softly. All Might simply nodded.

"A recap is fine. I'm sure everyone here would like to talk to their loved ones and get some rest," All Might said softly as he looked around. I nodded and looked at Midoriya. He simply nodded in my direction. It seemed like he'd let me handle this.

"I suppose Miss Shield and Mr. Shield, I can tell you everything that happened up until the moment the Gate opened?" I asked simply. All Might nodded.

"Yes, the whole terrorist incident is over, including their involvement. We were able to see and piece together the entire sequence through the security cameras that recorded all the footage. Please start from the moment they arrived at the helipad," All Might said professionally.

"Well, when we arrived at the Helipad, we met this man named Arthur Watts. We tried to stop him from turning on the machine he had in his possession, we defeated the villain who had him as a bodyguard, but we weren't able to stop Watts quickly."

"The machine activated, and he escaped, immediately opening a huge port over I-Island. I could feel the Gate about to break and release the monsters, so I grabbed-"

"How?" David Shield interrupted me with a frown. I blinked in his direction and tilted my head.

"How... what?" I asked, confused.

"How did you guess the Gate is about to break? I-Island has a lot of technology to track Gates; we can even detect when it's about to break due to the unstable energy that begins to be released."

"When you grabbed the others and entered the Gate, my daughter climbed onto the helipad with a desperate expression announcing that a Gate was about to break above I-island."

"I saw the readings myself, I confirmed them myself, Dr. Polendina and Doctors Viktor and Jayce also checked them. Seconds, that's all that was left for the Gate to break when it was sealed from the inside. If you hadn't come in, the Gate would have undoubtedly broken."

"But… how did you know?" David Shield asked, staring at me. Everyone fell silent as he stared.

"Tch, shit, the dog was right," Bakugou muttered reluctantly. That broke the tension. I laughed lightly.

"Haki," I said honestly. Everyone looked confused. Only All Might's eyes shone in recognition. "I'm able to see into the future for a few seconds thanks to Haki. Normally, it's something I have to do consciously. It's... It's the first time it's activated on its own in the face of a huge threat," I said honestly.

"You saw the Gate breaking." All Might said without hesitation, and I nodded.

"I saw the Gate breaking, hundreds of monsters fall onto I-island, the dungeon boss descend in a burst of fire-" my eyes widened. "A burst of fire… a burst of fire like the one he makes with his shield." I muttered as I paled completely.

Half of the people present looked confused, while the six who entered with me paled considerably and began to curse.

"Excuse me... context, please?" All Might tried to say, confused.

" Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure... the... the monsters inside the dungeon were a type of undead. Charred undead with heavy armor, hard to kill. Well, the dungeon boss had this ability that he used on the undead and himself to revive them and increase their stats."

"The dungeon's boss room was huge, and its ability could cover the entire room easily, but there were only 10 monsters with the boss… if Miyamura is right and the Gate had broken, then… depending on the range, then we would have had hundreds of unkillable A-rank powered undead invading I-island." Midoriya said solemnly.

"That-" All Might tried to say solemnly. Everyone fell silent as they tried to imagine what could have happened. Oh… I have no doubt that All Might would have been able to defeat the monsters. But the hundreds of undead around the island? They definitely would have killed tens of thousands of people.

"Let's move on," I said with a tired sigh. "As I said, my Observation Haki activated at the threat of the gate breaking. I had to stop it, and the only way I could find was to go through the Gate when I realized it was a red Gate," I said simply.

I was actually grateful for that. The Gate had been red from the start. There were red Gates disguised as blue Gates, and they only turned red once after a group passed through, but those could be completely unnoticed.

"I decided to grab everyone who could fight at the moment and break through the Gate. I told everyone what I saw, and then we proceeded to clear the dungeon. And well, that would be it." I said with a grimace. "If you want everything we did in the dungeon, it would take a while." I said with a sigh. All Might sighed.

"It's not necessary for the moment. We can leave it for later," he said simply. We sighed in relief. Well, we could rest earlier.

"So, if I may ask, what happened on this side?" I asked curiously. All Might nodded.

"Well, once young Melissa managed to get the I-island control system under control, I immediately went upstairs to find David studying the I-island sensors he had above the newly opened Gate."

"We entered an emergency situation, the threat of a gate breaking on I-island, forced us to call in more Hunters to protect the civilians and finish off the monsters. In case... in case they failed."

"David, Drs. Polendina, Jayce, and Viktor volunteered to work together to decipher Haywire's invention and discover how he created a portal capable of breaking open as soon as it was opened."

"We've been monitoring the entire Gate situation from here. The moment the Gate opened and stabilized half an hour ago, it became clear to us that they'd defeated the dungeon boss, so the entire emergency situation ended immediately."

"We let most of the Hunters who were standing guard go. Young Hebert and Mrs. Kiramman were allowed to stay here waiting for you, Young Miyamura and Young Kiramman, respectively." All Might explained softly. We nodded.

"Something about Arthur Watts and his… collaborator?" I asked cautiously. All Might's gaze darkened.

"No... none, just like always, that Kurogiri didn't leave any trace when he took Watts. But now that we know he's alive and out there somewhere. We'll start looking for him. Even more so because it seems he's capable of handling and manipulating Haywire technology. That... makes him terribly dangerous." All Might said solemnly.

"Fuck." Jinx muttered with a grimace. All Might ignored him.

"That would be all. I would like to thank all of you for making the decision to enter the gate and prevent a great catastrophe from occurring on I-island. Thank you." All Might said while bowing slightly.

"I appreciate it too," David said, bowing in kind. Melissa did the same.

"N-no need to bow! We just did the right thing!" Midoriya said in a panic.

"More like, we had no choice. But it wasn't a problem at all!" Jinx said with an amused smile.

"It was fun!" Ruby said with a tired smile.

"It was an honor to have prevented an invasion of I-island!" Penny said with a firm look. Bakugou, Todoroki, and I remained silent. All Might simply smiled slightly.

"Even so, thank you. You saved a lot of people today. Tomorrow we can talk properly about everything once you rest up. You look dead tired. You could use a nap," All Might said softly, taking a step back.

With those words, it was as if a dam finally opened, and everyone else surrounded us once again.

Taylor approached Ruby and me with a worried look.

"Are you okay? Really okay?" Taylor asked quickly. We smiled slightly at her.

"We're fine, Cuddlebug, really fine. Just really tired," I told her honestly. I could feel Taylor's bugs moving all over me, checking every spot. I rolled my eyes, but didn't do anything to stop them.

"Can we go to sleep? I'm sleepy!" Ruby complained as she yawned and leaned sleepily against my body.

"Come on, we can talk on the way," I said lightly to Taylor. She nodded. My gaze fell on the rest. Jinx seemed to be approached by Caitlyn, Viktor, and Jayce. Caitlyn looked genuinely concerned while Jinx grimaced. Penny had her father's attention as he checked his daughter over thoroughly. Todoroki, Bakugou, and Midoriya were with All Might, David, and Melissa.

We said our goodbyes to everyone briefly and began descending the tower. Well, I've finally finished this completely. It had been a long day, and despite enjoying the challenge, I was really ready to sleep for long hours.

July 29 2xxx - Izumi pov.

It turns out we didn't get as much sleep as I'd hoped—only six hours. It was more likely because I'd set an alarm for that time. We were on I-Island, and from what I discovered before taking my well-deserved nap, the entire expo decided to start normally, albeit slightly late.

So I really didn't want to miss out on the attractions while I was sleeping. Since it was almost dawn when we got back, it was right around noon when I got up and forced Ruby to get up.

Fortunately, our auras included quite efficient regeneration, and although we were still tired, we could function normally for the rest of the day just by looking at the exhibits.

We had lunch with the Demas at noon before spending the rest of the day wandering around I-island. We even joined the rest of class 1-A and some from 1-B, I got to catch up with Darkness, Tanya, and Visha. We also had a little nap, where All Might joined us in the afternoon/evening.

It was a fun day, but now I was really ready to sleep for more than 6 hours.
